Speed Strength SS1000 Run With The Bulls Helmet
Temperate weather helmet
I needed a full face helmet ASAP. Picked up a SS1000 "Fame and Fortune" for $80. Not a bad helemt, but not a great helmet. I am 22 1/4-1/2 and I fit in a small. But the chin bar is fractions away from the ole kisser. Thus, so is the face shield which fogs up really bad while riding. Applied some anti-fog coating which works, but the oils from my humidity or oils in coating causes major streaks in visor warping my field of view. Temps I am riding in are high 20's and low 30's. Leaving work i put my smoke shield on and no issues.
The chin curtain is just a mesh, so that 27 degree air is blasting underneath the chin bar. To clear the shield from the fog I have to open the shield and get blasted even further. No good! Even with my balaclava.
Its not a bad helmet, depending on you head/face shape. Its limits are dependent of your tolerance for cold. I haven't used it in out 105+ degree temps so I have no comment.
Does an adequate job of cutting noise, but I am running a comp baffle on my Kerker equipped 79 KZ650. Not load, but not quite.
I get a bit of head buffeting on highway. In traffic and its not fun. Head feels like a pinball. For quick city runs its fine, commuting forgetaboutit!
I would give this helmet a beginner status. Not bad for the price, but I would shop the closeout section and probably find a better deal. Good luck.

Ok if its not windy.
i bought this helmet mainly to use in night time riding because my old helmet i bought pre-owned and only had a tinted visor. Once I got the helmet and saw the design I decided to use it as my only helmet. The helmet is fine if you are going Highway speeds but when it turns into a windy day and you are traveling on the interstate you feel like your head is a ball getting thrown around. I bought the size large due to my old helmet being a large and it fit snug. Overall ok helmet with a sick paint scheme.

Not a bad helmet, but has some flaws...
I got a few helmets that I wear for different reasons. I got the Fame & Fortune version of this helmet which looks great. The airflow in this helmet is really good, but with that air flow comes more wind noise than my other helmets. Also, I think that spoiler on the back does more harm than good in terms of head movement at higher speeds. At the end of a few hours ride, I can feel my neck griping about all the stabilizing it's had to do with this helmet. I don't get that with the other helmets.

3 days old
I got this helmet on friday. Today is Monday and I laid my bike down and hit my head in the process. Not cool right. Lost traction and went sliding. I am OK a little road rash, and bruised ribs. Helmet took the impact though. Have a head ache a little, but the dr didn't seem to worried about a concussion. SO I will probably be ordering another helmet soon, not what I wanted to do, BUT the helmet did it's job. Otherwise I probably would have been knocked out.
Only CON I had with this helmet is in the 60-80 range my head was jerking around a little.

This is my first Speed and Strength helmet, I purchased it because I own one of their leather jackets and love it, and I am equally pleased with this helmet. It feels lighter than the ICON Airframe I last crashed in and am replacing and my spare Scorpion EXO-700.
Airflow is also superior to both of my other helmets; this is the first time I've owned a helmet and been able to ride without cracking the visor to allow air in when moving.
Another thing I noticed is the vision seems to be wider than on my other helmets, especially when tucked. I don't feel like any part of the helmet is really in my field of vision.
Lastly, the breath guard and fabric wind protector are both helpful as well, which was a feature I wanted in my next helmet. Helmet is a great value for the money, and I personally think the best in it's price range from the experience I have with it so far.

This helmet fit me perfectly. I'm more of a round oval and this was spot on. The only complaint I have is that it is a bit of a hassle to change visors, but other than that the exceeds my expectations.

Good for a beginner
The helmet is light. I took it on a 2 hour ride without the slightest hint of neck pain. When I first bought the helmet, It was a great feel on my head. After breaking it in, it has loosened up a bit. The seal on the visor is excellent, I have been caught in the rain with no leaks anywhere. Noise level is good. The only thing I can really complain about is the air flow. The only good ventilation I get in the helmet is with the visor open.
