Must have for the track day or aggresive street rider! I recently purchased a new track bike - 2008 GSXR600. I have the Stomp Grip Tank Pads on my 2007, but didn't realize how important they are until I hit the end of the back strait at PBIR at 160 mph on the new bike. Hard on the front brakes I ended up sliding up on to the tank and almost going over the bars! It's amazing how much more control you have with the tank pads. They take alot of the pressure off of your arms and wrists and help you hang on in the corners. These are a must for the track day rider and the aggresive street rider. July 28, 2014
Amazing Grip, More Corning control Stomp grip pads should be one of the first upgrades you do for your sport bike! They work great, last for ever, and protect you gas tank from scratches. Make sure to use a heat gun or HAIR DRYER for installation. Also, DON'T TOUCH the sticky adhesive as it can cause smudges. July 14, 2014
Great for what I need it for On my commute to work, my work pants slide on the tank easily. This product has help reduce the movement and worked exactly as how i needed it to. I would recommend for anyone with a similar problem. July 8, 2014
product works as described would recommend this product, provides increased grip and control on the bike works especially well under heavy braking normally I would slide forward unto the tank but the stomp grip definitely allows you to grab in with the knees and set yourself on the bike. Awesome product! After getting arm pump more and more frequently, I decided to get the Stomp Grip tank pads to help with keeping my body firmly positioned on the bike and also to help with posture. After installation, which wasn't too difficult (although I did take my time with it to minimize bubbling under the pad), I've noticed a great difference both on the street and at the track. Highly recommend! June 30, 2014
Great Product Excellent product, the only gripe I have is that it is a pain to install. You really have to take your time and don't rush when apply it grips. Using a heat gun really helps. As far as performance goes, I think its awesome. You stick to the bike like glue in any deceleration, and when hanging off you feel more secure. Don't know how I got along without it. June 23, 2014
THIS SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST MOD HANDS DOWN!! By FAR, this should be your first mod that you put onto your sportsbike. It's a night and day difference between having it and not having it. Do you love your precious "jewels"? Then this is for you!! These pads give you excellent grip, and I swear it's like riding a different bike after you have installed them. I was up in the air if I should buy them or not. They seemed a bit pricey, and I read a lot of reviews saying it's difficult to install. The price isn't pricey when it comes to your safety and riding ability. It easily increases your riding ability by giving you a better feel for the bike. It actually makes you feel like you're "one with the bike". I'm just sorry I didn't buy it much sooner. For those of you that REALLY know how to ride, this will help give you more grip so you can really hang. It instill so much more confidence in you while riding, that you will slap yourself for waiting so long before buying it. I know this to be true, I did it! LOL... OK, as far as the installation goes... Yes it is time consuming if you want to do it right, and not have any air bubbles. You really need to line it up correctly, mark your spots with some masking tape, and then begin slowly. Start on one end, and pushing hard with your thumb on every knob. By the time you're done, your thumb will be a little sore but it will all be worth it. It will come out right, it looks cool, and will really enhance your riding experience. I actually consider this to be a safety feature for your bike. By increasing grip, you're becoming a better rider, which makes it much safer for you. Trust me on this, if you like to really ride, and you accelerate fast and brake hard, like to put a little lean into your turns, you can't go wrong with this. Your "jewels" will thank you! A necessity for anyone who likes to get their knee down. Sure it isn't the cheapest thing, but it makes a massive difference. If you like to hit the twisties every chance you get then you need this, in short summary it stops you from slipping into the tank and breaking you *manhood*. It really helps keep you stable when you are leaning low. June 18, 2014

A shopper asked: Does this wrap the front of the tank, protecting the area where the rider's crotch would be? I want it to protect the tank from zipper-wear as well as be grip for my knees. Apr 27, 2014

Tim N: No, for the 07-12 CBR600RR kit there are 4 total pieces. Large top left and right sections and 2 smaller strips that run under the larger sections on each side. They do not wrap around the tank and cover the middle. I would suggest a separate tank protector pad if you are concerned about protecting the finish of your bike from your gear. Apr 27, 2014

Humberto O: No, I bought this grip for the sole purpose of, well gripping.
It sits on the tanks sides, where the riders knees would be.
If you want to protect the tank from the zipper you should search for a tank protector.

Hope this helps

Jason S: No it doesn't wrap completely around where your jacket zipper is located.
There are 4 pieces. 1 on each side of the tank (2 large pieces) and 1 on each side on the side plastic fairing (2 small pieces). You will still need a tank pad.

Vlad K: This pad is located on the both tank's side, so it won't protect the tank from zipper-wear. But you knees grip will increase, so if you seat wright (far from tank), you cann't touch it. Apr 27, 2014

Michael B. G: On the honda cbr600rr you would need to also get something for the center of the tank. I think it looks great on the bike but it doesn't cover the entire tank. Apr 27, 2014
