Speed and Strength SS1500 Solid Speed Helmet
great helmet for the price!!!
I love this helmet. Fit was a little small. If your right in the middle of a fit, chose the larger size. Pump system works great. Visor isn't as great as expected, I like just having a smoke shield instead. Overall you can't beat this helmet for the price range!

Convenient design, but small drawbacks
This helmet gets 5 stars in convenience.
-The chinstrap quick-release is amazingly simple and one of the major selling points for me. Be warned it won't fit on most bikes helmet locks. It's sturdy and easy to manipulate even through thick gloves.
-The built-in sun-visor is a great addition when it's sunny, although the spring loaded switch is quite unnecessary.
-The removable silicone breath-blocker is nice.
-It's featherlight and sturdy feeling.
-It's got pump-up cheeks for customizing the fit.
-The vents don't pull in much air, leaving something to be desired in the air flow category.
-The visor is touted as anti-fog, but my visor fogs a little bit when it's chilly on the highway.
-On a cosmetic level, the plain colors are a little boring, although a good canvas if you like to customize with stickers or paint.
-It runs rather small: I recommend trying one on in a brick and mortar store to find your size, then running back to Revzilla to actually buy it.
-It has a bit of wind noise around the neck.
-It's quite slim fitting, snug on the cheeks even without the inflatable cheek pads.
You've gotta nitpick to find anything wrong with this helmet. Lots of features and I'm going to get another one for when I have a passenger with me.

this helmet will give you everything you want and more with a bang for your buck
i just bought this helmet and it cannot be beat for the price.
it is easy to use (as far as the sun visor ) and well everything else the padding is great very comfortable for my head . the down sides for me are there are little pockets right by the ears either for head phones or a Bluetooth device and i feel that it lets a little to much air in but i am sure it will server a purpose for someone out there. A second thing i noticed was the pump in the front dose not do a whole lot still not a big deal though. the last thing is i felt it ran a bit small the med had two points right by my temples that were just to tight so i had to move up a size.
i wouldn't focus on the bad of this helmet its sins are few and easy to deal with a great product all around.

looks good feels great
I have been wearing the SS1500 solid for about 4 months now and i have to say this thing feels great. I tried on many helmets from several different manufacturers and this felt the most comfortable. I REALLY like the quick release chin strap that thing is super easy to use even with gloves on. Now, i wish there was better airflow through the helmet but it is adequate. I rode on a 95 degree day and at stops it was a little warm. The integrated drop down visor is a nice feature but not used very much. For those who have problems fitting in a Bell, Nolan, Icon or HJC due to the round shape, definitely try a Speed And Strength helmet. I hope this review helps and ride safe.

Hard to beat for the price
It is tight when you first get it, but then it "breaks in" fairly quickly and then fits well. It is clearly protective, comfortable and looks good. The face shield doesn't distort your view in any way, the field of view is good. I like the built in visor and it works well. Overall I am happy with it. Especially when you consider the top end helmets are in the $700 - $900 range.
My only complaint is that it is portrayed as being for oval shaped heads (that is why I purchased it). I have an oval shaped head, and it feels just a tad too round still for me.
Here is some information that I have figured out that might be useful for you: There are really only 2 shell sizes. And the sizing is accomplished by different thickness cheek and head pads. The XS, S and M sizes are one shell, the L, XL and XXL are a larger shell size. That is why if you order a medium, you cannot get smaller pads as the shell already has the smallest pads. My advice is if you are between a medium and a large (a 23 inch head), get the large as they both fit exactly the same, but the large has thicker pads making it more comfortable. I found this out by trying on a large in my local store after I already purchased a medium online. Unfortunately by then it was too late to return it, as I had already worn it a couple of times. The medium fits well, it is just that the pads are thinner than in the large, which also would have fit well.

Took this out when it was 80+ out, good airflow, kept my head cool. Drop down visor means no changing out the visor when the sun is in your eyes, the two main problems with this helmet is the vents on the to of the helmet are impossible to operate/find once you put gloves on or even when it is on your head. IMPOSSIBLE. The other helmet I owned was an hjc which had toggle like vents which were much better. The second problem, the sun visor on the hjc is a little better operation. The redeeming factors of this helmet is how quiet it is, I don't get as much wind noise as my hjc did. I can still hear my headphones at 70mph. it also feel lighter.

Good fit and features
As my first helmet I am very happy with it. The size is perfect. The quick release strap is very convenient. The drop down visor is a bonus. It is a bit windy at highway speeds. Overall definitely happy with this purchase and the delivery speed of Revzilla.
