Shogun Frame Sliders Kawasaki Ninja 300

The Shogun Frame Slider features CNC-machined pucks made of a shatter-proof, abrasion-resistant and UV resistant polymer. This polymer has been race proven to keep your bike sliding and dispersing energy in the event of a crash. Each puck is then press fitted with an aluminum bushing to reduce the chance of the puck tearing off of its mounting points. Every single Shogun Frame Sliders kit includes high tensile strength and corrosion resistant hardware that puts them ahead of the competition. For kits with off-set brackets, Shogun machines them all from military aircraft grade aluminum with a black anodized finish.

Shogun Frame Sliders are designed by racers, sold by racers, for the serious rider!

Features:

  • CNC machined bike specific pucks
  • Great frame protection
  • High grade steel bolts
  • Aluminum Inserts
  • Sold in pairs
  • Carbon S5 Sliders include black anodized T-6061 aluminum end caps (applicable models)

These frame sliders look amazing!
I would highly recommend these sliders you everyone! Especially owners of Kawasaki ninja 300's. when I picked up my bike I asked my dealership about frame sliders for my bike and I was told there were none for the 300 unless I wanted to cut fairings. Needless to say that wasn't an option for me, not on a brand new bike! While shopping on here I stumbled across the Shogun frame sliders, after reading the installation I purchased them right away as there was little in the way of fairing modification to be done. I can't comment on the ease of installation as being a brand new bike we took it to the dealer to install, the whole idea of releasing the engine from the mounts didn't appeal to us. But they had them installed in less than two hours. In short yes buy this product, it's well worth the money.

No cutting required, great product
I got the sliders and they seemed to be really nice and I installed the bars that go beneath the fairings without a problem. I would recommend googling "How to install shogun frame sliders on a ninja 300". She shows you all the steps including how to take the fairings off and it is a good video. When I was ready to put the pucks in, the bolts were too short. I called customer service thinking I had too short bolts but actually it was that a bushing hadn't been pressed properly. He gave me instructions on how to do it and now they fit great. If you get these and you can't attach the pucks to the bars, get the biggest sized socket you can fit in the top of the slider and just tap it down with a hammer. They seem to be great quality and I would recommend them. Just make sure to look up the video, it is very helpful.

nice no-cut sliders, easy install
Taking the fairings on and off is the most laborious part of the install. Installing the sliders was fairly straightforward. The left puck/slider had a space between the two inserts, causing the bolt to be unable to reach the bar it screws into. Had to tap the insert down with an extension piece and hammer as advised by Shogun. Worked great.

Great product. Easier to install than one would think.
I had a blast installing these. I'm not very mechanically inclined so working on the engine is a no no for me so doing something where I can tear the bike apart and use tools without fear of screwing up my ride too bad was awesome. Just make sure you have a stand and a jack. Also find a diagram online of where the plastic grommets are that hold the fairings on so you don't break them. The ones right under the back of the seat are very fragile. Other than that. Have fun with them.

Awesome bike protection
I bought these slider to protect my bike. I dropped my bike, luckily it only left me with small scratches along the bottom of the frame. After doing this I immediately went and purchased this for my bike.

It pays for itself
Since I and a group of friends bought this product, we have used, or rather the product had to be used. I attest that it works, we have avoided physical injuries and futher damage to our bikes, at least the mechanical part, obviously it couldnt protect everyhing, but the advantage of any aesthetic damage is that its easier to repair than mechanical damage. Certainly ill always recommend to friends, family or any other biker to spend on this product.

Shogun frame sliders for Ninja 300 look great when mounted on bike
Overall, the frame sliders look great on the bike. They are a bit pricy but was willing to pay for quality product which they are. They were out of stock for a little while, but I'm glad I was notified when they were available. Can't beat the free shipping, no tax, price match, and 1 day delivery! The only other feedback I would give is that there were no instructions on installation, so I had to YouTube on how to install. Overall, great product and definitely recommend.

Excellent

I'm a noob at riding. I want to push the bike and myself, but I want to protect the fairings as much as I can for looks and resale value. I bought the Shoguns, cuz of the no-cut positioning of the pucks. You do have to shave a bit of plastic, but it's a fairly hidden part, so no big deal. The screw that mounts the long puck was too short in my kit, but the there's a spacer in the puck that you can tap in with a hammer and a long rod. A few small whacks and I was gtg.

is this the cut version or no cut ? thanks a LOT
A shopper on Jun 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This is the no cut version in the sense that you don't need to do anything to your fairings. However, you will need to notch the sprocket cover. Easily accomplished with a dremel tool.
Will these work with the 2014 Ninja 300 ABS version, specifically the fact that it has ABS because i have heard mixed things regarding the brake line?

Thanks!
Austin R on Jun 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely. I installed them on my 2013 Ninja 300 ABS without a hitch. Just make sure you have an engine mount to keep the engine in place when you're installing them, otherwise you'll have an interesting time.
I want to understand, I have to buy a right and left side frame slider by Shogun for my Ninja 300?
A C on Sep 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have a 2014 ninja 300 with abs and i love it. Takes a little work to install but it basically add more strength to the frame too. Best sliders for a ninja 300
I recently purchased and installed this product, however, the rear threaded rod snapped (99-HR-TH3/8-16 x6 11/16-R), due to, what I'm guessing, was a torque wrench malfunction. I'd like to order a replacement rod, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that.

Who should I be ordering the replacement part from and how should I accomplish that?
A shopper on May 20, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I think it is possible to order another room at the manufacturer.

By cons, you can go to a specialist in the bolts with your store room. I am sure they will find a replacement.
Hi,
I just purchased a z300 looking for some frame sliders
I'm wondering if these ninja300 ones will fit on the z300.
And would there be modification of any sort required?
Kind Regards,
A shopper on Aug 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes they are real nice! You will need to cut the fender flares so I would recommend taking it to a good shop to get them done!
