Shogun Frame Sliders Yamaha FZ6R 2009-2016
look good, fit good
someone else mentioned it and I'm glad they did; put an old rag or something between the adapter and your oil tank as you tighten it to prevent marring your oil tank. other than that its a sweet product

Sliders that I trust, with one caveat
Got these as I'm a new rider, installed on my 2013 FZ6R
Instructions were meh, but I know my way around a toolbox rather well and found the install easy. Browsed over the instructions before I got the parts but didn't even refer to it during the install. I would suggest using blue locktite on install, don't want the bolts working out as they're attached to the engine.
Look to be nice thick aluminum, should probably hold up well in the event of a drop/slide, but I won't make any promises there.
Look is great, difference vs stock (on team yamaha blue) they don't stand out at all, which I feel is a good thing.
Fitment was great on the right side, but the left isn't as great as I'd hoped. I realize there's not much you can do about it, but the actual aluminum piece is in the way of the fairing by probably 3-4mm, and if you view the pictures you can clearly see it bows the fairing out a tiny bit. There's no further adjustment you can do to resolve this, it both rests on the engine case and the fairing on that side.
Overall, I'm very satisfied. I hope to never test their effectiveness, but in any event, I trust these to protect my frame, as well as the fairings to some degree.

If you have the tools to cut them yourself they are great.
My girlfriend learned to ride on an fz6r so these frame sliders have taken plenty of low speed beating. No problem with the install if you can cut the bolt and the slider to fit. Great for the price but not sure how they would do in a higher speed drop.

Useful on any bike
After my last bike was totaled from a low speed crash, frame sliders were the first thing I did for my new bike. The instructions for these sliders are horrible. But with youtube and google, I installed them in 20-30min.
It is nice to know that my bike will be protected. Highly recommend.

I don't review products much
I don't like to review products because I feel that they are a waste of time but not this time! These frame sliders literally saved me hundreds of dollars already!! A co-worker decided to bump into my bike ad it got knocked over, but thanks to the sliders, the main body was untouched!! the only things got damaged was the; clutch gear lever, edge of the handle bar got a minor scratch (about $7), and a $15 dollar plastic where the air flows through for the radiator, and the left side foot peg. Definitely paid for itself already. I also managed to let it go onto its side at 0 mph and then fell on the other side as I was picking it back up (I admit, I am an idiot for it...ha ha). But when the falls happened because of me, there was NO damage to the bike itself, just a scratch on the frame sliders just like they are meant to have, instead of the bike of course. I have this installed on a '13 Yamaha FZ6-R and is an EASY install. Maybe about 30 minutes total (this includes time to get the tools ready and taking the product out of the packaging).
The only con is that it sticks out somewhat far, but what do you expect if your fairing are sort of far wider than the motor. If it was any shorted it wouldn't really protect the fairings. Just be careful if you're getting off your bike in a really tight space to not hit your knees.

Only just installed but so far so good!!
It was very quick and easy to install. There was no dramas. The product itself looks like in great condition exactly as described. Shipping was fairly quick. Communication with the product team was also great and I appreciated the quick and helpful responses. I haven't given a good rating for performance and durability only because they are still new and I have yet to test them out (hopefully I won't need to). Otherwise I am sure they would be 5/5 in this category.

Saved my bike
I read a lot of reviews and watched many videos before these no cut frame sliders.
It took about 45 minutes for install, and it was all straight forward. Most of the time was invested in removing and putting back the left fairing.
2 weeks after install I was rolling my bike in to my garage. My right foot slipped and the bike was going down, no matter what I did. It landed on its right side.... I haven't been that panicked in so long. When I got the bike turned back up, there was not a scratch on anything, fairing, handle, mirrors. Only a minor indent about a half an inch on the frame slider. I was so released I laughed.
These obviously won't help in a high speed lay down. But at low speed and parked position they are extremely effective and have already saved me hundreds in damage.
The only thing I would change would be the finish of the color. I understand it might not be possible because of the material. Most bikes, including mine, have a gloss finish. These have a matte finish. Only slightly noticeable when up close, but I'm a perfectionist.
