Heat Demon Heated Grip Kit with Metal Switch 4.4 5 5 5
Good instructions. Put these on my wife's Bonny. The instructions were pretty easy to follow. The wiring was a little tricky because the switch needs a lot of space behind it to accommodate the connectors. Once on, they heat up nicely.. May 6, 2013
Laborious Install, Great results If you have a period of time to completely dismantle your bike enough to perform a really clean install of this product, like say winter, then this is a great product. The install was almost more than I could chew and required the purchase of an aftermarket rocker switch so that it looked stocked, but let me tell you... there are few things in life as sweet as warm hands when riding a bike in cold weather, and this product definitely delivers on that. Hot Grips Information on Revzilla was complete. The package arrived 2 days ahead of the expected delivery. Instructions were clear about fitting and wiring. Installation was accomplished by following the steps, getting the grips off is always a challenge even with an upgraded air compressor. The grips are nice and toasty for the morning commute. I installed the grips as a back-up to heated gloves, one failed on a trip, since has been replaced by the manufacturer. Warm hands are definitely are better for safety. With these heated grips you don't have to stop to change to heavier gloves the day cools off on a day trip. The high setting is good the get the grips up to temperature and then the lower setting works for keeping maintaining. I would recommend these. A word of advice, before you buy take the grips off and see if you have a knurled surface on the bars, be prepared to grind this down, otherwise it's a piece of cake. November 27, 2012
GREAT HEATED GRIPS! VERY WELL BUILT AND DESIGNED. KEEP MY HANDS NICE AND TOASTY NOW THAT ITS GETTING COLD AT NIGHT. November 5, 2012
Best Grip Warmers Out There These grip warmers are great. They do not use a resistor so when on the low setting they save your electrical system valuable power. These are a must for cold weather riding. October 8, 2012

Answer:
The heated grips will install on any motorcycle that has round handlebars and where you have an ACC wire that you can tap into for power, i.e., a headlight. You would be fine with a V-strom and getting this product.

Answer:
The Heated Demon will does fit most bikes. However, you may have to cut off your original grips if they are glued on making them unusable once you are ready to install the heating elements. You may want to order a set of replacement grips at the same time so you can speed up the installation process.

Answer:
I put these on my FJR1300, the clutch side internal grip diameter is 22mm and 100 mm long. The heat pad wraps round the metal of the handlebar tube, then the grip slides over the top. The heat pad is only about 80mm long and is placed to maximize the heat to the hand. The throttle side is lager and the heat pad fits the same way.

Answer:
Symtec makes these. Part Number 210019MT

See more at:

http://www.symtec-inc.com/External-Handlebar-Warmer-Kit-Motorcycle-MT_p_24.html

Note the Revzilla photo shows both a metal togel switch and a round rocker switch, but the product description specifically says it comes with a METAL switch, and the part number listed by Revzilla is for the metal togel (MT) switch. Symtec lists these as two separate items (part numbers end in MT or RR).

Since you will probably only need one switch, it might be worthwhile clarifying with Revzilla whether the round rocker (RR) switch is available from them, should you prefer it.
