Heated Grips on Sportbike
So I always thought heated grips were kind of silly, but I have a number of family and friends who have had them and loved them. Of course they all ride heavy cruisers, but a buddy of mine has a BMW S1000RR with heated grips. Last fall we were talking about them and he said he'd never own another bike with out them. So I figured I was game for anything that help extend my riding season and made it more comfortable. Ordering as usual with Revzilla was quick and simple. The only delay I had was the UPS driver wouldn't come down my road because of the snow.
I installed them on my 2009 R6, install took me a couple of hours. I invested in a relay and a few other things so they run on a separate power wire off the battery and automatically shutoff when the bike is turned off. I have ridden in 25 degree temperatures and can not believe how much of a difference they make, I live in MI and have already had the bike out a few times. They warm up pretty quick and with the multiple settings for temperature they are amazingly comfortable.
I am reasonably sure my wife will have me ordering a second set for her SV650S this fall.
