TechSpec Snake Skin Tank Pads Yamaha FZ8

The Snake Skin Tank Pads are the “Flagship Product”of the TechSpec line. Each Snake Skin Tank Pad features the most aggressive pattern available, which provides unparalleled grip and increased control. You'll feel the difference right away, as the pads allow you to decrease the pressure on your wrists, elbows and shoulders, improving the relationship between you and your machine! Perfect for any rider hitting the track!

Body position and weight control are essential techniques for all riding styles, not just aggressive riding. By griping the tank with your legs, you will improve overall control of your body motion, position and posture.

  • Bike-specific tailored shape
  • Special adhesive back allows the tank pads to be removed and repositioned if necessary
  • Eliminates sliding
  • Improves riding style
  • Will not damage leather or textile pants
  • Includes both left and right side tank pads
  • Please use care when removing the paper backing from the adhesive so as not to pull the adhesive away from the Tank Pad

Seems Expensive at first.... But well worth it Although they are expensive for just a piece of rubber, they do their job very well. I slid forward especially with a passenger. I also have a Shad seat which helped a ton, but the tank grips made me stick in position like glue! Also I noticed in cold weather the tank would get cold and radiate through my legs and freeze me, the tank-pads have stopped that. Installation was a breeze, I scrubbed the tank with mild soap and water, then dried it, then wiped it down with alcohol and a microfiber cloth and let that air-dry. I tried to keep a .5"- to .75" boarder between the tank-pad and seat / frame. It ended up perfect for placement. Hard to justify buying them until you have them for a week. Then you understand why people have them. They work, and they work well. -B April 29, 2015
