Great Value Helmet
After looking for at a lot of helmets I found this one and it couldn't have hit the nail more squarely on the head for what I was looking for in a helmet. A nice breathable and removable liner, a face shield that is anti-fog, anti-scratch, and optically correct (so much so that unless a bug hits it I forget it's there), a breath deflector, and a ratcheting chin strap. Plus it has a really nice ventilation system, chin skirt, and a shield that seals really nicely to help reduce wind noise and moisture. Also it's nice that you can do it all from put it on, work the vents, and take it off with gloved hands. I don't think you could find another helmet this feature rich for anywhere near as cheap. If you are looking for a quality helmet that won't cost a lot this is the one.

nice solid helmet well built
Very nice helmet. Really like the screw on lens. Tight fit getting it over my ears but really comfortable once its on. Wind deflector kind of a pain but easily removable but nice feature for cooler weather. Overall very pleased with this purchase.

Just what I was looking for
Have not ridden with it yet, still frosty in the morning where I live, so I will update later.
Fit is good, seams tighter to start thean my last helmet but I am sure it will get better the more I wear it.
I like the option for the locking visor since most of my riding will be done at highway speeds I thought that was neccisary.
The only con that I can see possibly haveing so far in just taking it on and off is that I think the removeable chin skirt my come off and get lost. It doesn't seam that locked in.

Great helmet at an affordable price
Prior to this helmet, I was using a Shoei RF1100. I initially bought this as a second helmet, but it has surpassed my expectations and is now my primary helmet.
The love the nose guard on this helmet. Unlike the Shoei, it actually prevents fogging on the visor and directs the air downward.
The airflow on this helmet is great. With the Shoei, air would be directed towards my eyes and would cause discomfort. I haven't noticed any discomfort at all with the SS1300.
The chin strap is one of the best features of this helmet. It's pretty much like a snowboarding strap. I can take on and off this helmet even with gloves on. I can put this helmet on in about 5 seconds, whereas the Shoei would take at least 10 seconds. It's a great feature that I'd like to see on other helmets as well.
The only possible downside to this helmet is the visor positions. I'm used to being able to crack open the visor a tad. This helmet only has two positions - halfway up, and completely up. Slightly annoying, but not a big deal.
The fit and comfort isn't on par with the top helmets like Arai and Shoei, but it's still quite comfortable and snug.
With it's awesome looks and affordable price, you can't go wrong with this helmet. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
