Poor Quality The drop down visor is extremely thin and vibrates badly if you like to ride with the sun visor down and the face shield up. Air leakage is very noticeable when you turn your head side to side at speed. defective Velcro ,poor quality. April 2, 2016
Great Buy I love this helmet so far. My friends compliment me on the style all the time. The modular design is easy to use, and convenient. The noise isn't too bad. I hardly noticed it on the highway at 70mph. The vents are easy to open and close. I wish the vents were larger, or more of them, but at this price I can't complain. The padding is comfortable, and only took a few days to break in. This helmet seems a tad over-sized on my head compared to other brands. I do have a large square melon, but the helmet shape is a large round oval. There are more sleek designs out there. It's about average in the weight department for modular helmets. The sizing chart was spot on when I measured my head. I also found that the sizing fits me exactly the same as HJC modular helmets for those of you that aren't sure about the sizing chart.. The instructions that come with the helmet depict a nose/mouth insert that doesn't come with this helmet and as far as I can tell is not for sale individually. If you sneeze or cough inside the helmet, it will spray on the inside of the visor as I experienced the first time I used it. Great helmet for money. If you can't afford at $600 modular, this is a great option. March 9, 2016
Sleek style and function for the price I have been using the Helmet for a little while now, and overall I like it, however it could use some improvements. I ride a 2106 Road King. When I bought the helmet, Winter was still around, and I use my windscreen during the winter, to block some wind in the chest area. The stock Road King windscreen is a large flat piece that causes some great disturbance in the wind. What this did was translate to a lot of wind noise in the back of the helmet from the wind buffeting. Once the winter subsided a bit, I took off the screen, and now the only wind noise comes from the drop down visor controls. It looks more of a fitment quality issue than a design flaw. I am certain that if I took the time to fill some of the gaps in the area with some foam padding, the noise might go away. The noise isn't tiring though, and therefor I haven't spent much time trying to fix it, especially since I am about the add a Sena S20 which may create it's own wind noise. I would buy it again, and maybe if there is redesign of the helmet, I will look at picking one up, because other than that, it is a great helmet. P.S. Mine came with a ratcheting strap. Love that. You can do better I have this helmet and have not enjoyed using it. The window accumulates condensation easily and the helmet is on the hot side. Apart of that, the helmet is comfortable but since condensation affects your ability to ride safely, I do not recommend this helmet. April 4, 2016
great safety features 1st S&S helmet purchased, i'm impressed with the safety features December 9, 2015
Great investment The size is perfect and it is exceptionally comfortable. The visor is so large, you can see your speedometer without moving your head down. Only complaint is that visor does not seal completely which contributes to the noise. The helmets air flow was perfect until I got a windshield... But im sure thats a plus on the windshield. One major, one annoying problem The helmet fits well, is comfortable and looks good. However, once you add speakers the helmet becomes a torture device. The speakers are pressed against your ears so tightly that they had to be removed after only a couple minutes. My ears continued to hurt for another 5 minutes as a result. Considering the helmet has recesses for the speakers it is perplexing why S&S would not provide enough room. Neither my speakers nor my ears are over sized so it should not have been a problem sizing the recesses. Wind noise is the second problem. While noisy, the helmet does not buffet the way my last one did so it is a small improvement on a big problem. October 19, 2015
Speed and Strength hit another home run I now have over 1000 miles on this helmet and have riding it in all conditions in the last 3 weeks on my BMW1150gs. I hope this review will be helpful. First is fit. My head is 62cm and slighty oval. HJC and Schuberth are too round for my head. This fits my head perfect as it is just a little bit snug but no pressure points and has a neck wrap under the chin. I tried many module helmets in the 500 dollar and under range and the fit on this was outstanding. Airflow vents work really well and are easy to adjust while riding. Vision with helmet in any position is unrestricted and wide open. I rode in pouring rain and helmet performed wonderfully with no fogging unless I came to a stop, so I would move shield up one notch and problem solved. I have ridden since 1991 and I can honestly say it is the quietest helmet I have owned. Color scheme and styling is a bonus with reflective pin strips. I had a budget set of 500 dollars or less and to be in the 200 dollar range for this helmet was surprising. I adventure ride and never considered module helmets but it is the way to go. You don't have to spend over 500 dollars. My biggest advice. Measure your head and order or try on a least three or four helmets until you find one that fits perfect because that helmet is out there. Having Revzilla means you know they will work with you. I have ordered so much from them and NEVER had an issue. October 19, 2015
