Shogun Frame Sliders Suzuki SV 650

Shogun sliders are superior to other slider brands by virtue of their construction and material--shatter-proof UHMW polyethylene infused with UV protective polymer. Shogun sliders absorb kinetic energy from crashes and will not shatter in cold temperature like some types of Delrin or fade in the sun. Each slider has a press fit aluminum bushing (excluding bar ends) to hold it in place during impact to reduce the risk of the slider puck or spool tearing off of the mounting point. Shogun frame slider offsets are CNC machined from the same grade aluminum as military aircraft. Offsets are anodized black to match OEM components. Each offset is manufactured to stringent specifications with ISO 9000 quality control.

Each Shogun Frame Slider comes with high tensile strength corrosion resistant hardware (cheap imitators do not use high grade hardware and will quickly rust). Shogun uses socket head bolts in nearly every kit, allowing for stronger frame slider design in a more compact space. Newer applications of Shogun Frame Sliders make use of a counter sunk design, which distributes the force of impact over a wider area and gives additional strength to the system so that the puck remains attached to the motorcycle.

Great value, poor insturctions and decent fit Bought this product for my 2002 SV650N. The instructions are very poor, but with some common sense and a little research, the install was pretty smooth. The instructions only contain a picture of one side of the bike, luckily, the other side of the bike is the advertisement picture for the product on Revzilla (the left side). The left slider also hits the frame slightly, but I don't see it being a huge problem. Keep in mind that you should be torquing these back down to the manufacturers specifications. For the price, these sliders are pretty perfect. March 15, 2016
Hope I never have to see if they work. Relatively easy to install. It is very important that you do one side at a time for obvious reasons. Make sure you have the torque specs and a torque wrench to install. *The longer slider installs on the left (clutch) side and instructions can be found here in the product description. http://www.moto911.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_12_72&products_id=134&osCsid=8bpe44jke4q1eki79scr06q9b5 November 9, 2015
Cant get tight enough Cant get tight enough, already stripped out some threads on one side... Had to put on a lock washer on left side since the nylon was hitting the frame... Eh... Right sides bolt was a hair shorter than stock, with not much meat for threads... July 27, 2015
Decent sliders, a little shallow on the frame though. Installed these onto my 2002 SV650. Installation was a snap with no modifications to the bike necessary. They don't seem to stick out from the frame very far, maybe just 1.5" which is cosmetically nice but functionally questionable. If i had to guess I would think they will in fact protect from frame damage but they wont save much else. Seems like a good product so far. Unsure how well they will work... but hopefully I will never have to find out. They are on there though, just in case. May 12, 2015
Good product, no instructions. Excellent product. They seem very sturdy, even at the base, and it looks like they would hold up well in a slide. They do not come with install instructions or which point to mount to on the bike. As the ones I received were different lengths, with some specific bolts, I found where they were supposed to go. However, as long as you are making bike-specific parts, it would be excellent to have bike specific installation instrutions or at least generic instructions of some type. Also, one of the images is incorrect for this model. The ones you will recieve will have different length as one mounting point is further recessed than the other, but the ones shown in Revzilla's pictures are not correct for the product delivered.
