Better fit Went from 35mm to this 31mm, made the difference I needed to not feel so tight in the cheeks April 7, 2015
Extra cheek pads should be included Like many many others have ranted about, these should already be included given the price of the helmet. But also a good majority seem to agree the 35mm stock pads are just too tight. Granted I was able to manage the tight fit with the stock pads for an hour or two, I wasn't able to communicate easily with a BT intercom. Now with the smaller 31mm pads, the fit is just right and communication is much easier on my cheeks. February 2, 2015
Just what I needed for the perfect fit The Neotec was a bit tight even after being broken in with the stock pad thickness. These replacements made a huge difference to overall comfort. I still feel at the price of the Neotec these pads should be included for free. Overall I couldn't be more pleased with the additional comfort January 5, 2015
Good, but way overpriced The standard 35mm inserts that came with the Neotec Borealis were too tight and uncomfortable after 15 minutes or so. The 31mm fit me much better. Just got back from a ride where I wore the helmet with the new inserts for almost 4 hours straight and never had a problem. Shoei should include all sizes of the inserts for free, given what they charge for the helmet, hence the poor bang for the buck rating. I will definitely consider other brands when looking for my next helmet because I feel Shoei is just being too greedy. November 2, 2014
Was perfect for me I was a bit ticked off that I had to buy this. A helmet that cost this much should include this option as everyone's head is shaped differently but having said that these thinner cheek pads made my helmet much more comfortable. The stock cheek pads squeezes my cheeks together to much and with theses slimmer ones installed its like a different helmet now. Almost a custom fit. If you have that squeezed cheek feeling, these are for you. October 20, 2014
Does what it is supposed to but spendy These thinner cheek pads do exactly what their supposed to do. they dial in the fit of the neotec perfectly for me. They are simple to install. man are they expensive for a couple of pieces of foam and fabric. If you need em, you need em... October 20, 2014
Excellent choice The 35mm cheek pads that came with my Shoei Neotec helmet really pressed my cheeks hard , hurting my face before an hour. The replacement with 31mm pads was easy , now my helmet is comfortable and can wear it for hours. September 9, 2014
Made a big difference. Helmet was a little tight until I installed these check pads. Made the helmet a perfect fit. August 18, 2014

The associate that I reached at Revzilla helped me determine that the XL helmet was probably the right size, and that the thinner cheek pads were the answer. Jul 15, 2014

A shopper asked: Looking to buy a Medium size Shoei Multitech helmet for my wife. Will buying 41mm cheek pads make it a small size helmet? Mar 26, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Mark W: I found that the helmet fit the top of my head very well but was tight on my cheeks so I got thinner cheek pads. Getting thicker cheek pads will only make the helmet tighter on your face. It will not change the way it fits the top of your head. Mar 26, 2015

K Tristan M: No. While the XS, S, and M all share the same shell, the EPS liner is different for each size. The cheek pads address the issue of having a helmet that fits your head but is either loose around you face or squeezes it too tighly - they won't change a helmet into a different size. If the size M fits her around the forehead but is too loose at the cheek and jaw, larger cheek pads will tighten it; if too tight, you'd want pads thinner than stock (stock are 35mm for size M).

Where are you getting 41mm pads? I only know 31mm, 35mm, and 39mm to be available.
