Shark Raw Stripe Helmet
I have always been a full face helmet person, but i decided to branch out and try a 3/4. I love this helmet because with the goggles and face shield you get protection from bugs and debris like a full face but at a fraction of the weight. The air vents and open front allow for great air flow, which of course also means a bit louder of a ride. I do wear glasses (so i highly recommend the Shark Explorer R tinted goggles) and the goggles fit nicely over them without smashing them into my face or pushing the sides in. I haven't spent a whole day in it yet, i have only done a 2-2.5 hour ride, but i had no issues with comfort or heat. Some of the other posts mentioned the face mask catching in the breeze, but i have yet to have this issue.
In short, i highly recommend this helmet, i love the styling and it is light weight with great air flow.

Nice Summer Helmet
Got this as a second helmet to a Shoei Qwest which is the only other helmet I can compare the Raw to. Got it because the Qwest gets pretty steamy in the summer during city driving. I wanted something with a bit more airflow but would at least keep dust and bugs off my face. For that it works great. It's somewhat awkward to get on and off, but once it's on it's very comfortable. Only two nits to pick are that the strap is short. There is barely enough length to get through the D rings and secure with the snap. It's also on the loud side. I know a 3/4 helmet isn't supposed to be silent, but the side pods seem to create extra wind noise. If you put your hand up to the side or turn your head slightly the wind noise goes away. Not a big deal at around town speeds.

This is a great looking, comfortable, cool helmet. It is good quality for the money, and I have had no issues with it at all. Airflow is great, a little on the loud side, but it is technically an open faced helmet... overall I absolutely love this helmet. Would definitely recommend it.

Yes on style, No on functionality
Fit was very good. Couldn't believe how light it was. Style was obviously what I wanted.
I thought the goggles were a nice touch, but the more I used them on city streets the more annoying they became, especially for head checks.
Biggest issue, though, was the goggles didn't marry happily to my face. Always a bit of a gap, which ultimately wasn't a shock, but bugs which get up in there basically just rattle around until you have the opportunity to stop, tilt the goggles and let them escape.
Other issue was with how the face plate is mounted to the bottom of the goggle. I hadn't wore anything like that before, so wasn't sure about the dynamic.
It was horrible.
If you are just cruising around in town, staying around or below 40 ish miles per hour it should be fine. The second you get on a highway or jump the throttle to even higher speeds the entire face plate and goggles start to lift from the wind. And if you turn your head either way while going (head check), it starts flopping around pretty badly.
Love the styling, the fit and it was fairly quiet for an open faced helmet. But functionally, especially with that gogles/faceplate combo....not good.

I love this helmet. Great for city cruising, especially here in New Orleans with the hot humid weather. Too loud for highway use, but it won't stop me from buying another one.

Nice helmet with great style
The only issue is the noise, so for short rides it´s ok, but for long rides you should use earplugs, other than that the helmet have a nice style and is really confortable

Narrow Vision, Clumsy Goggle
Great Style - makes you look like a Jet Fighter and it's light weight. However due to the design of the goggle, it gives you narrower vision so you have to turn you head a bit more to get a good shoulder check. It is also very difficult to lift the goggle/shield up with one hand - if you not doing it right (with one hand), it will snap back to your face (and smash on your glasses if you wear them). The foam on the goggle sometimes brush on my nose and make my noise itchy. Despite all these, I wear it sometimes due for it's style ....

Best helmet I've owned to date
I upgraded from a bell custom 500 open face to the Shark Raw, at over 2x the price of the bell I was upgrading from and not being able to try and do a fit test or find a distributor to just hold it in my hand and try it on I was nervous. I measured my head at 57 1/2 cm and ordered the medium. I have been very happy with everything about this helmet since it arrived over 3 months ago and more than 2k miles of riding with it. Swapping lenses the first couple times is a pain and takes several minutes. I have learned how to don the helmet with the goggles and mask down. The vent on the helmet barely makes a difference although i have long hair. Padding, support and comfort are all there and has the space for BT speakers. It's lightweight. It's stylish. It has replaceable parts and good lenses. Keep your microfiber cloth on hand. I add a drop of water and chip off the bug guts and polish the lenses many times a ride the lenses are holding up well. Everything is as expected and I am still very pleased with this gnarly helmet. I'd buy it again. I have no plans for another upgrade. If something goes on it i can just replace that part and Zilla is quick at getting things shipped so i have confidence in keeping this around for a long time.
