Speed and Strength SS1100 62 Motorsports Helmet
Great helmet that looks great
Great helmet that has great value and is very stylish. Helmet with a mirror shield looks great. Helmet is perfect for a beginner rider and has a good fit just just about everyone.

The only issue is I get a little whistle at high speeds which can get annoying but I'm sure I'll be able to figure something out to stop it. You can't get a better helmet for the money, or even twice the money.

Nice basic helmet
I like this helmet a lot. The fit is kind of small (I usually wear a Medium, but I had to get this in a Large - my head may have grown a bit over the past few years though) but the comfort and style are worth the money. I purchased this as a replacement to my ancient Bell full face that was falling apart and this is a very comparable product.
The cheek pads are kind of tight at first but break in over time, the air flow is very decent and this helmet looks great with the smoke visor. Unfortunately, you have to purchase the smoke visor separately... for another $30 bucks. The quick disconnect strap is also a VERY nice feature. I often forget to fasten my helmet and it is very easy to do with gloves on.
Overall, there are not a lot of features in this helmet (get the SS1300 for more stuff) but the design is the big attraction and it looks great.

Back up protection for cheap.
I needed an inexpensive helmet to get riding again. It'll get the job done, however I was annoyed when I found this EXACT helmet at a local shop for half the price under that locals stores brand name only with a different color scheme.

My first helmet
I purchased this helmet in a packaged deal (motorcycle and gear) when I bought my CBR250R earlier this month. Though in all honesty, I should have purchased it from Revzilla as the price I paid was more than the price here AND I had to wait for it to ship from the dealership. :(
As far as the fit, this is a very comfortable helmet. I'm still waiting to test it on a full ride (will update after I do) due to waiting to complete the MSF Basic rider course in two weeks. But I have worn it during some practice rides and in all honesty, I forgot I was wearing a helmet, it's that comfortable. Light weight, and cool (temperature wise, though the cool "look" factor is appropriate as well)
I chose this helmet after watching the reviews here at Revzilla. For the money (and like I stated, Revzilla has the better price) I feel as though I couldn't go wrong with this as my first helmet.
I would recommend this helmet for anyone who is a beginner and overwhelmed with the vast choices available. As far as more experienced riders, you will obviously have a preference that comes with experience, but my guess this helmet will appeal to that market as well.
Hope this review helps while searching for your first, or next helmet.

decent helmet, great for passenger or temporary use
I purchased the SS1100 as a designated passenger helmet that would see several rides per season. I decided to wear this to grab an general idea for my fellow ZLA shoppers.
Noise: its more louder than usual compared to my ICON Alliance and AGV K3 helmets. I can hear wind and road noise more than usual.
Fit: these run a tad larger in size. If you're stuck in between a Medium and Large, go with the medium. I wear a Large in ICON/AGV/Shoei and I fit the medium perfectly with the SS1100
Design: simple mouth and 2 air vents on the forehead area. It's very basic as expected considering the price point. It does have a taller/bigger breathe deflector. However the clear shield isn't that great for preventing fogging. It flows a ton of air to the point where my eyes feel a bit wind blasted after a 30 minute freeway ride. With the shield and vents closed, there is still air coming into my face from the chin area. With that being said, this wouldn't make a good commuter helmet. I bought the SS1100 for my passenger for local rides in the dry season and this will fulfill those needs no problem.
overall: 4/5. Would be nice to include a chin curtain to help reduce wind entering the lid but most entry level helmets don't include the chin curtain anyways.

This helmet is an awesome bang for the buck. I run this helmet a size smaller than I should and the break in time is obviously longer due to that. Because I bought it a size smaller it applies a little more pressure on my temples but once it is broke it that goes away. The venting is great on this helmet. Keeps me cool even on hot summer days.

This helmet is awesome! Apart from it's appealing graphics it's also light, comfy and decently sound proofed. Also the sizing is accurate.
I had a crash while wearing it, the helmet only got a little scratch on the upper side of the visor, and my head was protected all the time.
This helmet begs to buy it's smoked visor, so go ahead and have the duo like i did.
