Shinko 011 Verge Rear Tires
All around great tire, regardless of the price
I've put 2500 miles on these so far on my 2002 Honda 919 and they barely look worn, not bad for a 480lb, 900cc sport bike. These tires have performed well in all conditions, wet or dry and below freezing to above 100 degrees F. I've yet to test them on the track, however. They don't feel nearly as grippy as the Dunlop Q2/Q3s I had on my CBR600F4i, but it's hard to compare as that was an entirely different bike. All in all, when these tires eventually wear out I'll most likely be buying another set provided I like how they feel on the track. I bought these because I was on a budget and couldn't swing $300 for michelins or dunlops, but I've been more than impressed.
One thing to note is they had a thin flap extra rubber from the molding on the bead when they were new and the shop installed them that way, causing my tire to leak randomly. This was on the front tire, and I think it was an isolated incident since it didn't happen to the rear. It was also the shops fault for not removing the excess rubber, but I just thought I'd make it clear that this happened. Since the tire was reinstalled it's had no issue.

This replaces the Michelin Pilot Roads which I've used for years. (Over 100K miles) My second Shinko Verge.
Equal to the PR in every way except price.

Fitted on a MY2008 Ducati 848,
- quite soft compound (despite marked as a sport touring tire), - it gets heated up fast in city commuting (which gives some extra confidence to the rider)
- showed a stable behavior at highway speeds ( @ 250 km/hr)
- lasted one full day in track (56 laps / intermediate group)
great tires at an affordable price tag.. totally recommended

Great, reliable grip
These are a step down from my Michelin power pilot road 3s, but If you're on a budget, these will give you by far the best bang for your buck. These single compound tires nicely grip the roads through corners, I rubbed off the chicken strips in just a couple of days with them. I think my next set of tires will be the dual compound verge 2x shinkos.

Product has insane grip
Tire is excellent for an aggresive day to day riding, dragstrip, and track days. Ive been riding on this tire for 2 months now and i ride everyday. I just started flattening out.

Like the front tire I am happy with this purchase. Better than oem handling. Should last. I only have about 100 miles on it but it is fine.

Great sticky tire...can't beat the price either
initially bought this tire because of the price and the guy at the tire store recommended it...I am definitely impressed...daily commute, drag strip, and twisties. I haven't been easy on it but its holding up good....not the greatest in a torrential downpour but its a great tire overall...definitely worth a shot

Best tire you will buy.
I have tried high end tires from every brand on my sport bikes except for Shinko because of the horror stories I'm sure you have heard from years ago. Let me say that since then Shinko has completely turned around with this tire. The grip is absolutely the stickiest I have found using every inch of the rubber from edge to edge. I commute on it but my travel takes me on twisting mountain roads every day to drag the pegs on my SV-650S, with already 700 miles and no sign of any wear. For the price, give Shinko a shot. You will not be disappointed.
