Looks great! What an improvement over the "humongous" factory muffler! Fit and finish are excellent, very easy to install and it sounds just right for adventure touring bike! I think Triumph could sell a few more Tiger Explorers if they came with a muffler that looked as good as this one does! June 15, 2015
Awesome! I had an older Scorpion pipe on my SV. I liked it. So I opted for the carbon pipe for my Explorer. It sounds awesome. The quality and finish is superb. Much easier to install this on the Explorer than my Suzuki SV. I didn't even have to cut the pipe. Brought the bike to the shop and they downloaded a map using the "Arrow pipe 89", works perfectly with the bikes new setup. Very pleased and Revzilla is always a great place to buy stuff from. Good pipe so far. The pipe didn't line up perfectly with the hanger bracket but it did fit. I would imagine it is hard to account for any manufacturing tolerances in the manufacture of the bike and pipe. The connecting pipe and sip-on are gorgeous. The welds are high quality and the slip-on fits on the connecting pipe perfectly. The springs are a cool mechanical/race looking touch. The sound is nice and the bike pops a little under engine braking, which I like. The size of the pipe is a huge improvement over the stock pipe as it is much smaller and lighter (6.5lbs. less on my bathroom scale). My big complaint is the Scorpion logo on the pipe is a sticker! The first time I wiped the pipe down, the edge of the sticker peeled back. Why the heck would you put a sticker on a pipe that will change temperature constantly? A metal rivet plate would have matched the quality of the rest of the pipe. I could take the sticker off, but I like the look. Overall, I am satisfied. November 1, 2014
Sounds great - fits okay Old pipe removal was a breeze and the new bottom pipe slipped on with ease. Aligning the muffler to the lower pipe AND to the factory mounting bracket however was a little tricky as the tolerances are pretty close. I finally got everything lined up and tightened down to where it doesn't put any undue stress on the mounting tab or the lower pipe but the muffler still touches the inside of the passenger footrest bracket. This may be an indication that the footrest bracket is slightly bent from an amazing off-road adventure (Which is the reason I need to replace the factory pipe) Suggestion for Scorpion - use a slot on the mounting tab to allow slight adjustment of the muffler position. It looks like the mounting to muffler connection is not a sturdy as it could be. The system is significantly lighter than the factory pipe (at least 10#). The 1215cc triple sound is great with the baffle removed - very deep rich tone that isn't obnoxious. August 18, 2014
easy install beautifully made and very easy to install looks and sounds better than stock April 28, 2014
Great sound The Scorpion really lets you hear the triple on a Triumph Explorer without being obnoxious. And it looks great on the bike. I would recommend removing the reflectors on your license plate holder though. My right reflector was melted by the exhaust. June 5, 2013

A shopper asked: I have the rear factory cases on my Triumph Tiger Explorer, will this muffler fit underneath luggage mounts? May 25, 2015

Blayde P: Fits underneath nicely, however the real problem is the rear mount is 3/8" too far forward. After 20-39 emails back and forth with Peter Novacek at scorpion, I had to fab an offset bushing myself to make it work.

They did replace the first one through Revzilla as when my repair shop installed it, the pipe itself actually developed a stress crack as the had to force to to get it mounted.

Hope this helps!

Kyle B: I wouldn't know for sure because I don't have factory or aftermarket cases. But the pipe is much smaller than the stock can so I'm pretty sure it would fit fine with them. May 25, 2015
