Teknic Striker Riding Shoes
More bang for a buck! A worthy purchase for Teknic fans.
Yes, I'm well aware that Teknic is no more! Exactly why I went ahead and purchased a pair, besides the fact that it was on a huge sale (yes, here on this website!).
Despite some shaky reviews regarding the hook eyelets coming loose, mine seem secure enough. (I was prepared to redo mine by using pop rivets.)
It's true what they said about the lace being too short. Yep, but not too short that I'm unable to do double (more like 1 and an half) knots.
As for comfort, it's equivalent of wearing a classic Converse sneaker. I improved mine by inserting shoe pads, slightly better now.
The Velcro strap that some reviewers felt was too long is not supposed to be tightened as to provide ankle grip support like some boot designs do. Rather, it's intended to merely cover the lace knot, nothing more.
There are no vents for airflow so don't expect anything. Those soft plastic inserts on the outside are just that. I do feel some reinforcements around the ankle area.
The factory person who glued the sole to the shoe did a poor job, resulting in numerous spots of dried glue showing.
The rubber sole is hard so beware when walking on slippery/oily floor. Lastly, my sole is white and after riding and walking for a couple of hours, is already brown-strained.
Do I regret the purchase? No, I don't! As an owner of several Teknic products I'm disappointed to see the brand disappear. Farewell, it has been fun!

Incorrect Sizing Chart.
Sizing chart states that Euro 45 in U.S 10.5.
This is incorrect.
I ordered 45 and got 11 - as it should be.

GREAT VALUE FOR THE $$$
This is great footwear for those who want protection but prefer not to wear a heavy boot. I highly recommend this alternative.

The shoes looked and feel great. I got the black and white and they fit perfect. Save yourself some time and take them to a shoe repair shop and have them switch out the cleats for eyelets and get longer laces. Other than that they are awesome

Bad fit for small ankle, bad quality hooks.
A metal hook for laces fell apart after 5 or so uses. Looking at the other rivets, one or two may fail shortly.
The strap across are suited for some one with large ankle. If I do it up tighty, there is very little (if none) velcro contact. So to have velcro contact I then have no ankle support.

Excellent starter shoe/boot
Ok so here is the rundown on this product. For the price it is worth every penny. Very stylish and most don't realize I'm boobosboots, they just like the new shoes. Air flow is amazing. The shoe string that come with are very thin, so I'd recommend replacing them, but I'm still using the ones that came with and no real issues. Heed this warning... I gave this boot a 3 for comfort b/c they are very VERY uncomfortable for the first 3 days while breaking them in due to being very stiff and thin leather. With that being said, after being broken in, they become a 5 in comfort, so I took the middle at 3. The strap is also kind of loose, but it is there... No biggie for me, b/c as the boot breaks in it will expand a bit. For the price, this boot is amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Great shoes, great price
First pair of motorcycle boots and I love them. I wanted something I could wear around and not look like boots. These look like nice shoes wen worn around walking between rides.

Great for a first timer.
I'm a brand new rider that needed to get some gear, and I think these work great. They aren't the most comfortable for walking around in, so if you need to walk more than a couple blocks after parking your bike, you might want to consider something else.
They feel like the offer great protection and make shifting much easier and nicer than just normal street shoes.
