Scorpion Helix Jacket
Great jacket on closeout
Wanted a good three season jacket for a decent price. So far this seems to be doing the trick. Haven't ridden in 70 degrees out above yet, so we'll see if I can get enough airflow for summer riding.

Wrist closure design ruins an otherwise good jacket.
I'm generally a fan of Scorpion products, including both Hat-Trick jackets I own. I really wanted to like this one, but I just can't get past the incredibly uncomfortable wrist closures. Instead of a simple zipper, closing around a thin gather of material, they tried this new trick of having a zipper, closing around the same heavy thick material as the rest of the jacket, PLUS a Velcro cinch strap for personalized adjustment. Their idea being that you can use the Velcro to set the right size for your wrist, and then use the zipper to take it on and off. But once you have everything zipped/adjusted, you have all this extra bunched up heavyweight material jabbing into your wrist all the way around (especially if you wear gauntlet gloves on the outside of the jacket, like me). As for the rest of the jacket, I would call it a spring/fall jacket since it's full time waterproof with only average venting. Way too hot for mid-summer.

Excellent Motorcycle Riding Jacket From Scorpion - Read Before you Buy
Let me start with, I'm from India and a new customer to Revzilla. The Gear team were really helpful in sorting out my requirements with respect to my sizing. Cut to the chase, the jacket is extremely stylish to look at and has all the bells and whistles that one would look for at this price point. The frame is extremely well built and gives that solid feeling of "Build to Last" impressions. The initial ride that the jacket witnessed was around a 300 mile ride, unfortunately what was planned for a dry ride eventually turned into a wet ride, thanks to the Rain God's. Although, I was initially worried about the rain repellent characteristics as the H20 block material used in building the frame is new to me, the jacket held really well throughout the ride, leaving no traces of water inside. To my surprise, the jacket was very well ventilated and was never discomforting throughout the ride.Coming to the downside is the sizing and armour. The Sizing is a perfect fit which needs careful consideration before the buy. The Jacket is not too short nor loose. It's Perfect in sizing with an ultimate sport fit. The Body Armour although does their job pretty decent , I would sincerely suggest a Knox upgrade for the spine as the existing flexi form armour doesn't do justice.
Overall, Highly Recommended with 4.5 Stars. Would have given 5 provided it had come with a better spine protector.

Not a bad product
The jacket is very stylish & offers great protection. It's fairly comfortable with just a little too much snuggness in the arms for me. The air flow wasn't the greatest. Even when I took the liner out & opened my zippers I still felt like I was in an oven set on low heat. It wasn't to uncomfortable, just a bit distracting.

Good spring/fall jacket for the money
I bought this jacket from a local bike shop about one week ago and have ridden at least 5-6 hours in it since then, so I cannot attest to all of its features, but since there are no other reviews I'll add what I can.
This is a great entry level jacket that fits true to size. It is well worth what I paid for it. It looks very large on me, but the small fits me quite well. With the back protector I just ordered from RevZilla it should fit like a glove with the liner in. The armor lines up where it should and doesn't really move around. I like the styling (I have the black/white version).
The materials and craftsmanship are better than I expected for this price range of jacket. The material is very tough but not too restrictive. I've taken a few large insect hits and I barely would have known it if it weren't for the sound.
The air flow is where this jacket lacks. The vents only go to the liner (not directly through), so this is definitely a spring/fall jacket for temperatures less than 70 degrees or so. I must say that I rode in 88 degree sunny weather for 2-3 hours one afternoon and it was a bit uncomfortable, but the liner venting is surprisingly effective. I was also wearing Scorpion's Trey riding pants over a pair of jeans, and I was never too uncomfortable unless stopped. The sleeves were the only area where I was significantly damp from sweating. However, I ordered Scorpion's mesh Drafter jacket and pants immediately after that ride if that tells you anything.
Considering the rainproofing (even without liner) as well as the armor and venting, I'd say this jacket has more features than I expect for the price. With the liner you could well go into winter riding conditions, and without it I am perfectly comfortable up to 70 degrees.
I will probably keep this jacket until I spend at least 2-3x more on high quality 3-season jacket with considerably more features once I am a more established rider. I will also keep loyal to Scorpion products as I have yet to be disappointed.
