Shogun Frame Sliders Yamaha FZ6R

Shogun sliders are superior to other slider brands by virtue of their construction and material--shatter-proof UHMW infused with UV protective polymer. Shogun sliders absorb kinetic energy from crashes and will not shatter in cold temperature like some types of Delrin or fade in the sun. Each slider has a press fit aluminum bushing (excluding bar ends) to hold it in place during impact to reduce the risk of the slider puck or spool tearing off of the mounting point. Shogun frame slider offsets are CNC machined from the same grade aluminum as military aircraft. Offsets are anodized black to match OEM components. Each offset is manufactured to stringent specifications with ISO 9000 quality control.

Each Shogun Frame Slider comes with high tensile strength corrosion resistant hardware (cheap imitators do not use high grade hardware and will quickly rust). Shogun uses socket head bolts in nearly every kit, allowing for stronger frame slider design in a more compact space. Newer applications of Shogun Frame Sliders make use of a counter sunk design, which distributes the force of impact over a wider area and gives additional strength to the system so that the puck remains attached to the motorcycle.

Designed by racers, sold by racers, for the serious rider!

Sliders that I trust, with one caveat Got these as I'm a new rider, installed on my 2013 FZ6R Instructions were meh, but I know my way around a toolbox rather well and found the install easy. Browsed over the instructions before I got the parts but didn't even refer to it during the install. I would suggest using blue locktite on install, don't want the bolts working out as they're attached to the engine. Look to be nice thick aluminum, should probably hold up well in the event of a drop/slide, but I won't make any promises there. Look is great, difference vs stock (on team yamaha blue) they don't stand out at all, which I feel is a good thing. Fitment was great on the right side, but the left isn't as great as I'd hoped. I realize there's not much you can do about it, but the actual aluminum piece is in the way of the fairing by probably 3-4mm, and if you view the pictures you can clearly see it bows the fairing out a tiny bit. There's no further adjustment you can do to resolve this, it both rests on the engine case and the fairing on that side. Overall, I'm very satisfied. I hope to never test their effectiveness, but in any event, I trust these to protect my frame, as well as the fairings to some degree. November 9, 2015
If you have the tools to cut them yourself they are great. My girlfriend learned to ride on an fz6r so these frame sliders have taken plenty of low speed beating. No problem with the install if you can cut the bolt and the slider to fit. Great for the price but not sure how they would do in a higher speed drop. November 9, 2015
Useful on any bike After my last bike was totaled from a low speed crash, frame sliders were the first thing I did for my new bike. The instructions for these sliders are horrible. But with youtube and google, I installed them in 20-30min. It is nice to know that my bike will be protected. Highly recommend. October 13, 2015
I don't review products much PRO: I don't like to review products because I feel that they are a waste of time but not this time! These frame sliders literally saved me hundreds of dollars already!! A co-worker decided to bump into my bike ad it got knocked over, but thanks to the sliders, the main body was untouched!! the only things got damaged was the; clutch gear lever, edge of the handle bar got a minor scratch (about $7), and a $15 dollar plastic where the air flows through for the radiator, and the left side foot peg. Definitely paid for itself already. I also managed to let it go onto its side at 0 mph and then fell on the other side as I was picking it back up (I admit, I am an idiot for it...ha ha). But when the falls happened because of me, there was NO damage to the bike itself, just a scratch on the frame sliders just like they are meant to have, instead of the bike of course. I have this installed on a '13 Yamaha FZ6-R and is an EASY install. Maybe about 30 minutes total (this includes time to get the tools ready and taking the product out of the packaging). CON: The only con is that it sticks out somewhat far, but what do you expect if your fairing are sort of far wider than the motor. If it was any shorted it wouldn't really protect the fairings. Just be careful if you're getting off your bike in a really tight space to not hit your knees. July 6, 2015
Only just installed but so far so good!! It was very quick and easy to install. There was no dramas. The product itself looks like in great condition exactly as described. Shipping was fairly quick. Communication with the product team was also great and I appreciated the quick and helpful responses. I haven't given a good rating for performance and durability only because they are still new and I have yet to test them out (hopefully I won't need to). Otherwise I am sure they would be 5/5 in this category. June 29, 2015
Saved my bike I read a lot of reviews and watched many videos before these no cut frame sliders. It took about 45 minutes for install, and it was all straight forward. Most of the time was invested in removing and putting back the left fairing. 2 weeks after install I was rolling my bike in to my garage. My right foot slipped and the bike was going down, no matter what I did. It landed on its right side.... I haven't been that panicked in so long. When I got the bike turned back up, there was not a scratch on anything, fairing, handle, mirrors. Only a minor indent about a half an inch on the frame slider. I was so released I laughed. These obviously won't help in a high speed lay down. But at low speed and parked position they are extremely effective and have already saved me hundreds in damage. The only thing I would change would be the finish of the color. I understand it might not be possible because of the material. Most bikes, including mine, have a gloss finish. These have a matte finish. Only slightly noticeable when up close, but I'm a perfectionist. May 6, 2015
Quick and easy No-cut is definitely the way to go for easy install. These are the most highly recommended framesliders amidst my riding friends. Definitely a go-to. April 7, 2015
Shogun No Cuts very good product. you can trust these to absorb the abuse that your frame would have without them. March 3, 2015

Erika R: Friend had the same brand on his GF's 2009 FZ6R, when he went down on our local mini track (Maybe 40 Mph?). The tail plastics/ and peg took a beating, but the damage was much less apocalyptic than I expected. So I put some on my 2013. Jul 4, 2014

Nicolas C: They sure do! Installation is a quick and easy. No need to touch the right side fairing. The left requires removal of 2-3 bolts. Even for an amateur, it shouldn't take more than 30 mins. Apr 26, 2014

A shopper asked: Im a new so sorry for the stupid question but whats the difference cut or no cut? and what is recommend thank you in advance Oct 13, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Eric R: Cut requires you to cut holes in to your fairings, I believe. No cut - you take your fairings off and just mount it to the tank with some heavy duty bolts. Oct 21, 2015
