The chicane is about as close to a road racing boot as I would consider for day to day riding. They seem to offer a lot of protection for as low as they are. The fit is comfortable, but seems very secure. I doubt they would come off in a wreck, but hoping to not test that evaluation. The armor around the top of the ankle seems sturdy as well. On top of all this, they aren't too bad to walk around in either.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great looking boots, material seems strong and they are pretty waterproof (tried them in the rain already). However the insoles were pretty cheap, feel apart in less than a week (turned out to be a thin layer of packaging foam) the laces are done up in a weird way and the velcro bit is tiny so its hard to stick them in properly

The style and features of the boot are uncompromised for the price. But the quality of the leather and adhesives used on the boot is boor. I have had the boots for 3 weeks and the sole is separating from the boot, the leather already has a wear hole somehow, the inserts inside the boot fell apart so bad I eneded up just taking them out. They are comfortable after some break in and they look great. I could wear these with jeans for a day of classes no problem. And the protection is great. But the build quality is poor. I am going to buy some shoe goo and adhesives and new inserts and patch them all up hopefully that fixes everything. I would still recommend the boot to someone who doesn't mind fixing things. Cause its hard to beat for the price.

I needed a pair of new boots to replace my old boots, which finally wore out after 3 years. Looked around and decided on the Teknic one after a pretty fair amount of research. Appreciated Revzilla's video review of the boot, so decided to buy a pair.
Needless to say, I'm a new fan. Have worn these to work everyday this week and am very happy with my choice. They are comfortable, look good and have more protection than I thought they would. I was worried about the laces, but they are easy to put on and the strap over them keeps them away from the bike. Temperatures have varied from the upper 30 degrees to nearly 70, and they have been fine with no real heat issues and keeping my feet warm when it was cold. I haven't gotten them wet yet, but I am sure they'll be better than my old boots, which weren't waterproof at all. As it is only a week, I can't comment on the durability, but so far it looks like they'll last for quite a bit. Good job, Revzilla for carrying a great boot at an affordable price.

This is the first real motorcycle boot I ever owned but I must say that they are VERY comfortable! Easy to get on and off, and has a nice style. My friends could not tell it was a motorcycle boot. Haven't had a chance to test the waterproof part, but the breath ability certainly works! I can feel my foot get hot when walking around, but not hot enough to sweat. Great pair of boots! Good quality!

Been testing these for a couple weeks nows, I live in Okinawa Japan and the temp. here doesn't go below 50. So I'm riding everyday it's not raining. The boots so far have exceeded my expectations. I ride several different style bikes from off road enduro, naked sport, and also a HD cruiser, and these boots are actually more comfortable than my cruiser boots and are definetly suited to my high set controls on my ZRX. For the price you can't go wrong with this Teknic Chicane.

Appeared to offer good protection, but too bulky to be considered a riding shoe. Just as well wear a racing boot and be fully protected IMO. The toe is actually wider than in my SMXs and just as stiff to walk in. I sent them back (thanks revzilla), so I did not get a chance to wear them on a ride.

About the Teknic Chicane. My shoe size is a true 9-1/2 US. Would you recommend size 9 or 10? If I purchase the "wrong" size can I exchange them?

Answer:
Typically if you are in-between sizes, you would order the larger size, but if you get a pair out to you that doesn't fit, just give us a call! We've got an easy, no-hassle return/exchange policy that you can view at the link below:

Answer:
I would check the Euro size, I wasn't sure about the US sizing. You can return the shoes with no hassle as long as you don't ride in them. I had to return a pair of riding pants that were to small and it was easy as cake.

Teknic Jacket and Race Suits are European Cut and are more narrow in the arms, chest and shoulders than other brands.  Their leathers are particularly form fitting.  RevZilla recommends ordering Jackets and Suits one size larger than Tekinc size charts suggest.
