I was wrong with past helmets This helmet is awesome. This helmet is my third full face helmet. I wish I would have bought this earlier. The helmet has excellent ventilation (which helps being I live in Texas) and great field of view. It is a little noisy but no different then most helmets. June 22, 2015
Best helmet for the price ever! You get amazing features, the drop down visor is so much more useful then you can ever think, helps save you from glare no need for carrying spare visors. protection value is where this helmet shines, I high sided, low sides, fell to the side, from a long board face first ,and finally a 50 mph tumble... someone said my head bounced a few times, heck i didn't believe them but scratches on helmet tell otherwise. plus the chin strap makes it easy on and off quick convenient, and great for passenger who don't know how to use the D rink. also has pump to adjust size to fit you perfectly. could use a chin curtain for colder weather but other then that 99% best helmet ever ! Good looking helmet and good price Moved to this helmet because I wanted a less bulky helmet than the Hawk helmet i started with. Got it in the OD/Matte green which no longer seems to be available, and absolutely love it. Switching visors is extremely easy with the lock n load system, and the clear visor is awesome - as is the dark smoke visor that I bought afterwards. Operating the vents with gloves is easy, as is tightening and releasing the chin strap. May 12, 2015
Great! Soon as i put this helmet on, i knew it was the one. No, really. It fit my head WONDERFULLY. Good weight, awesome fit, loved the drop visor and how it almost hits the breath guard. lots of bang for the buck especially for a sub $200 helmet. Looks sleek. Aggressive. Fingerprints arent too visible after touching the helmet. 5/5 Only thing i found is that the colour on the vent (is it metal?) started getting discoloured from black. Not too noticeable, and its the only thing on the helmet that i have to complain about. Otherwise, great beginner helmet. I would recommend this to anyone! June 14, 2015
Sick helmet w/ great features for good price I love this helmet. I moved from an SS2200 and was unsure about going to plastic from composite but I am happy with my choice. The features are great - I love the ratcheted chin strap and the easy open/close air vents. It's a big improvement from the 2200. The graphics are really sick - they're slightly matte, understated and just a little pop of color and design, which matches my bike great. This helmet fits on the snug side, other SS helmets I wear a large and this large is very snug. I upgraded to a mirror shield and I love it. It's easier to change than the older face shields and the field of vision is excellent. Highly recommended, especially at the closeout price!! April 13, 2015
EXACTLY what i was looking for this is my first STREET full face helmet, but have had offroad helmets in the past. first off for the price and features your getting i couldn't ask for a better combo. it had everything i was looking for and was actually cheaper than the helmet i was going to buy. the matte black is really nice but it seems like it scratches really easy. i barely tapped on my car door and it scratched a small dot in it so i feel like i have to keep it in a bubble in order to keep it pristine. but besides that i love the finish especially the graphics which are SUPER reflective when hit with direct light. they don't mention that but i like knowing ill be a little more visible at night. first time out it seemed to have a good amount of wind noise but lately not so much, maybe the order i had the vents open. but i have had a slight problem with fogging on the main face shield when not moving but just flip it and ride for a bit problem solved. the DVD or sun visor is a nice feature when i know ill be riding in the day and night and not have to have two shields. And while i haven't had a problem yet, it feels like it could break if lightly abused. and like other reviewers said the system to change visors is a bit tricky and could be improved it is a little heavier than i expected but i attribute that to the dvd system and air fit system, no big deal really. once im riding i don't notice it. the field of vision is not like im used to, i have to turn my head way more than i had to with my dirt bike helmet. not sure if that's just for all street bike helmets or not. but overall im really happy with this purchase (esp since i got it for only $120) and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice helmet that's low profile while being packed with features. but like with anything esp. safety do your research, make sure it will fit you properly and has everything you need/want. 4th SS1300... Bring on the new graphics! I love this helmet! Me and my wife both have two of these helmets. I recently got the gloss black version. They are fantastic to use with Sena Bluetooth units. Wind noise is quiet, the weight is reasonably light but most importantly it's very, very comfortable. My favorite helmet by far. April 4, 2015
Awesome helmet! Totally worth the price. This helmet fit exactly according to the size chart. It looks awesome and very quiet compared to other helmets I have worn. It has great features, breathes very well and you can see everything. Very stable at highway speeds. March 11, 2015

Nicholas G: I love this helmet it gives me a great line of vision for those people who pull out in front of you cause you don't know how to drive, I wore this for my motorcycle safety course and then for the last 2 months riding my own bike and I love it. If your looking for a good helmet that has all the approvals this would be a great helmet. Jul 10, 2014
Andrew W: Read the reviews watch the video over of the product and think this is what I'd like in a helmet. Though I may not know for sure until it arrives for fitting since it was stated it better fits a normal sized head and I'm sure where I stand on that. However I will give it a try and will keep in mind that I have to break it in and shouldn't expect a perfect fit. May 23, 2014
Gregory W: I am in the Army. I needed a plain matte black helmet to ride to work in while in uniform. May 15, 2014

Eric G asked: I have a 23 1/2 size head, normally use 7 5/8 size hats and use a HJC size Large helmet and I would say I'm more of an round head medium to small front to back wider side to side. Going by chart for his helmet I would pick Large but people say it runs small so should I go XL? Thanks for the help Mar 16, 2014

Neil S: I have a a perfect 22" round head, not oval shape. I purchased a medium, and I tend to purchase on the larger size. The fit was too loose for safety and comfort. I ordered a small, and they sent it so I could compare the two. The small was a bit tight to put on, but once it was on it was snug, not tight.

Order the large because the padding will compress somewhat, as with any helmet padding. When it does, it will fit to your head and your head alone, and kind of become a "custom" fit.

If you get the large and find it to be different, please let me know. Thanks!

Eric G: Thanks for the advice I will try the large first and let you know on the fit. Better to be on the snug side than the loose side. Mar 16, 2014
Curtis T: I can't speak to the sizing of HJC but I am a Medium and wear about the same size ball cap last time I bought a fitted one. but I would say I am more of an oval shaped head than round hope this helps Mar 16, 2014

A shopper asked: Does this helmet have the "dual visor"(built in sunglasses)? Jul 5, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (1)
Chaz B: No, this helmet doesn't have the dual visor feature. You can get different visors (colors) like clear, smoke (like in the picture), and mirrored. Hope this helps. Jul 6, 2014

Amanda C: No. You will need to buy the darker visor and swap out the clear visor the helmet comes with. Jul 5, 2014
