A great helmet
Quality throughout. A well made helmet that is very true to size. Some guys that I ride with tell me that I pay way too much for my helmets but hey, what's your head worth, right?
one of the top three or four brands on the market in my humble opinion.

Great helmet, but with a few flaws
I finally got a chance to ride with this helmet, and for the price I paid, under $200, it is a great value. Here are my only gripes, it is very round, not like my Arai helmets I have had in the past that look more stylish. I realize it is made that way for European specs. I also dislike the lifting mechanism for the front of the helmet, you have to hunt for the pull lever when you have gloves on and the chin spoiler to put it down. It locks in the up position and makes quite a few noises when the clear shiled is up, almost sounds like grinding. The air flow is good, but not great, I have only ridden in the cold, and even with all the vents open you still get some fogging issues. And when you crack the shield open a little, you get some vibration.
For a modular helmet, it is well made, I had an HJC that was very noisy and had a lot of "creaking" in the helmet, it sounded like a 10 year old Chevy, not a new Mercedes. I would recommend this for the price they are now, however, my helmet was manufactured in 2009 and was sent to me as new. But I guess that is why it is $199 and not $499.

RevZilla:We actually find the Suomy D20 to be on the heavier side of the modular helmet spectrum. If you are looking for a lighter modular helmet, we recommend you look at the Schuberth C3, Shoei Neotec and Multitec, or the Nolan N104.Apr 2, 2012
