Excellent air flow and comfortable.
Excellent air flow and comfortable. What I like most is the helmet being so visible during the day or night.

Hi -Viz nice looking, but not very good
I purchased the SS2000 helmet from Revzilla because of the combination of Hi-Viz, Snell rating and nice design. Unfortunately, I should have purchased a more reputable helmet brand. The style of the helmet is great. Dont get me wrong, speed and strength products look amazing, but the overall quality of the item is not what I was expecting. For reference I am comparing this helmet, to my backup $90 HJC Cs-r2 which is by far better quality. Also, the SS2000 is extremely loud when compared to my HJC Cs-r2.
I recommend you stay away. SS discontinued this helmet from their site BTW.

Great helmet, just expected better!
Its a great helmet, dont get me wrong. Ive owned mine for several months and it is finally getting that " broke in" feeling. Seems like that took forever and i ride daily. It is a little tight in comparison to a ss1000 model. You may actually want to go up a size??? I love the hi-viz, im seen from a longer distance and i do feel safer. That was the original reason for buying. As far as over all fit and comfort i think i actually prefer the ss1000 especially since the ss2000 is a bit extra. You just never know till you try!

Really nice helmet, hi-viz is great
This is a great helmet for the price, or probably for just about any price. Lots of padding, feels substantial, SNELL approved, washable liner and removable visor. I don't have experience with it in a crash situation or have a ton of knowledge about protective features in general, as I'm kind of a noob, but, for what it's worth, it seems similar to much more expensive ones and doesn't feel cheap or anything. The only part that's a little cheesy is the snap for the visor, which feels a little like if I pulled too hard I could break it, but, hasn't happened yet. Overall I really like it and look forward to wearing it.

A shopper asked:What kind of chin strap does this guy have? I am looking for a ratchet strap in something high viz snell 2010 for around 200 buckaroos. of course the ratchet strap is a luxury item I can do without but my last helmet had it and it was heaven.Aug 9, 2013
Parker M: There is no ratchet strap on this helmet. I did however just barely use the helmet on my last track day where i was ripping around NH Motor Speedway, and i found it was amazing comfort, visibility, people could see me easily, and it's the best helmet I've owned so far (I've had around 8) if you have every tried on an SS1300, they fit the exact same. I decided to go with this one over the 1300 (the one with the ratchet strap) for the over all safety rating of the helmet, and I'm very glad i did. The 1300 will flex, the 2000 is solid; i love it!Sep 11, 2013
