This helmet was great!! For this helmet you need to make sure what size you are and if you do it will fit you like a charm! August 3, 2015
Love it! I really love the producct, i just cant wait to find a new visor! July 20, 2015
Great helmet for the price You really can't ask for much more for the price. Ordered for my wife and she loves it. July 13, 2015
Great product! Got to us fast and on time, love the easy buckle, not cheap made at all, looks like it will be a very durable helmet. Great price also! July 13, 2015
Excellent for the price First helmet I have purchased so I don't have any comparisons, but the fit of this helmet is awesome. No hot spotting on my forehead, comfort level is great. My only slight complain is that it is easy to knock the fabric by the chin out. Easy enough to push back into place though July 8, 2015
This helmet is great Ihis helmet saved my life with a car and a from the curb i owe to this helmet June 22, 2015
1st Helmet, 2 years and 18k miles It's a pretty good helmet. I've now upgraded, but as my first helmet and at the price, you could do much worse. It's not the quietest but it also isn't the loudest. The aerodynamics are pretty good, not much wind noise around the ears. It is pretty open so you do get plenty of wind noise coming from the bottom of the helmet. There also isn't much noise insulation. This is in comparison to my friend's helmet which is a Vortex and does have some noise insulation but has plenty of noise around the ears due to the fitment of the visor to the helmet. My current main helmet which is a Shoei is much quieter than both of those but the price is 4x higher. I also ride year round. In the summer my flat black helmet does get pretty toasty and while the venting on top isn't that great, the openness on the bottom does keep my face full of air and comfortable. In the winter that works against me completely and freezes my face even with a full balaclava. June 12, 2015
Great First Helmet While this is not my first helmet, it is my first purchased motorcycle helmet. I got another one when I bought my R6 and this helmet is just on another level. To begin with, it fits much more snug than some other larges that I have tried on; it fits like it should. Everything else is at it should be. One thing I noted was that the headphone indentations are a little small and I had to modify my Bluetooth unit to fit, but it is still a little uncomfortable against my ears. All in all, you can't beat the price for the amount of helmet! June 10, 2015

A S asked: Most helmets are made for protection and indeed look bulky. How does this helmet look on a girl? I am 5'6 and skinny, I was wondering if it would make my head look like an alien like my previous bell arrow helmet. Mar 20, 2014

Christopher C: I know exactly what you are talking about. I had an expensive helmet and it was heavy, bulky, and I hated the way it made my head look twice too big for my body. The Speed and Strength SS700 I bought in January is by far my favorite helmet I ever owned. Its light, does not feel bulky, and you can't beat the price for what you get. My favorite feature is that I am able to quickly swap out the clear face-plate with a tinted face-plate I bought separately. Makes it a simple task to switch from day riding to night riding. I do recommend this helmet for purchase. Mar 23, 2014

Anthony V: I love the shape and cut of this helmet, the most stream line and lightest helmet choice of mine to date. I have had a girl wear mine and didn't think anything of it. The padding isn't thick or super stiff, just right for what i like. True to size for me, a little smaller than a hjc of the same size interior wise. All in all I am going to be buying another one when I decide my next paint scheme and I recommend it to you Mar 20, 2014

Jan W asked: I have two questions on this helmet. I am new to riding and am on a budget so I just have some questions about buying my own helmet.

My dad's old full face helmet is marked as XL in size and shows the measurement 62cm by that tag. That helmet fits pretty perfectly so which size would you recommend for me?

I always wear glasses. So if any of you do too how is this helmet with glasses? My glasses are normal sized looking frames, and have plastic frames. So they aren't super bendable but there is some give.

Any help to either or both questions would be great, thank you!

Mohan M: I bought this helmet from Revzilla a while ago just for its graphics. I do wear them now and then but I won't recommend this mainly 'cos you can get better helmets for a bit more, certainly not from Speed and Strength but from other brands. For one thing it is not very comfortable to wear, it lacks adequate airflow, the visor fogs up pretty easily etc etc. I usually wear my AGV helmet (Rossi replica) which I bought from Revzilla and SOL helmet which I bought from a local online store here in India where I live. SOL helmet (Taiwanese brand) is marketed in the US under the brand name GMAX I think, you can get them for about $100. It is very comfortable to wear with glasses and has plenty of air intake/extractor vents and is DOT certified. AGV helmets are very nice but are priced higher. I stay away from Speed and Strength if I were you.

If your dad's XL helmets fits you properly then obviously your size is XL too, right. If you live close by Revzilla showroom or any other showroom then go there and try the helmets out and choose the one that fits you properly

Good luck with the helmet.

chris h: Hi Jan. This is a nice helmet. As far as your size I believe revzilla offers a size guide for this brand and it is pretty much accurate so I would go that route. As far as glasses you will be fine. I wear plastic frame glasses with no problem. The helmet fits snug so they will not jump around. I will highly recommend buying an anti fog shield. The stock one provides excellent vision and is super clear but it will fog up. But if you don't mind the work just take some dawn dish liquid and apply a thin coat to the inside of the shield let it sit for about ten minutes then wipe it with a clean cotton or micro fiber cloth until it's clear. This will keep it from fogging for about 2 weeks. Just an fyi. I recommend this helmet. Jan 13, 2015

Jesse H: Jan, I have this helmet in an L and XL because I like a matching pair for riding partner. First of all I love this helmet. Great bang for buck and under chin clip at sent is way better than old school hoops. The helmet liner is very soft so I recommend the L. XL felt like a good fit for me at first but you really want yr helmet on tight. This helmet is very roomy, plenty room for glasses.

I wear the SS1500 all the time now. It has adjustable pump liner so you can snug it up for highway riding and loosen fit for lighter rides, flip down sunshade visor and only costs a little more. Graphics are a little more "plain" but I find myself reaching for that one every time now.

Felix V: I had this exact helmet. It pretty true to fit. If your an XL in another one of your full face helmet then you should fill comfertable in this helmet at XL. I recommend buying a smoke visor with it , it'll give a pretty sleek look and keep you right at your budget Jan 13, 2015
