Low quality helmets I've had this helmet for just over a year and my main complaint is that there are parts of the helmet falling off after pretty light use. The rubber seal around the face shield is coming off, some of the internal plastic panels pop off when I pick it up. Overall, it just isn't much for quality from a $180 helmet. Other than that it fits well and looks great. It is loud, but I wear ear plugs when I ride so that's not a big deal. Maybe I got a lemon for it to be falling apart after a year of light use, but I'd be cautious of buying one of their products again. August 14, 2015
Great helmet Used to use the Fly Trekker which was an OK helmet but was a little too round for my head and hurt after an hour or so. Padding is better in the SS and shape. Also like how the screen pushes up further so it's completely out of your field of view (not so with the Fly), I think it's a little lighter as well. The fast release strap is great too (when you get bees stuck in your helmet or ants crawling in your ear - yes, that does happen)...getting the helmet off fast is much easier. Also goes on easier - just need to push it in several clicks so it holds firm. August 3, 2015
Face shield is rippled messes with your eyes Here's the issue. Out of the 2 same models I tried of this helmet, the clear face shield and the smoked face shield are rippled giving your vision that "fun house "effect feeling when you look through it. It takes your eyes out of focus and gives you the motion sickness feeling. Kind of like buying a really cheap pair of Chinese reading glasses. Very cheap face shield and based on this I had to return both helmets. Darn shame because the helmet itself is really awesome. Face shield, junk. Can't even ride with it...... July 20, 2015
issues! Received the helmet only a few days after ordering (thanks Revzilla!) but to my surprise, the face shield doesn't close all the way... I wouldn't know how everyone else feels but that is a HUGE turn off for a helmet that is $200 and up. You can get an HJC CL-17 for $60 less and better quality build. Additionally, the screws that hold the visor in place were rusted upon arrival. June 13, 2015
Light helmet for the price range. What you are really buying here is a good shell, a decent liner and little else. It's a good helmet and I would buy another for sure, but it does lack a bit in the following areas. It fogs up a lot. A solvable issue to be sure, but have no illusions, it will fog up, but hey, a little dish soap every once in a while... right? Also, this helmet doesn't vent well. It's passable, but just so. As I stated earlier, though, this helmet has it where it really counts and the shell and liners are where it counts and Speed and Strength delivers on this. June 2, 2015
not good over 60 mph Great for riding into the sun. Terrible on the highway May 11, 2015
Good Dualsport Helmet I ordered a large as I read a couple of reviews saying this helmet is tight. I usually wear a medium. The cheek foams were tight, but now fit nice. If you plan on single tracking or mudding the ventilation is lacking unless you lift the visor. Large goggles like Dragon Alliance NFX will fit. My first brain bucket with a quick release strap, is a nice feature. On and Off with gloves on. Cool graphics. March 22, 2015
SS2500 Solid Speed Helmet This helmet rocks, very light and very comfortable. Great airflow and only a little buffeting at higher speeds. May 4, 2015

Rob E: It was time for a new helmet and by all the reviews on Revzilla this seemed like the best bang for the buck. Apr 21, 2014
Kalin K: the next best helmet is at least a $100 more and that is more than I can afford for a helmet Mar 14, 2014
Christian R: Funky design, good reviews, looks less clunky when compared to the other DS helmets. Jan 1, 2014
Sean C: I ride a dual sport, the look of the helmet fits. The reviews are good and the price is right. Dec 24, 2013

Chris H: Essentially, yes. S&S has a few different features though, like how the windscreen is designed with a lip to decrease airflow from leaking around the windscreen. Nov 12, 2014

Lawrence H asked: My head measures about 22 - 22.125" so I'm not quite a small nor a medium. Any suggestions on what size I should consider, small or medium? Thanks. Jan 10, 2014

Anthony L: The helmet runs slightly smaller than say an HJC or most helmets I have tried. The pads break in nicely though and it will form a pretty "snug" fit. So I would try for the medium. Speed and Strength have good customer so I don't see ot being an issue if you need to exchange. Jan 11, 2014

Lawrence H: Thanks bro! Jan 16, 2014
Steven K: I like my helmet, but I went up a full size as I found the helmet runs smaller than stated size. The shield is great for clarity. You do get weathervaning at higher speeds. Jan 13, 2014

Simon A: I was in between sizes as well so I went for the lager option and it was still snug. I've only used it a few times but the lining pading foam keeps it's shape well so far. Jan 10, 2014

A shopper asked: Can anyone tell me how well this helmet accommodates a scala g9 comms set?
Can the scala be bolted on or does it require the sticker type installation?

WILSON S: Hi, the S&S 2500 helmet its a Little bit thick on the base so i think that you need to use the sticker, I have the Sena smh10 installed on the adhesive base and it works perfectly

Best regards from Colombia

David B: Thanks for the quick answer! Feb 1, 2014
Jerry M: I do not have a com system mounted on my helmet but i can tell you this much, if you are using a boom you should have no problem. A low profile wired mic may not work however due to the vent switch located inside the mouth of the helmet. Best helmet I've ever worn. Takes its time breaking in but give it time, it's well worth it. Feb 1, 2014
