Speed and Strength SS1700 Face Shield 5 5 2 2
Silver speed and strength face shield Great tint and protection. Seems durable. Highly recommended. June 30, 2015
Nice looking shield I bought this shield in the Dark Smoke color to match my Speed and Strength 1700 matte black helmet. I'm happy with this shield because it is both opaque and includes the pin-lock holes. Easy enough to install into the helmet. Just be sure to keep the Lock-and-Load tabs in order when they come off. Mitch W asked: I'm thinking of purchasing either the smoke or silver shield. Sometimes i get stuck at work until after dark and I'm wondering what the visibility is like for riding at night and if I would need to carry a spare shield. Has anyone used these at night? Thanks. Sep 16, 2014

Alejandro C: I have every shield for this helmet...The dark smoke is REALLY dark... I've gotten caught at night with it and have had to ride visor up... The light smoke is more manageable although not as safe at night as a clear shield... During the day they are both amazing at helping maintain a clear view Sep 17, 2014

Jeffery L: I've had no problem using the smoke shield at night, though I don't have experience using it on twisty, dark, country roads when its raining. It might be a hindrance in that situation where visibility is extremely limited. Sep 16, 2014

Brent S: The dark smoke shield is very dark. If you think you will be riding after dark I'd recommend carrying the clear shield with you. Changing shields is very quick and easy on the SS1700. Sep 16, 2014

Lucas C: I had both in the back case. It's like use a car with tinted windows in night. I prefer not to do. For daylight use It's perfect. Sep 16, 2014
