The Snake Skin Tank Pads are the flagship product of the TechSpec line. Each Snake Skin Tank Pad features the most aggressive pattern available, which provides unparalleled grip and increased control. Perfect for any rider hitting the track!

Body position and weight control are essential techniques for all riding styles, not just aggressive riding. By griping the tank with your legs, you will improve overall control of your body motion, position and posture.

  • Special adhesive back allows the tank pads to be removed and repositioned if necessary
  • Eliminates sliding
  • Improves riding style
  • Will not damage leather or textile pants
  • Includes left, right and center tank pads

Note: Please use care when removing the paper backing from the adhesive so as not to pull the adhesive away from the Tank Pad. Installed image for shape and size reference only.

Rough on your pants
I purchased these for my 2014 300. The side pads were easy to apply and once installed, have stayed in place for the last few months. The top pad is another story. It didn't seem to be contoured properly and it still requires that I press edges down from time to time. The side pads grip really well and made an immediate difference in handling. They are rough on my pants. My jeans show wear where they make contact. I live in North Texas and the sides show no signs of lifting or moving on my black tank in numerous 100+ degree days.

Grips rather thick and a little expensive.
Purchased these to keep me from sliding on the tank. Performance wise I think they are great, just not sure about the look on my 300 Ninja as they are considerably more thick than I thought and would look better on a café racer.
I also thought they were a tad expensive.

Does what it's supposed to.
Noticed a more comfortable ride and had less fatigue during my rides. I should have invested into these tank pads when I first started riding. No sliding, no slips, just great grip.

They haven't ruined any pairs of my pants, or jeans.

these are great!
These tank pads make it so much easier to grip the tank! Install was really easy - cleaned area with rubbing alcohol, used heat gun to get the surface temp up to 80ish degrees, then stuck them on. Start slowly - peel back a corner, stick it then as you pull back the adhesive, use the edge of your palm to stick it to the side of the tank. I didn't get any air bubbles. They have been on my bike for the past 6 weeks or so, and no peeling. The kit comes with the two pieces for the edge of the tank and a center tank protector piece. It was alittle too long for my SE model, but I cut it down and it looks very nice.

Great product, but needed a trim for my bike.
The only issue I have is a bike-specific fitment problem.

On my '16 Ninja 300, the side grips were a perfect fit, but the center tank pad was a little annoying. There is an indented area that begins on the lower-mid section of the 300's tank. When I applied the tank pad in the appropriate position, the upper "wings" of the pad had to contour over the edges this indention. The stick of the pad was not quite strong enough to maintain this shape, so the tips of the upper two wings kept curling up. I ended up trimming off the bottom two sections carefully with a sharp pair of scissors, and it fits nicely and does the job, albeit protecting a little smaller area of the tank than I hoped for.

I love the knee-grip the pads provide; they make braking a lot easier on the spine. Excellent performance.

Installation was much easier with the peel-stick-peel-stick adhesive, especially with the center pad, since I ended up having to change the position several times before I was happy with it.

Good grip, but came unglued first day.
I bought this item for my track bike and it has a great feel, east to install, and it definitely helps when hanging from a knee. The only thing is within one day of use one side came unstuck and now its just kind of half hanging on. I used them on the last round of race season but now need to figure out how to get it reglued. A little annoying but if I can work that out it will be a great product.

great product a friend of ny order and happy with it !!!!!!!!

For weight shift to knee down turns being able to grip the tank with the opposite knee is essential. I want to have as little weight on my hands as possible. I practice blipping and slowing for the turn with two fingers covering and pressing the brake. The freedom of my hands is made possible by putting my weight on the balls of my feet and "hanging" onto a sticky tank pad with my knee.

Idk it looks good I guess. I need something to keep me from sliding so much.

Do these fit the 2015 Ninja 300 ABS also?
David D on May 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes they would since the only difference between the Ninja 300 ABS and Ninja 300 Non-abs is that one has abs on the brakes and the other doesn't. The fairings are all the same, including the fuel tank which is what this sticks onto (two for either knee and a strip for your stomach for when you lean forward/get into a tuck to prevent scratches) These are a must if you have clip-ons or after market rear-sets so that you can take as much weight off your wrists, but I can't see them being used to their full potential if everything is stock - unless you really want to grip the tank.
How think are the pads?
A shopper on Aug 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The pads are about 3-4mm thick, but when you compare them to most other tank grips or protectors they are luxuriously thick.
