Shark Speed-R Avenger Helmet
I'm new to riding, and was borrowing a friends helmet until I bought the Shark Speed-R. It's much lighter, more stable (I ride a naked 99 SV650), quieter, and the integrated sun visor is great! However, the only issue that I have had is that the pin that clips into the sun visor popped out...doesn't seem like it "seats" very well...at least in mine. I'm contacting RevZilla/Shark to see what they can do about it. I'm sure it won't be a problem to get a replacement part because they both have great customer service. Would definitely recommend this helmet to a friend.

Well worth the money. Shark to me just has a special kind of look to them that I couldn't find in any other manufacturer. They always have appealing designs that are bold without being cheesy like so many other helmets. The internal sun visor is an excellent feature, and the chin shape/design is perfect for mounting a go pro with a flat adhesive mount.
If I had to find a fault with it, I'd echo other reviews and say that the latch for opening the visor is a little small when using gloves, but it's not a huge issue by any means.
Overall, well worth the money and I'm glad I bought it!

Great helmet for the price
In light of other comments, I won't embellish on this helmet's features which abound. Instead, I'll address the common complaint I see in many reviews, the visor locking flange. Other reviewers are spot on, the visor is nearly impossible to open with gloves on. Hence the fix. I sorted through my box of plastic bits and bobs, and chose a part from an old helmet, filed the surface of the plastic part and epoxied it to the visor locking flange. After the epoxy dried I drilled two small holes through the visor and into the new plastic part, and installed eye glass screws to provide additional sheer strength. Shazam, opening and closing the visor couldn't be easier, even with my winter gloves. On to the other "complaint" concerning the cheek pads. Be patient until they break in (300 miles in my case), or lose weight. The service at Revzilla is fantastic. I ordered after their closing time Tuesday evening and received my helmet Thursday morning, just in time for a great winter ride. So refreshing to be treated like someone who's parting with a chunk of hard earned cash. Great company, wouldn't shop anywhere else, even for a lower price.

Coming from a Simpson, this helmet immediately shines! Lighter, quieter and, dare I say, better looking! Air flow is good though PLEASE be sure to gently tighten the ends of the windshield so that it doesn't immediately flap down when you reach anything above 10 mph! It was annoying me until I realized that there was more in the box.... a tiny allen wrench that does the job beautifully. On these hot summer days down here in Argentina I can now ride at 50 mph+ with a decent breeze coming in. The drop down visor is good but not great - even a little darker would be better -- and so I wear a nice light pair of Maui Jims underneath and all's well in the brightest sunlight. I've put more than 500 miles on it now and I'm loving it more every ride!

Premium helmet. Good B4T$
This is a very (very) well built, high-end helmet. Holding the helmet in my hands, the build quality feels every-bit premium as claimed; including the face shield.
I'm happy with the fit except for the cushion-y cheek pads that press up against the cheeks. But, it is something you may get used to after a few hours of wearing the helmet.
This is also a pretty quiet helmet that renders a fairly wide peripheral view.
If your budget is within the $400 range, this is the best option out there in my opinion.

Cool helmet with a bunch of stuff included
I really like this helmet especially as it already comes with a pinlock visor as well as tinted sunnies that drop down, saved me having to buy a tinted visor for it, and the chin guard. The sunnies are decent though there is a slight gap on the bottom. I find it quieter and lighter than my old helmet too.
The visor has a lock, which some people might find a pain but I don't have any issue with my gloves.
The padding inside is comfortable and this helmet doesn't squish my ponytail uncomfortably against my neck which is nice as it comes up slightly higher at the back than my old one.
The only thing I did not like is that I couldn't get a pink one, only boring colours like black, grey or white.

love my helmet
The fit, comfort, and style is absolutely fantastic. The wide view is a dramatic improvement from my old helmet. The only issue I have with the helmet is that the wind noise gets pretty loud at higher speeds.

The overall fit and finish is great. The helmet cuts through the air very well, but it’s a bit noisy. Really not a problem if you wear headphones during your commute, which I usually do. Passing those 18 wheel dinosaurs on the freeway wasn’t a problem. Good air flow too!
