Shogun Protection Kit Kawasaki Ninja 300

Installing a Shogun Protection Kit is a great way to protect your motorcycle investment. Each kit includes matching swingarm spools, bar end sliders and frame sliders. All Shogun slider pucks are CNC-machined out of a shatter-proof, abrasion-resistant and UV resistant polymer. This polymer has been race proven to keep your bike sliding and dispersing energy in the event of a crash. The frame slider and spool pucks feature a press fitted aluminum bushing that reduces the chance of the puck tearing off of its mounting points. Every single Shogun Protection Kits includes high tensile strength and corrosion resistant hardware that puts them ahead of the competition. For kits with off-set brackets, Shogun machines them all from military aircraft grade aluminum with a black anodized finish.

Features:

  • High tensile strength corrosion resistant hardware
  • Great overall protection
  • CNC machined bike specific pucks
  • Sold in pairs

Superb kit
Installation took about two hours but this was also my first time taking the fairings off my new motorcycle. If it wasn't for that it would have been a quick 1 hour install. One thing to note is that you do NOT need a floor jack. Simply remove the nuts from the long engine bolts and then take your new bolts and use them to push out the factory ones. After that installation is a breeze. All in all I would highly recommend this kit.

Easy install
New to street bikes I decided to install these myself on the Ninja 300. I ran into a couple hiccups with the bolts but noticed when I didn't use a service stand they slid right in. Other than that, It was very easy to do and I couldn't be happier with quality.

Side note: Make sure you view a Youtube video or download a manual/instructions, it was not provided.

Shogun protection is the first mod u must do
The ninja 300 is my first bike and I had fallen several times, not hard, but I would not imagine how the cowls would look if I had not installed them.

Shogun Protection Kit is a must get item for your bike!
I brought this product for my new 2013 ninja 300! Fairly easy to install. This product is a "no cut" kit on the fairings, but there will be a little cut on the lower part of the bike. no biggie. I use shogun on all my bikes simply because its a great product. You get what you paid for!

Best Sliders
These sliders have done me WELL, especially when I was rear ended. It most definitely saved most of my bike. They are so great, I bought them again when I got a new bike. Definitely worth every penny.

Only thing I would want more would maybe be some instructions. Although, YouTube does a great job of assisting.

Awesome and easy to install.
Looks good, and feels good. I don't know about quality, I haven't tested them yet and hope I never have to. This is the first bike I have owned, and with the instructions it made it easy to take my bike apart, install, and put back together, eventually.

easy install
I bought this kit because I didn't want to cut on the bike's bodywork and it looks like it will be protective. I hope I don't have to try it out. As far as the installation goes, It is pretty easy to install the frame sliders. The kit does not come with instructions so you have to go online for instructions or watch a youtube video showing the install. One problem I had is that I thought the bolts for the pucks were too short. I called Revzilla and spoke to Phillip who I must say is great! He contacted Shogun for me and they explained to him that the pucks have a bushing that need to be pushed in with a socket and rubber mallet. After that, the pucks went on just fine. It would be nice if Shogun included instructions and little tips like that so I didn't have to waste Phillip's time with such a simple fix. I would not have thought that the bushing would need to be pushed in further than it is from factory because you can't tell that is needed without very close inspection. The lack of directions and little tips that would have avoided a phone call to customer service is the only reason I gave it 4 stars which is Shogun's fault because they do not include instructions with their products.

I would suggest them
I bought this kit for my new Ninja 300. I really like the look and having some protection. I would suggest it, however it does not come with any directions at all. I just used Shogun's website, which has it step by step.

Great Product
As a new rider I read everywhere that sliders are a no brainer. I went ahead and bought them before I started riding my Ninja 300 and I am glad I did. I fell down at a stop sign and the sliders took 95% of the damage if they were not there my fairings would've been extremely damaged. This kit is like buying the main frame sliders and getting the spools and bar ends free so it is a great deal. I found the install to be somewhat difficult and had to use the provided instructions with some videos on youtube. I didn't realize that I would be taking apart most of the bike. It took me about 3 hours to install the main sliders. Once I finished and got everything together it looked great and felt very sturdy and durable. I haven't been able to get the bar ends on yet, but the spools were laughably easy to install and took only about 5 minutes. Overall, I am very happy with these and since they have already been tested (unfortunately) I can vouch for the damage protection.

Slider ends Bent with first tip over
Installed on 2013 Ninja 300. Slight cutting is required. Not any better than the sliders half the price. With the first tip-over slider-end bent and cracked my fairiing. Save your money does not provide as much protection as you think.
