Speed and Strength SS1300 Rage with the Machine Helmet
get compliments everywhere
This a great helmet, the pictures do not do the graphics justice. quick release strap is great! this is perfect because you don't feel like it is a chore to take off the helmet often if riding in a group that stops a lot or even commuting with several stops. venting is awesome in the summer and in the fall and winter just add the chin curtain and it is really warm even with the vents open. no noise complaints even with a loud exhaust,

Design stands out over other similarly priced helmets
Although a little loud, this helmet shines on all fronts.
Awesome graphics, light, super easy to use chin strap, the visor locks are a breeze to work making visor swapping simple.
If Speed and Strength came out with another amazing graphic SS1300 series helmet, I would be all over that one too.

best looking helmet in a crowd
Bought this for my wife and she absolutely loves it. She wanted a good looking helmet with lots of ventilation and she got a awesome looking helmet with great airflow. You have to see this paint in the sun to truly appreciate this design. The paint has depth and hidden reflections ive never seen before. She has the chin curtain our and says she doesn't even need to open the shield in town. The shield change mechanism is really easy to use and the visor lock is nice. The only drawback found is the visor is either closed, half open, or completely open. There is no small crack for air on this helmer.

Awesome style, good helmet
This is my first fullface helmet and has taken a bit of getting used to. I love the graphics and the style is great. It is a little louder than I thought it would be and the airflow is very minimal but it definitely does its job by keeping out the dust and is good at repelling stones!!! For a first fullface helmet I am pleased.

This Lid does not only looks awesome, it fits great and for the money you can't beat it with a stick. I have had $500 + helmets in the past and still do. This helmet not only looks better than them but is just as if not more comfortable than them. True to fit. Again this helmet looks just as good as it fits and functions. BTW the strap is one of my favorite parts. Don't understand why more companies don't use that kind of strap. On and off with out having to remove gloves... what more can you ask for. Time to retire my other lids, I will be wearing this one all the time.

I love everything about this helmet...from the shape, size, fit, comfort, and noise levels. However, here are my beefs. I wish it came with the tinted visor. I bought the tinted visor from RevZilla, and let me tell you, as easy as they make it look online, lining up those knobs to lock the visor in place was painstakingly difficult. It was very easy to remove, but it crossed my mind to bring it to a shop to get it installed. With all that said, thats my only beef. Next, don't buy this helmet, 'cause I don't want to see you riding next to me copying my style!

Good Helmet, Great Airflow, Slightly Noisy
Wish i would have purchased this helmet before i bought my 300.00 Shoei. is more comfortable and lightweight. also allows better airflow. the quick disconnect strap is great.
highly recommend it. I plan on purchasing the all black one as well.

You get a little more than what you paid for
The finish on this product is excellent. It looks awesome and still retains its shine 4 months after I bought it. It is a little on the heavier side, so long rides are a little tiring without taking it off on a few stops.
The ventilation works fairly well in Texas heat and I could feel the air moving over my head in 90*F+ temperatures and high humidity. The aerodynamics are well designed and I experience very little to no head wobble, even at highway speeds and above, to include head checks. You may notice, however, that once you hit that 100mph+ range, the helmet tends to compress to your face. I'm not sure whether it's a result of the padding, or the vents, but this is a pretty loud helmet. I get a lot of wind noise and occasional whistling, so it clearly, isn't a race helmet, but for short rides, or commutes, it serves its purpose well.
The clear visor it came with held up well and switching to the silver tint was more of a hassle than it should have been. The system is simple to operate, but I may have obtained one that wasn't machined properly as the left side stuck and wouldn't unlock with anything other than what felt like unnecessary force. The silver reflective face shield looks awesome, but clearly (no pun intended) isn't scratch resistant.
The quick release chin strap is by far my favourite feature and can be operated quickly and easily, even with one hand whilst you're riding, if need be.
Overall, I'd highly recommend this helmet as an entry-level lid for a reasonable price and decent quality. The few issues I had were minor and temporary and easy to overlook.
