Spidi Ergo 05 Textile Jacket

A great return for the only real total bike equipment. Ergo jacket and pants set the standard for extreme bike adventure 4 years ago: it's now time for a revisited and improved version.

The Ergo 05 simply represents the best for bike travellers and adventurers. The jacket is made with Teflon treated Cordura 500 Comfort, with special, high resistant, but softer Toray Tenax inserts under the arms for great comfort even amid the most extreme weather conditions.

There are numerous waterproof pockets, air vents, volume adjustments, reflex areas and the Spidi Step In Clothing system for different climatic conditions thanks to the possible combinations of internal jacket and lining. The new concept, multi pocketed removable quilted lining features anti water intrusion areas, wool neck warmer, aluminium inserts and a pants/lining joint zipper.

The Ergo is also equipped with an exclusive removable inside jacket that can be worn as an independent item when not riding. This top end jacket is equipped with new, exclusive Biomechanic CE protectors to guarantee great comfort while keeping high safety standards, coupled with a 'Warrior series' back protector already in place. The new standard for radical bike travellers is set.

Great jacket. Tons of pockets. Warm and dry.

Just got back from 1700 miles in the rain and 40's and this jacket kept me warm and dry all the way. Loved it. Only con was that the waterproof pocket on the arm isn't really water proof. I think water gets in from the zipper. But all the other water proof pockets really are.
Pros Rugged, Comfortable, Fashionable

I'm 5' 8" 160lb borderline M/ L. Ordered large. Felt tight across the shoulders with arms extended in a ridding position, however sleeves stayed long enough. Added a sweatshirt and FirstGear bibs and fit did not change. Plenty of room to zip all three layers. First ride was 13F 30min commute to work. Stayed warm. Very happy. I think tight shoulders is due to back protector and did not even notice it while ridding.

Answer: 
The jacket comes with shoulder and elbow armor. There is a zip pocket in the back that will accept back protectors of various sizes, but no back protection is included when you buy the jacket.
