Speed and strenght great taste
I love the helmet and style. But there is a lot of wind noise even when you close the vents.

speed and strength under the radar helmet
the speed and strength ss1300, is a really good helmet. the visor is actually fog free as the breath guard helps with that. its got a good seal around the helmet minimal wind noise is always a plus. taking the visor on and off is simple and you don't have to fight to get it back on. the liner really helps manage sweat i don't get sweaty as i have in other helmets.all in all this is a good helmet for the price.

Great fit and style
The helmet has a great price point for what you get. Fits me well even though I have more of an elongated oval head.
The matte black finish is sleek and aggressive. Noise is low and visibility is extremely wide, almost as if the helmet is not there. All of the vents/visor locks are easy to open and close with and without gloves on.
Only con I can find with the helmet is how the chin strap sits against my neck. This is most likely due to the shape of my head, as it is more of a round shaped helmet.
Overall, great helmet, would definitely recommend.
Love the quick release strap.

Good price, good looks, good fit. Meh durability. No ringlock.
This helmet was my first full face and for 150ish price range I am very happy with it. Fitment and looks are awesome. The quick release is very nice. BUT maybe a month or 2 after buying and wearing this one of the small plastic screws fell out and prevents the visor from closing properly. Makes me feel like you get what you pay for. And lastly there's no metal ring to lock the helmet to the bike.

A sweet improvement over my Vega 3/4 face helmet.
Even compared to my 3/4 helmet, it still has great airflow. I was worried about not being able to see my motorcycle's "dashboard" with the chin bar in the way, but it's very easy to nod down for a moment to see it. While turning your head, the wind pressure isn't bad.
Peripheral visibility from side to side is very good, although I still miss the "freedom" of my 3/4 helmet, in terms of visibility. Even so, having the chin bar down there makes me feel much safer. Each of the features included, like the chin flap, Venturi vents, and especially the TAB on the eye-shield for easy lifting and lowering of the shield, seem negligible at first, but make a great difference in usage. That tab is my favorite part.
The BIGGEST problem I have with this helmet is the horribly annoying eye-shield release mechanism, as well as the eye-shield lock. My OWN eye-shield lock DOESN'T keep the shield from flipping up, anymore. At ALL. It's very fragile, and I broke it in seconds. As for the "quick-switch" eye-shield release mechanism, it can be obscenely annoying, and just plain UNNECESSARY. When you get used to it, however, it's not too bad. Actually a little neat.
All in all, this helmet had some unnecessary pains, but for the money I got it for ($130), it was well worth my investment. I won't replace it anytime soon.
Unless I get in a wreck, haha.

This year was helmet replacement time. I popped on down to my local dealer to check out what they had as fit is (in my opinion) THE most important factor when choosing a helmet.
They let me try out an Icon Airmada, which is a TOTALLY BA looking helmet. Unfortunately, it fit me horribly!
This helmet, however, fit me perfectly. Maybe Speed and Strength uses the same shape as HJC (which also fits me well)?
At any rate this helmet has a lot of desirable features. I LOVE the shield mounting system. I've had bad luck with spring dependent shield mechanisms failing. Not so with this. The "thumbscrews" are rock solid and there's no sliding parts to malfunction.
The ratcheting chin strap is a great feature, although it's positioned a bit off for my head shape and digs into my throat.
Noise level is noticeably quieter than my old helmet (HJC CL-16) but could probably be better. (I always wear earplugs.) Then again, how much more are you willing to spend for quiet?

Awesome unique color helmet.
The helmet runs small, please purchase one size bigger. Great graphics and color.
