Shogun sliders are superior to other slider brands by virtue of their construction and material--shatter-proof UHMW infused with UV protective polymer. Shogun sliders absorb kinetic energy from crashes and will not shatter in cold temperature like some types of Delrin or fade in the sun. Each slider has a press fit aluminum bushing (excluding bar ends) to hold it in place during impact to reduce the risk of the slider puck or spool tearing off of the mounting point. Shogun frame slider offsets are CNC machined from the same grade aluminum as military aircraft. Offsets are anodized black to match OEM components. Each offset is manufactured to stringent specifications with ISO 9000 quality control.
Each Shogun Frame Slider comes with high tensile strength corrosion resistant hardware (cheap imitators do not use high grade hardware and will quickly rust). Shogun uses socket head bolts in nearly every kit, allowing for stronger frame slider design in a more compact space. Newer applications of Shogun Frame Sliders make use of a counter sunk design, which distributes the force of impact over a wider area and gives additional strength to the system so that the puck remains attached to the motorcycle.
Designed by racers, sold by racers, for the serious rider!
Sold as a pair
Note: Carbon S5 Frame Sliders include a black anodized T-6061 aluminum end cap.
This part does not require bodywork modification. All aluminum offsets in the frame sliders are anodized black. The raw finish pictured above is to illustrate and highlight how the specific parts are located when installed.
Well made and easy install.
Made very well, really nice black powdercoat on the brackets. The sliders are a good length and installation was really easy with the quick instructions included. My only complaint is that the right side bracket had a little space around where it grabs the frame. Once it is all tightened to spec, it is not an issue at all. The left side just fit on a bit more snug.
I hope to never test them out!

Nice clean look and bike protection
I went with the Cut sliders as i've heard the no-cuts don't protect the frame as much as they have a possibility of coming off on impact.
Understanding that I had to drill into my fairings to make this product work I was a little reluctant but knew with better protection it's the better investment (also it's much cheaper than the no cuts due to less hardware).
Instructions were mildly clear. What I found useful is having a friend help out. And instead of the punch tool they recommend in the instructions, I went with a laser pointer. placing the bike on a stand to it stands vertical, I used a laser pointer to line up with the frame bolt. From there I placed the fairing back on (clips only no bolts) and marked my spot. I drilled a 1 inch hole then used a dremel to open the hole larger until the slider fit in snug.
Gives my bike a nice clean factory look.

Instructional Video would be nice
I really wish I had taken a video of my install. The instructions that came with it appeared to be thorough with all the pictures but for someone who had never taken their fairings off of that make and model of bike, the tab and frame plug locations weren't as clear as they could have been. I ended up purchasing a plastic repair kit from Plastex that I think will allow me to reattach the frame plug I broke off so I'm sure it will be fine but still ... I'm sure the neighbors didn't need to hear my loud expletives. LOL!!
Overall, these look amazing on my new bike and I hope I never have to find out how good they work ... it's just nice to know that they are there if I do.

Good but no sure if they are gonna bear my bike's weight
The uncut kit is good. It looks discrete on the bike and fits perfectly. I have two observations though: they are hollow which at my judgement translates in less protection. The only way to figure if they are resistant enough is to drop the bike which is a bad idea. I had to buy a bunch of allen keys to install them myself.

Easy installation looks OEM
I purchased the no-cut kit so I didn't have to drill any holes into the body work. Installation was easy although looking up the installation process on Shogun's website was more helpful than the enclosed instructions. Fit was spot on, although I would like to see the retaining tabs on the bracket actually part of it rather than screwed on. Either way the finished installation looks straight out of the factory. The motor did seem like it shifted once you take out one of the engine bolts but the replacement threaded right in. Overall, looks great and seems solid. Let's hope I never have to put it to the test!

William S: Shogun has an excellent reputation and Revzilla's price was better than any I've found. Also, Revzilla's service is outstanding..Jan 28, 2014
cleartalk - a: At the time I purchased these frame sliders they were the only available in the market, I had tip over few times the bike and they have protected it always. I would desire if they were a little more larger, they are short.Jan 16, 2014
Nelson Ariel L: I chose this because I couldn't find in brand Vortex. These were the nearest ones.Nov 19, 2013
nam n: Cut sliders have more protection when it comes to sliding as it won't affect or rip anything off. The only down side is having to drill into your fenders. Secondly - for the price - can't really go wrong!Aug 13, 2013
Omar R asked:what pieces does this come with? like for the side, spool or bar ends?Feb 25, 2014
nam n:These are cut frame sliders. So only comes with the spools and bolts. Instructions are are online for install... i would recommend having a friend help and use a laser pointer to mark the spot you need to drill. Then use a dremel to keep opening the hole large enough for the spool to fit in to give it a clean look.
Jermaine J:It comes with everything needed to install directly to the frame of the bike. These will install on the sides of the bike. They will have drill a small hole through the fairings to install. I took mine to a shop to get them installed since I was having other work done as well.Feb 25, 2014
Only comes with mounting brackets and side spools. They were really easy to put on and they look great. (Make sure u have a torch wrench) Carbon matches perfectly. Looks like part of the bike... Can't recommend them enough..
Will L:It comes with all the hardware u need. Installation is easy. Might want to get some thread locker for extra security, to keep the bolts nice and tight. I have them on my bike and I love them.Feb 25, 2014
