An aggressive tread pattern provides excellent wet and dry weather adhesion and the compound resists tearing while riding off road. 4-ply Nylon construction. All sizes are designed for front or rear fitment.

Actually better on and off road for my Vstrom than the Tourances but after 2000mi it is showing about half the tread gone. But for the price it works out that you get better traction for the same amount spent.

I roll on these on my R1150GS. I live in Zambia and do a fair amount of gravel and sand in addition to high speed tarmac. These tires have done well for me and I like them better than the Anakees that they replaced, especially off road. I have ridden on sustained high speed trips in Namibia in high temperatures and see no signs of tread separation. I would have to give the nod to Anakees on wet tarmac but the Shinkos outperform in all other respects. I don't track my mileage - I just buy new tires when I need them. So far, though, the Shinkos seem comparable even though the rubber feels a bit on the soft side. My next set will be Shinkos and at this price it's a no-brainer for me.
