Speed and Strength Hard Knock Life Boots
Good protection and great style
I am a big fan of Speed & Strength in general. Most of the gear I own now is S&S. The Hard Knock Life boots look fantastic and run true to size. They have real good air flow and feel solid. They give you a good feel on the toe box, and the shift padding is real nice. The boots feel very comfortable on a sport bike, or on a cruiser.
A few weeks after I purchased the boots I was involved in a lowside accident at around 40 MPH. My left side hit first, so my left foot/boot took more impact than the right. The result was some scuffing and partial detachment of the sole of the heel from the boot (happened on asphalt). This is something that I could actually probably fix myself with just glue, and I would still feel comfortable wearing them. Because of these boots, I had no damage to my feet or ankles. Please wear all your gear.

If you are going to change this shoe anytime soon buy it !!!
This product came to me with some scratches. I figured, i am riding anyway and eventulaly it is not avoidable. So i have accepted it as is, specially i am living now overseas and it is hard to return it back. The shoe later, after maybe 20 times wearing it the BUCKLE WITH ADJUSTABLE STRAP broke off ( See photos); hence the shoe is no longer usable. Not to mention, it is heart at the top, specially when you walk or bend your feet . So to avoid the pain, i need to loosen the laces. Hence; the shoe is not so tight and looking ugly
I definitely do not recommend it as it is very poorly made for riding and not reliable

I dropped my bike and the boot did its job
I have one season with this pair and I like the styling and comfort. For me its holding to gather nicely. Early in the season I had a small miss hap and dropped my bike the bike landed on my foot. If I had not had these boots I might have broken my foot. So for that reason alone i would buy this boot again.

Poorly Glued Sole
When I received the first pair the sole was not glued properly. Revzilla sent a new pair no problem.
I have worn them for about 20-30 rides, mostly to and from work. I don't wear them at work so minimal time actually wearing them, needless to say the sole has started to come loose.
While I do like the boots I would not recommend them for their durability, I don't care to imagine the out come of a rubber side up incident.

First motorcycle boot
Very sturdy and protects the ankles. Looks great on and off the bike. The straps that keep the laces tucked in do what they're supposed to. The left boot tongue sometimes pokes your foot a weird way but you just have to stick your finger in and fix it. At speed they get decent airflow. :)

You get what you pay for
These boots only lasted me a few rides. The glue between the sole and the heel came apart on both boots. The lace is pretty cheap as it broke when I was tightening the laces. It's pretty clunky and not as comfortable to wear all day. They also provide no air flow so my feet get pretty hot. They were great in colder weather though. I won't be buying anything from S&S because of how quickly these boots fell apart.

The boots arrive with no cushioning in the insole. Even after I added a gel insole, the heels still hurt my foot after a couple hours of wear. I have had to take a spare pair of shoes to work to change into as soon as I arrive. Another problem is the buckles on the cross strap. The left buckle makes a nice sharp clicking sound when closing indicating that it is securely closed, and indeed it remains closed. The right boot's buckle, however, doesn't make a click and doesn't stay closed no matter what I do. I've tried pressing hard, wiggling it, adjusting the strap tighter and looser. No good. It just opens up as soon as I flex my ankle.

Good protection but doesn't last long.
Purchased from a local dealer. Rode with the boots to work M-F and in less than a month, the glue between the sole and heel on one boot separated. Has the look of quality, but I'm disappointed. This is the last S&S riding gear I'll buy.
