Good value for a street glove. Have ridden with the gloves for about 1,000 miles. Initial fit was good if a bit snug, break in was quick. Good feel for the grips and levers. Only complaint has been with the knuckle protectors, after about 100 miles or so into a ride I felt they were a bit tight across the knuckles, particularly on the small or "pinkie" finger knuckle. I do like the gloves and will continue to wear them. Good value for the price. March 23, 2015
Good disposable gloves for one season I bought these because of good reviews and a nice price. After less than a year the stitching in the fingers is coming apart. I'm glad I never went down with these on. I think they would have come apart completely. March 15, 2015
Nice looking glove doe's the trick Gloves are very aggressive looking! fit is tight but does not bind or rub ya funny! Very nice "tough" glove January 19, 2015
Crash Tested So unfortunately I had to crash test these gloves.. I was driving about 40 mph on a road with no streetlights I came across a tree in the middle of the road and did not have enough time to react, when I did react, I grab the front brakes a little too hard and I went down on the left side. I slid and I tumbled.. luckily I am okay and am only a little sore with a sprained hand and a sprained shoulder from how I put my hand down when I hit the ground. The only damage to these gloves are some worn down areas from hitting the road and some obvious marks on the glove. no hole torn open in glove to expose skin so my hands are good to go! It saved my skin and possible bones! after hitting the ground at about 40 mph i think these gloves are awesome. btw, i own the white and they are cool! January 7, 2015
Great overall glove Glove looks really good and fits great. Looks like it should provide some good protection as well January 5, 2015
I bought this as my first real pair of gloves - Did not disappoint Wanted something I could wear year around in Southern California. Blistering hot summers and mild winters. Well, they don't keep your hands that warm sub 50 degrees, but it keeps them warm enough to prevent hypothermia. lol They don't flow air amazingly well either but it gets the job done. What these do right are 1. Comfort 2. Protection 3. Style. They are VERY comfortable and I was used to them after the first day of riding. The stiching is on the outside so there's no annoyance on your fingers. Protection: it's pretty much a full gauntlet style glove. Haven't gone but I'm fairly confident they will protect my hands. Style: They're f@#$%g power ranger gloves. What more could you ask for? December 1, 2014
Solid First pair of gauntlet style gloves. Overall, without much to compare to, seems like a great product for the cost. Even though they do have perforations, I found them comfortable to around 40F, but your tolerance may vary. The gauntlet can be slim enough to go under a cuff and expands enough to go over. Protection seems good; both knuckles and palm sliders. I got them in white, I like the styling as well. Construction seems good, I prefer gloves to be snug fitting and the way they are sewn I do not have the inseems digging under my nails. December 1, 2014
great for the price Took some getting used to, because of the gloves I upgraded from had minimal protection. Now that they're broken in, they're very comfortable. They seem very sturdy and we'll made. Sizing was spot on , I'm a large. I haven't had a chance to test them out in hot weather but I don't expect a whole lot of ventilation. November 24, 2014

A shopper asked: I a new rider looking for a sub-$100 gauntlet and am trying to decide between the Scorpion Guardian and the Speed and Strength Lock and Load. What do you guys recommend? I'm open to other suggestions too! Apr 12, 2014

Joseph N: I have been using the Scorpion Guardian gauntlets for a little over a month now. After the first couple of rides I had a few sore spots on my knuckles, but once I got them broke-in they are super comfortable. The vents on the knuckles allows me to wear them on hot days too. I highly recommend these gloves. Great glove at a reasonable price. Apr 12, 2014

Luand G: Haven't tried the lock and load. But I can tell you The Guardian is a good glove for the price. I have been wearing it not for past month and have nothing to complain about. Its going tol be great in the summer due to the about of air it lets in. The protection is also where you would need it. Thats my opinion. Good luck. Apr 12, 2014

Christopher P: I'm not too savvy about the lock and load gloves, i never used them, but i did buy the Guardians. Those were the best fitted gloves on me, feels great riding in them, they offer excellent protection while still giving decent control feeling in them. I highly recommend those gloves to anyone. Hope that helped! Apr 16, 2014

Grant G: I'm a new rider as well and the scorpion has been a great first glove... It's got good protections, feels great, and breathes pretty well... Can't speak about the speed and strength glove but you can't go wrong with the scorpion... Apr 12, 2014

Reesey L: I wear a large for my Teknic gloves, so I went with a large in these. A little snug at first, but after a few lengthy rides they were broken in and felt good. I tried XL in A?'s and Teknic, and they were a little on the big side. Great gloves for the price. Hope that helps. Jul 16, 2014

Roland M: Sizing chart is indeed accurate but I went with one size down to get a very tight fit and went with a Medium. Even with the medium I still find a lot of play in the thumb. But the gloves are comfortable you should have no issues with sizing if you base it on the chart. Jul 15, 2014

Ronald Scott H: I would say the size chart is accurate. Keep in mind, it's an American fit. If you wear a medium in firstgear or AGV, it would fit similar to that. If you wear a medium in dainese or alpinestars, a medium in the scorpion would probably be a bit big. Jul 15, 2014
Brendan M: Yes the sizing chart is accurate. I bought a large based on the sizing chart and it fits perfectly. Jul 16, 2014

Beau M asked: I have had mine for about 1 month and the velcro on the wrist cinch has given way and will not connect to itself. is this a common problem, or do i have a bunk pair? Dec 29, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Christopher P: The threading on mine between the fingers was undone upon arrival. I have since returned mine, I think they are made with poor quality, which explains the price. If you can easily repair them, keep 'em. If not, then send them back and try again. I am planning on buying another pair myself. Hope this helps. Jan 2, 2014

Grant G: Hasn't happened to me since I bought a pair but haven't put those hard hours in with the glove yet Dec 29, 2013

Phillip N asked: Does the molded hard knuckle protection on these gloves or similar ones cause your knuckles to bruise?

I currently wear a pair of Frank Thomas Rage gloves with carbon knuckle protectors. I've worn them for not quite 10 hours during the MSF basic course, and I noticed that my middle knuckles were getting pretty red, sore, and bruised. Maybe my gloves are not quite broken in yet, or they just don't fit well enough. Perhaps it's just a fact of life with ALL gloves that have hard knuckle protection?

My only concern is the fit on this product; they seem to be pretty good quality otherwise. Seemingly good looks, good protection, and good construction, all wrapped up at a nice price point.

Christopher P: I have never had that problem, All the gloves I've owned have had hard knuckle protectors. Either your gloves are too small or you"re gripping the bars too tight, common problem for new riders. Are you forearms hurting as well? Jun 15, 2014

Reesey L: I used these for a track day and 2 Street rides so far and I have not had any issues with discomfort or anything like that. These are a great quality for the price. They offer great protection. You won't regret the purchase. Jun 14, 2014

Masanori M: I own this gloves and very comfortable. The hard knuckles sits on their own so do not rub against your knuckles. So, soft & everything works very well. Jul 11, 2014

A shopper asked: Does the molded knuckle protection on these gloves or similar ones bruise your knuckles? My current full gauntlet gloves (Frank Thomas Rage) have carbon molded knuckle protection, but after a while of riding, my middle knuckles get sore and bruised. Is this just a fact of life when wearing gloves with hard knuckle protection?

Maybe they'll fit better after really breaking them in; I've only worn them for maybe 10 hours or so. Maybe my current gloves just don't fit right and I should get a new pair. These gloves have the protection and looks I want at a price point I'm happy about; I'm just worried about the fit.

Pete S: No, it doesn't cause my knuckles to bruise. I worn them for a 8 hour trip, 400 miles. & they felt comfortable to accommodate that trip.

*Tip: if you're going to be riding in wet conditions. I suggest you get a size smaller. The leather does break in & stretch a bit. Or now is bigger than when I bought it.

Roland M: The fit is great and I really like the gloves. I've had absolutely no pain where the armor hits but my only complaint is that the thumb doesn't fit as snug as I'd like. Seems like there is always a half inch of spare room in that area. But given the price point... hard to complain. Jun 13, 2014

CARLOS Z: Actually after wearing these gauntlets for a few weeks they still bruise my middle knuckles quite a bit. i usually use them to go to work or cruise around the city sometimes, but nevertheless they still bruise me a bit. Hope this helps Jun 17, 2014

Fred R asked: I'm trying to decide between this glove and the Cortech Latigo RR gloves. They are the same price and look to offer similar protection. Wondering if anyone has tried these and/or the Latigo RR and could you compare the two? Thanks! Aug 26, 2014

Joseph N: I've only tried the scorpion gloves. The first couple of times I wore these my knuckles were raw. After they were broke in, they are very comfortable. I use them all year. Very good glove for the price. Aug 27, 2014
