Scorpion Intrepid Jacket
Great Value - Nice Quality - Nice Style
I am 6' and 225lbs. I normally wear size Large in American cut gear for a snug fit that I like. But for this jacket, the XL fits perfectly, so I suspect the sizes may run a little small for this model as noted by a previous reviewer.
We've had a cold winter, and I normally wear heated gear. But I ventured in 28*F with my new Scorpion with just the thermal liner and it was very comfortable. It has great wind protection so I stayed warm. Admittedly, it was only a twenty minute ride, so I couldn't say it would keep me warm on a long ride.
I particularly like the velcro waist cinches to customize the fit. The arms are pretty snug already, so I don't use the sleeve adjustments.
I never cared for double zippers, which make it finicky to zip up the jacket. But I have this issue with all double zippers. I never unzip from the bottom, so this feature is just a hassle for me.
Style-wise, this jacket almost a modern interpretation of a classic jacket like Belfast. Very clean lines, classic pocket placement and cinched waist. Of course there are modern features like venting and reflective elements.
I recommend this jacket based on it's value, quality, features and style.

This is probably one of the best looking Hi-Viz jackets out there. It served me well on a 2-day road trip to Richmond, VA. I felt more visible than usual and the pockets, liners, etc. were functional. At this price it is a great all-around, 3-season jacket. The only criticism I have is that the liner zipper could be improved. It is flimsy and sometimes difficult to operate.

Great quality jacket
I purchased this Scorpion Intrepid Jacket as my first motorcycle jacket only a few weeks ago. Keep in mind that I don't have any real motorcycle gear to compare it to, and haven't ridden with it more than 10 times only in hot summer weather.
With all this in mind, I will say this is a great, high quality jacket at an affordable price.
- Riding in the hot Georgia sun (without the thermal liner, obviously) with this jacket is still quite comfortable, as long as I'm not wearing it when just walking around.
-The material all seems high quality, durable, and good to go.
-The high visibility color really helps with visibility and also looks great
-The armor feels pretty hefty and I feel confident that this jacket would keep me safe if I went down
-the zippers can be a little bit frustrating to get on and off, but not a big deal at all (very minor annoyance)
-I wish there was more reflecting strips on the jacket for night time visibility
-The back armor is, as some reviewers noted, a bit thin (its that thin foam). Because of this, I took someone elses advice and also purchased the Klim D3O Viper T5 Pro Back Protector to put inside - haven't installed it yet, but if there are any problems, I'll update this review.
The pros definitely outweigh the cons, and I highly recommend this jacket, especially for a beginner at this price point.
I'm 6' 205 and a Large is a bit snug but definitely the best size choice.

Good bang for the buck, Starter Jacket
6ft 200lbs and bought a Large. It runs a little more snug than what I am use to, but I would not go a size up.
Had the jacket for a week it is great. At $180 it is all you need for a starter jacket. The ventilation is a little weak, but that was expected as it tend to perform best in Spring/Fall weather.
I upgraded the back armor to Klim D3O Viper T5 Pro Back. This is awesome an awesome upgrade, I highly recommend.

typical good Scorpion product
Haven't used it yet, but well made, armor is level 1, but I swapped other Scorpion jacket level 2 soft armor and upgraded to T5 D30 back protector insert, should be good to go. Quality stitching, color is outstanding, fit runs a little small. Very satisfied so far.
