Shogun Protection Kit Suzuki GSXR600 / GSXR750

Installing a Shogun Protection Kit is a great way to protect your motorcycle investment. Each kit includes matching swingarm spools, bar end sliders and frame sliders. All Shogun slider pucks are CNC-machined out of a shatter-proof, abrasion-resistant and UV resistant polymer. This polymer has been race proven to keep your bike sliding and dispersing energy in the event of a crash. The frame slider and spool pucks feature a press fitted aluminum bushing that reduces the chance of the puck tearing off of its mounting points. Every single Shogun Protection Kits includes high tensile strength and corrosion resistant hardware that puts them ahead of the competition. For kits with off-set brackets, Shogun machines them all from military aircraft grade aluminum with a black anodized finish.

Features:

  • High tensile strength corrosion resistant hardware
  • Great overall protection
  • CNC machined bike specific pucks

Plastic Saver
I just bought my brand new bike when a friend of mine who has been riding for quite a few years advised me to invest in some frame sliders. I was glad I did 2 weeks later when took a spill. No damage to the bike no injury to me outside of a little pride. Shogun saved my plastics and my wallet. The install took a bit of time mainly because I did it at night with minimal light but wasn't difficult at all. If you are thinking about it do yourself a favor and get it. Those who have been riding a while know that anything can happen out there. Spend a little to help protect your bike and save a lot in the event of a potential bad day.

well designed slider kit
Great value kit with bar ends and rear spools, the frame sliders are designed very well and seems very strong. It didn't come with instructions, ended up finding it online.

Not too hard to install. Hopefully it does it's job!
Frame sliders are a touchy subject for moto riders. Some say they work and are worth it, some say they are pointless. Me: I bought them anyway. They are quality products and are known for being the better ones you can buy. I needed the rear spools anyway so I did the whole kit.

Easy to install and a Great deal for the whole kit
I recently bought a new 2015 gsxr 600 and this was a first of many things to add to the bike. Not only is shogun a known and trusted brand when it comes to frame sliders but the fact that these were no cut and easy to install was great. With the right tools it can be said in done in 15 to 30 min. I even made a video on how to install the complete kit on my youtube if you search "tales from the gixx".

This is a great deal for all the basics any motorcycle should have and the kit looks awesome. Comes in anodized black.

Don't think that the day won't come that you accidentally drop your bike in the parking lot or have a low side cause it will happen! Save your bike and a fortune and buy these!

No brainer must have on every bike
It goes without saying that a good set of frame sliders and swing arm spools are the first absolutely essential mod. My one complaint is that the bar ends don't fit the stock 2014 GSX-R clip-ons. Actually the stock Suzuki bar ends do their job well and are engineered to be properly weighted for the steering damper. Anyway, this kit is still well worth the money, even with the useless bar ends.

Preventative measure...
This kit really surprised me with the quality and ease of installation. I had an 06 CBR600RR that I had to remove the motor mount bolts and replace them with longer bolts that go through the sliders and had to cut the fairings. This kit was infinitely easier! Put the brackets together for each side, Mount the slider to the bracket, then just mount it to the frame. Bar ends and other sliders are always an easy install. Hoping I don't have to use them, but confident they'll hold up if I need to.

Over all easy installation.
Everything was easy to install. I just wish they gave us some longer rear bolts for the spools.

cut versus non cut makes a big difference on some bikes and not very much on others. the bracket design for the newer GSXR 600/750 is such that the non cut version is such that the frame still absorbs the brunt of an impact and the bracket/slider wont get pushed or bent into a critical area of the engine, while being a much easier install

I have a 2012 suzuki gsxr 600... will this be a no cut kit???
A shopper on Jun 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this will be a no cut kit. You will need to remove or at least partially remove both left and right fairing to be able to access the frame bolt that you will be replacing for the frame sliders. The other two sliders are immediate access. Looks great on the bike and easy to install. I have it on my 2013 GSXR 600 and I'm happy.
I am looking to purchase the Shogun Protection Kit Suzuki GSXR 600 / GSXR 750 2011-2015 no cut kit for my 2014 GSXR600, how easy is it to install? Can a rookie like myself install these pieces? Thanks.
A shopper on Apr 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am a "rookie" too, very easy.
Does this kit include front and rear swing arm spools?
Jeremiah R on Apr 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It comes with rear spools and bar ends but not front spools.
