A shopper asked: Will it remove the stock paint from the tank if I ever need or want to remove it? Jun 3, 2014

John S: That shouldn't be a problem. I've removed a set from a bike without peeling the paint. Why? Because, I got a set that wasn't quite right for a bike while on a trip down to Deals Gap. The grip worked fine, just didn't look right. So, about a year later, I ordered the right one and swapped them out...No problem. Used a little Goo Gone to clean the residual gum before applying the next one. Jun 4, 2014

Jonathon G: I doubt it. They do have some very sticky adhesive on them, but if they pulled your paint off, I would be very surprised. Anyway, once you install them and see how they look and see how they feel during riding, you won't want to remove them. Jun 4, 2014

Adrian S: I would try to peel it off slowly. If the adhesive sticks on the bike, I would use goo gone. It's safe. Just don't put to much on it.. Jun 4, 2014
