Held up very well.
I'm writing this review for a buddy of mine who went down recently. I was behind him on a pretty sharp curve and he went down going over 50mph. He tumbled and flew for at least 100 feet before coming to a stop and this helmet held up perfect minus the face shield flying off. It did its job, thats for sure!

Very Good Investment
SS700 is a great investment. Size fits very true and is a little round. Incredibly quiet at highway speeds with supreme ventilation. The locking mechanism for the face shield feels secure, although it takes practice to swap shields. I purchased the black and grey Top Dead Center graphic with the ss700 gold face shield and it is absolutely beautiful.

I have two very small, personal, opinionated concerns. One- the breath guard doesn't want to stay in place. I removed it to clean the helmet and it doesn't want to stay in place. I just keep it off now. Two- the product didn't come with any stickers or decals. Would love to show my support with such an awesome, beautiful product.

Thank you Speed And Strength for putting love and care into such an awesome helmet.

Great helmet, good looks.
The ss700 Top Dead Center helmet is great. I really like the flying piston logo on the back corner, is goes well with my job as a mechanic. The other rear corner has the speed and strength bull logo. I went ahead and ordered the tinted shield to go with it and it works great. The cheek pads are a little thick and become slightly uncomfortable after a half hour or so, but I've heard that they should form to my face after a while, and replacements of different sizes are available. The quick release chin strap is much easier than messing with "D" rings.

Great deal for the helmet
I've had this helmet for half a year and I like all its features. The quick release is something that every bike should have.

It is a bit noisy but that doesn't matter to me much, I can still hear my keys banging around while I ride on the freeway.

The visor release is horrible when you first try it out. Also the cotton strap on the quick release to hang/lock the helmet got frayed easily.

I would still recommended this bike

Bang for the Buck!
Got this helmet as a cheap spare for night use. Have had it for almost 3 months now. The fit is great! The plastic nose piece is my biggest complaint as it never stays in where it should. Air flow is poor even with all vents wide open.

Pros: Cheap, Style, Quick Connect, Light

Cons: Visor fogs easy, The plastic nose piece fell out the very same day, LOUD, Air Flow

For the price I cant complain at all. Great Helmet for those on a budget.

LOVE THIS HELMET.
Have been riding for 40 years now, been through allot of helmets, this one is a keeper. Bought it as a spare for my wife, but after wearing it a few times on some short rides I fell in love with its simplicity.
It looks cool, it feels like your wearing a half shell, and everything works well on it.
Yes it makes some noise with the visor up ( they all do to some degree ), yes its a cheap helmet but I'm a cheap skate. Do your self a favor and try one, it feels as good as a 300 buck helmet without the cheek pain.

You get what you pay for.
I bought this helmet a few months ago and I loved the style/graphics.

Pros:
For less then a hundred bucks its pretty decent. I like the quick connect chin strap, I like the weight to it and even though it runs kinda slim, the fit wasn't that bad.

Cons:
-Air Flow is terrible! I went five miles down the street to a friends house with all my vents open and I was sweating like a hooker on Sunday when I finally reached my destination.

-My friend and I both bought 2XL sized Speed and Strength helmets, but once we put them side by side and put them on. We noticed that my helmet was significantly smaller, it wouldn't even fit on his head.

-I got caught in the rain one day and my visor fogged up almost immediately.

If you just want to have a cheap helmet for a passenger or helmet to practice riding in, this may be the helmet for you.

In all fairness, this helmet is less then a hundred bucks, you cannot expect to have all the bells and whistles of higher end helmet?

This helmet looks freaking awesome, the colors match my bike perfectly and also i tried one on at a store locally and I liked it bu they didn't have the right color and were too expensive. Keep your prices competitive revzilla and you will surely be in business for a long time.

Thanks!

Most helmets are made for protection and indeed look bulky. How does this helmet look on a girl? I am 5'6 and skinny, I was wondering if it would make my head look like an alien like my previous bell arrow helmet.
A S on Mar 20, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I know exactly what you are talking about. I had an expensive helmet and it was heavy, bulky, and I hated the way it made my head look twice too big for my body. The Speed and Strength SS700 I bought in January is by far my favorite helmet I ever owned. Its light, does not feel bulky, and you can't beat the price for what you get. My favorite feature is that I am able to quickly swap out the clear face-plate with a tinted face-plate I bought separately. Makes it a simple task to switch from day riding to night riding. I do recommend this helmet for purchase.
I have two questions on this helmet. I am new to riding and am on a budget so I just have some questions about buying my own helmet.

My dad's old full face helmet is marked as XL in size and shows the measurement 62cm by that tag. That helmet fits pretty perfectly so which size would you recommend for me?

I always wear glasses. So if any of you do too how is this helmet with glasses? My glasses are normal sized looking frames, and have plastic frames. So they aren't super bendable but there is some give.

Any help to either or both questions would be great, thank you!
Jan W on Jan 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I bought this helmet from Revzilla a while ago just for its graphics. I do wear them now and then but I won't recommend this mainly 'cos you can get better helmets for a bit more, certainly not from Speed and Strength but from other brands. For one thing it is not very comfortable to wear, it lacks adequate airflow, the visor fogs up pretty easily etc etc. I usually wear my AGV helmet (Rossi replica) which I bought from Revzilla and SOL helmet which I bought from a local online store here in India where I live. SOL helmet (Taiwanese brand) is marketed in the US under the brand name GMAX I think, you can get them for about $100. It is very comfortable to wear with glasses and has plenty of air intake/extractor vents and is DOT certified. AGV helmets are very nice but are priced higher. I stay away from Speed and Strength if I were you.

If your dad's XL helmets fits you properly then obviously your size is XL too, right. If you live close by Revzilla showroom or any other showroom then go there and try the helmets out and choose the one that fits you properly

Good luck with the helmet.
