Shogun Frame Sliders Yamaha FZ6

Shogun sliders are superior to other slider brands by virtue of their construction and material--shatter-proof UHMW infused with UV protective polymer. Shogun sliders absorb kinetic energy from crashes and will not shatter in cold temperature like some types of Delrin or fade in the sun. Each slider has a press fit aluminum bushing (excluding bar ends) to hold it in place during impact to reduce the risk of the slider puck or spool tearing off of the mounting point. Shogun frame slider offsets are CNC machined from the same grade aluminum as military aircraft. Offsets are anodized black to match OEM components. Each offset is manufactured to stringent specifications with ISO 9000 quality control.

Each Shogun Frame Slider comes with high tensile strength corrosion resistant hardware (cheap imitators do not use high grade hardware and will quickly rust). Shogun uses socket head bolts in nearly every kit, allowing for stronger frame slider design in a more compact space. Newer applications of Shogun Frame Sliders make use of a counter sunk design, which distributes the force of impact over a wider area and gives additional strength to the system so that the puck remains attached to the motorcycle.

Designed by racers, sold by racers, for the serious rider!

Sold as a pair

Note: Carbon S5 Frame Sliders include a black anodized T-6061 aluminum end cap.

Good quality, good value The guy who had my bike before put some cheep junk on it. I dropped the bike at a standstill and the junk slider broke to pieces. These replacements look much better. June 1, 2015
Good looking product I bought these for my wife's fz. They were very easy to install with clear instructions. I opted for the carbon fiber which looks great but could be more durable. My wife let her bike fall over while moving it around the garage and while the sliders worked perfectly and are still fully functional the carbon fiber sleeve cracked. May 11, 2015
Protects for garage drops, questionable for high speed slides I bought these for my 2005 FZ6. One slider is longer than the other, which is useful because the clutch housing (I think?) sticks out of the left side of the bike. I had the opportunity to test the slider when I dropped the bike on its left side after coming to a quick stop while practicing panic stops in a parking lot. The slider did a great job of protecting the bike, but the aforementioned clutch housing was only about 2mm from the pavement with the dropped bike resting on the slider. This makes me question how well the slider would protect the clutch housing if I were to low-side the bike at speed. My guess is that the 2mm of clearance would disappear as the slider material wore down and then leave the protruding clutch housing scraping across the pavement. All this being said, I think it's a decent product (especially for the price). I have high confidence in it's ability to protect the right (brake lever) side of the bike, but I somewhat doubt it's ability to protect the left (clutch lever) side of the bike in a longer slide. The sliders were super easy to install and will certainly protect from the "oops" garage or stationary drops that you're bound to have. If you're looking to protect your bike in the event of a serious slide, it may be best to look elsewhere. May 4, 2015
They Saved my bike in a lowside I unfortunately lowsided yesterday going around 25mph onto the right side, and the slider wore down a lot but it sacrificed itself for the bike. The front fairing and rear tail plastics got some scratches but overall only small cosmetic damages. For only $35 it was totally worth it for the pair, and I would absolutely recommend these for anyone with an FZ6. I was wearing the Alpinestars GP PRO gloves during this crash and they held up phenomenally well and completely protected me, I would also highly recommend those gloves. I included the video of my drop and a pic of the worn down slider. November 8, 2014
Good looking sliders The sliders looked very good on my FZ6. The install was extremely easy as well. The sliders were shipped quickly and arrived quickly. October 13, 2014
Good product Haven't needed the sliders yet, but they are well designed. October 13, 2014
Right side slider is a little too short I bought these sliders first thing to go with my new (gently used) FZ6. The materials appear to be high quality, and installation was as easy as removing two existing bolts and mounting the sliders with provided hardware. They looked great and appeared to offer adequate protection, then I set my bike down in a parking lot while walking it into a space. The first part of my bike to contact the ground was the lowermost bolt head on the pickup rotor cover, almost straight down from the slider when the bike is upright. I didn't notice the damage immediately, but soon I found the bike was leaking oil from the pickup rotor seal. Something it wasn't doing before. I don't know how extensive the damage is yet, but If the slider had been only the tiniest bit longer, maybe a quarter of an inch or less, this would have been avoided. Overall, this is a quality product with a minor but important flaw. August 25, 2014
Good quality sliders! Look great and were a breeze to install. I put a dab of lock tight on the threads just in case they decide to wanna work their way out. Haven't needed to use them yet and don't plan to, but they're there in case. March 31, 2014
