Shoei Neotec Cheekpads
Fine tune the fit!
I wear the Neotec XL. I used the standard liner for many thousands of miles but never felt the fit was just right. So, first I changed the main liner to the thicker option and immediately, the helmet fit my head perfectly but the standard cheek pads still felt too tight. So then, I ordered the thinner cheek pads and after trying them I am now completely satisfied with the fit. Wish I had done the fitting earlier but by mail order, the process is a bit of a hassle and I do not have access to any local dealers with spare padding to fine tune the fit. Great part is that Shoei does make the various pads to get the perfect fit.

New helmet was a little tight on my jaw. The adjustability of the smaller pieces worked great.

Great for fine tuning helmet fit
Used the 31 to replace stock 35 in XL to prevent the gramma " cheek squeeze" syndrome. Unless you have oval head, this is a great fix!

The 31mm pads made all the difference in comfort.
The 31mm pads to replace the 35mm that came stock with my Shoei Neotec made a huge difference in comfort. Really noticeable when on an all day ride.
My wishful thinking is that Shoei would include both sizes with the helmet purchase. It's a pricy helmet to begin with, and having the cheek pad size options right out of the box would raise my appreciation level considerably.

If you have a Shoei helmet and a fat face like me, then you can get less padded cheekpads and have a more comfortable helmet to protect your noggin. These cost more than they probably should, but if they make your $600 helmet fit better then it's money well spent.

Must have for big cheeks
Based on my head measurement, a large was the right size in a Shoei Neotec. But when I I tried the helmet on for the first time, it was literally painful to pull it on. Bought the smaller cheekpads, and my fat face is still a little smushed, but entirely bearable now. I think once they break in a bit, the fit will be even better. Only wish you could choose between the sizes before buying, or both were included. Bummer to pay more after shelling out for a $600 helmet

Solved the problem
The Neotech was really squeezing my cheeks but these smaller cheek pads solved the problem. And, as usual, RevZilla shipped them on time.

Tuning The Fit
I like to make sure my helmets fit "just right" which for me usually means swapping out the cheek pads for ones a tad thicker. This is easily done on the Shoei helmets and takes just a few seconds. It's nice to be able to customize the fit of your helmet for long distance comfort and safety so affordably.
