Bottom line: very good value!
Not as quiet or feature laden as my Arai (for my MV Agusta road bike), but it IS actually more bang for the buck, so unless you are buying this for high mileage cross country dual sport where wind noise and aerodynamics could prove troublesome, then I HIGHLY recommend this lid for 80% off-road like I do on my Husky TE449.

Lightweight, high quality, great style
I almost pulled the trigger on the new AFX helmet, then ran across the S&S 2500. I really liked the more rounded high speed look of the helmet. When I found out it was a composite blend at this price, I had to have it.

The helmet is very light and seems like it has a good build quality. Features like the quick connect chin strap, and removable headliner are a real bonus. I had concern, as many do, about the peak on the helmet. I have never used a dual sport style helmet before, always an Arai touring helmet. I can say that they have really put in the work to allow air flow through the peak and it hardly buffers or lifts at speed. Plus, it's great to block the sun when it's setting on evening rides. It looks pretty menacing as well :)

My only two somewhat negative points. The helmet is snug, especially around the cheek pads. They seem to be wearing in though, just a bit tight at first. I ordered a medium, then returned for a large that fits much better. But the cheek pads are still on the snug side. (Revzillas return policy and service is second to none BTW) The only other thing is it is louder in wind noise than my Arai, which is to be expected. Totally livable though. All in all, I am nitpicking at points. The helmet is one of the best deals on the market.

Good Dualsport Helmet
I ordered a large as I read a couple of reviews saying this helmet is tight. I usually wear a medium. The cheek foams were tight, but now fit nice. If you plan on single tracking or mudding the ventilation is lacking unless you lift the visor. Large goggles like Dragon Alliance NFX will fit. My first brain bucket with a quick release strap, is a nice feature. On and Off with gloves on. Cool graphics.

I love this helmet!!!
This helmet is great! My biggest concern when I was ordering this helmet was, how bad is the visor going to catch wind. If you turn your head it catches some wind but that's to be expected. The cut outs on the top of the visor lets a lot of air through, so it's not bad at all. There is some wind noise but its not bad. I love the chin strap. It's one of my favorite things about the helmet. It is very easy to use one handed. I'm not one for graphics on my helmet, so I was a little hesitate to get the helmet based on the pictures but seeing that the black was out of stock I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. The graphics are more suddle then they appear in the pictures. Overall, I am very happy with this helmet.

The Best Helmet you can Buy!
I love this helmet! I've needed a new helmet and this is the one. It looks like it should be in the mid $300 range. Nectar closest dual sport style helmet is almost twice the price. I wear a medium in KBC. I ordered a medium perfect fit. Best review video on the web is definitely at Revzilla. Nice job. 2003 KLR 250 and others.

Awesome !
Helmet looks good and feels great. The airflow is good, the visor catches some wind if you tilt back some, but if you stay in the tuck, well then no worries.

I fit a medium, ordered a medium. Fits great around my head. The cheech pads a little pressing though. Took a little getting used to, but It doesn't bother me anymore, plus it broke in.

Everywhere I go, people are always checking out the helmet.
Thanks to revzilla for super fast shipping.

Great Buy!
Really dig the look of the dual-sport type helmets so I bought this about two weeks ago and it's starting to break in fairly well. Did fit a little snug at first but now that I've put a 100+ miles on my bike wearing the helmet it's starting to feel a lot better.

Design allows for great airflow and keeps my head cool. Has a wide range of sight and the visor's anti-fog feature works flawlessly. Wouldn't mind the addition of a small tab to help open and close the shield but the current design works alright, too.

Only downsides I can find are that it is slightly noisy at speeds over 50 mph and the visor does catch a little wind once in a while but not so bad that it'll whip your neck around. Both of these are to be expected given the nature of design of the helmet.

I'm very happy with the helmet and the outstanding service from Revzilla. Look forward to continue dealing with them in the future!

Great helmet
Long time rider, and usually buy much more expensive full face helmets. But I recently got my first dual sport and wanted a dual sport helmet. The fit and finish is great. Helmet is just great looking too. Looks a lot better in person than in pictures. Easily rivals my $500+ full face helmets in quality, looks, and comfort. Best bang for the buck I've had in a long time. Unbelievably great helmet for the money. Can you tell I like it? Money wise, it is by far the cheapest helmet I have ever bought, but no where near the bottom of the list. Probably the 2nd best helmet I have ever owned (first being an Arai Full Face that cost $670). And shipping was VERY fast. Less than 48 hours after ordering, it was in my hands. Highly recommend it. I should add I don't use this bike or helmet on the freeway though.

Pros: Great look, fits good, comfortable, ratchet strap, shield does not have locking points but does hold open very well when you want more air flow.
Cons: Requires screw driver to change shield, Little on the noisy side.

excellent helmet, but make sure you like race fit because the cheek pads are tight

I have a S&S helmet that I purchased about 3 or 4 years ago and it needs some attention now, I like the quick strap on the helmet and the quality level is good for a $200.00 range helmet.
Roy M on Sep 6, 2015
It was time for a new helmet and by all the reviews on Revzilla this seemed like the best bang for the buck.
Rob E on Apr 21, 2014
the next best helmet is at least a $100 more and that is more than I can afford for a helmet
Kalin K on Mar 14, 2014
Funky design, good reviews, looks less clunky when compared to the other DS helmets.

I ride a dual sport, the look of the helmet fits. The reviews are good and the price is right.

Is this the same helmet as the LS2 MX453?
A shopper on Nov 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Essentially, yes. S&S has a few different features though, like how the windscreen is designed with a lip to decrease airflow from leaking around the windscreen.
Hi all, my head measurement is 55cm or 21.65 inches. Which is in the middle for Size Small. However reading from the reviews, some recommended to go one size up because of the tight fit.

Should I order a size Small or Medium. Thanks in advance?
Dominic T on Oct 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Go with the small. My medium broke in real fast and i thought i almost should have got the small.
Is this a quick strap or D ring? Do I specify on the order or?
A shopper on Jun 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: the one I ordered said quick release but it came with a d-ring...I am not sure how it works I think some have quick release and others have d-ring
My head measures about 22 - 22.125" so I'm not quite a small nor a medium. Any suggestions on what size I should consider, small or medium? Thanks.
407guy on Jan 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The helmet runs slightly smaller than say an HJC or most helmets I have tried. The pads break in nicely though and it will form a pretty "snug" fit. So I would try for the medium. Speed and Strength have good customer so I don't see ot being an issue if you need to exchange.
Does it come with the tinted visor? I read in the description that it only comes with the clear, but in the pictures it has the tinted visor.
Storm B on Oct 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Does not come with tinted visor, only with clear.
Can anyone tell me how well this helmet accommodates a scala g9 comms set?
Can the scala be bolted on or does it require the sticker type installation?
A shopper on Jan 31, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi, the S&S 2500 helmet its a Little bit thick on the base so i think that you need to use the sticker, I have the Sena smh10 installed on the adhesive base and it works perfectly

Best regards from Colombia
Does this helmet reserve space for a comm system such as a SENA?
A C on Jul 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have never personally used one with it. But looking at the Sena system and knowing that I can easily reach through the bottom of the helmet to touch my nose. I think you would have ample room.
Will this be legal on the road in Australia?
A shopper on Aug 20, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes since February 2016 ECE 22-5 is legal in australia please have a look at your state. the law has changed just 2 Month ago
