Speed and Strength SS1300 Under the Radar 2.0 Helmet
Bought the helmet because it wasn't to expensive and I really wanted a flat black helmet. At first the helmet was a tight fit but once it got worn in it was perfect and very comfortable.
It's a little loud but that really never bothered me. On the colder days my head never got cold.
The visor is very easy to put on and take off.
I would really recommend this helmet for the price and comfort.

great helmet for the right price
this is the first helmet i bought where i really have no complaints over. This helmet offers great style and fits comfortably on those longer rides. Airflow is great, my head doesn't sweat on those hot days (until i stop moving). probably my favorite thing about this helmet however is the quick strap, easy to put your helmet on and take it off with your gloves still on. This helmet is well worth the money. I am very pleased with this product.

Excellent features at excellent price
This was my first helmet so I don't have much to compare it to but the helmet offers excellent fit and features especially for the price. Fit was excellent and very comfortable and has a pump up cheek cushions for those who like their helmets just a little tighter. Easy to manipulate sun viser and low key high visibility reflective markings do not detract from the matte black look. My only complaint is that the quick release chin strap though very convenient can be slightly uncomfortable depending on your riding posture.

Good Inexpensive helmet
Bought two of these a few years ago, a large and a medium.
I wear a 7 1/4 size fitted cap. The large was a little to roomie and the medium was rather tight (maybe I just have a weird head). After wearing the medium enough I did break it in, however I wish it was a little bit looser.
The chin strap is great and easy to use and adjust. The inside of the helmet seems to be made of quality material and is comfortable. Also the helmet looks awesome.
The air vents are terrible. I don't think the top two do anything, and the chin piece is OK. That is probably my least favorite thing about this helmet. I ride in NC and on hot days the helmet does not keep me cool.
The face shield system is OK. It can be annoying to take off the shield because it does occasionally get stuck.
I did a low side going about 45mph and I hit the ground face first. I had a mild concussion after the accident but this guy did save my life. It did not crack the frame of the helmet or even the lens, I was impressed.
Over all I would say I am happy with this helmet for what I paid (i think around $150) if I had paid the full retail price I might have been more upset.

Chose it over much "better" helmet
Picked up a Scorpion EXO-500 with all the bells and whistles, but the styling was just too cool on this one not to pass up, so I ordered it as well thinking I would have to return it once I got a chance to try it on and compare features.
This helmet was way more comfy, the head-shape fit me much better, I loved the chin-strap, and the styling was just *awesome* and didn't make me look like a bobble-head for once.
The EXO-500 had the drop-down visor that this didn't and a cool air-fit system, but between the two I preferred the Speed and Strength, so I returned the EXO-500.

Good for the price
Maybe I'm too picky or maybe I was expecting too much, either way my review for this helmet is much more negative than other reviews.
Lets start with the pros:
It's affordable, meets DOT and ECE standards, good visibility, doesn't feel heavy, has a chin curtain, has a nice comfortable chin strap, has a breath deflector, and the ear cut out prevents the helmet from crushing your ears.
The shield is easy to remove/replace but not as easy as some of the other helmets which I've tried, it's a little too clumsy. Not something you want to be messing with while on the go with gloves on.
The product description says that the shield is anti-fog. When I received the helmet I went to ride, and when I put on the helmet I couldn't see at all. At first I thought it was gunk from the sticker that was on the outside of it. I wiped down the outside and tried again. Still blurry. I then realized that there was goo covering the entire shield on the inside. If this is their anti-fog formula it's a fail. Perhaps the shield would never fog up but the goo was so thick that I couldn't see anything at all. After cleaning it (dish soap then a light coat of shaving cream) it still fogs up on humid nights at the red lights, but clears up quick when I crack it open.
Also this helmet is loud and starts whistling above 50 mph. Not a big deal since I wear ear plugs but for those of you who don't, this is a loud helmet.
As for style it looks like in the photos but is bulkier than I expected. Not a compact helmet. I'm guessing to pass DOT and ECE requirements they had to put in quite a bit of padding. Considering the price I can't complain too much, and I'm guessing I'll be thankful for all that padding when I go down.
Lastly and on a smaller note, the cut out at the ear (mentioned above) for an aftermarket com system is good for those who use com systems and is good because it doesn't crush your ear. However the unintended side effect is it ends up touching slightly behind your ear which is very uncomfortable. Luckily once you start driving the vibrations numb it out so you forget about it real quick.

great helmet great price
I got this helmet for around 150 on a close out because there replacing it with the ss1600 witch has a rounder shape for fit I think is a mistake to stop making this helmet because the ss1400 is the right shape but doesn't have as many features and the ss1600 doesn't fit everybody but who knows I don't make the helmets what do I know. All in all pay full price get it on a closeout doesn't matter its a bad butt helmet
