Amazing ! The heated grips is a god send for those who rides in the cold. In my case, it's the commute to work in the 30's F weather. In the low position it does well for me in the ranges of 50+ degrees plus, I use the high settings on everything in the high 40's F and below. It works great and definitely keeps my palm and the underside of my fingers toasty. But don't expect it to be all you'll need to keep your hands and fingers completely warm though. It's a great supplement to winter gloves or some sort of heated gloves/liner. In my Dainese Steel core carbon gloves (in 30 degrees or under) my palms and fingers were warm except for my fingertips and my thumb was freezing (mainly cuz my thumb doesn't really wrap about the grips when I'm riding). But in my Dainese Stelvio gloves, it kept my hands very comfortable). It's also a great investment to have in case you're ever caught out on a warm day (with regular gloves) but later that night it gets cold and you just need that extra warmth to your hands to get you home. Symtec Grips Used with a heat troller these things are the ducks guts. Fully variable heat settings are great, the OEM grips I had on my 12GS was never quite right with only 2 settings it was always a bit too cold or a bit too hot. Take some care fitting them to ensure that the wire connection to the pad is not under tension and they should last ok. March 26, 2012
Easy to install and works very well Quite impressed with these grip heaters. They are extremely warm. Only in sub zero conditions do you need to put them on high. Every bike should come with these. March 5, 2012

Is this kit the same as the http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/symtec-mc-hnd-warmers kit only with the plastic round hi-off-low rocker switch?

Answer:
Yes, that is correct. They are the exact same kit, the only difference being that it comes with the round plastic switch rather than the metal toggle switch.
