Scorpion EXO-500 West Helmet
Excellent fit and features
The helmet is everything I asked for in this purchase. I wanted a snug, fitted helmet that doesn't shift when you turn your head on the freeway to check before lane changing. In my past helmet, I had an issue where the helmet would move due to the wind resistance when I turned my head sideways. There's an airpump embedded in the cheek pads to fill up the loose space between your cheeks and the helmet which guarantees a good fit. The sunvisor feature is also favorable as it's easy to find while using gloves and snaps quickly into place: on and off. It doesn't have the lag or sticky issue like the newer HJC sunvisors like in the IS 17. The venting seems functional, at least in the chin vent. As for protection, I've never fallen off my bike in a manner where I fell on my head, so I cannot speak from experience but the helmet seems trustworthy since it's DOT approved.

Solid, small, imperfect visor settings.
Overall, I am happy with this helmet but have 2 small things I have noticed given some time spent with it now.
As everyone else has stated this helmet runs small, and it is primarily due to the very, very snug cheek pads. I have a small dome and had to size up into a medium for the first time in any size scheme in my life as far as head wear goes.
Moving onto the "cracked" feature for the visor, I really enjoy it when I start traveling at speeds over 45mph for any extended period. However, this feature doesn't allow the visor to flip up or down until you readjust the lever again. Often I find that I will accidentally close the visor in the locked position and then unlock the visor after a second attempt.
Admittedly, this is something that will improve with further practice, but I often find myself on my commute through town wishing for a minimalistic "open" setting like the "cracked" amount offers without having the entire visor locked into that setting. For example, when I pull up to a light and sit, I wish I could simply flip the lid up and upon take off return it to the cracked setting in one movement.
The intermediate lifted position of the visor is worthless and simply blocks my vision. Simply put the visor has a marketed wide array of features, (quick change, cracked, intermediate setting...) but the different points where it is lifted open are too wide or not able to accessed with fewer than two separate motions.
As a result I find myself purposely shutting the lid entirely, or riding with it fully open and only utilizing the cracked feature around the 55-65mph range on highways or environments where little stopping occurs.
Initially, I thought the pump feature for fit would be more useful, but I never utilize it. If you get the correct fitting helmet I don't think it's necessary to need to dial in the adjustments to a specific number of pumps.
The drop down sun visor is pretty nice. I had never had one, and thought I would no longer need to carry or plan ahead regarding second visors with more or less tint. It does allow me to simply grab the helmet and go without worrying about lighting conditions as much, but the drop down visor doesn't provide quite as much tint as some people may prefer if they wish to eliminate more of those pesky rays. As a result I have found myself often considering purchasing a separate visor with a darkened tint, but simply haven't wished to shell out the coin due to a setup that works "well enough".
I'm happy with my helmet, but will be more picky about the different visor settings with my future purchases.

A good comfortable helmet with nice features for the price
Been using for a few weeks thus far and am really enjoying the helmet. It isn't too expensive considering the features that it comes with.

Great helmet for the money
For the amount I paid this helmet had done me right. Could have paid 3x more for an Arai and had slightly less noise but why pay so much for that one quality. This helmet is great. had it about 6 montgs now and love it. Oh yeah the best feature is the antifog. Scorpion is the only make that I have experienced true no fog.

Very nice and light helmet compared to my last one. Love the sunglasses built in. Makes riding much easier on the eyes.

After 5k the helmet managed to keep up. Air flow can be a bit low, the fake leather on the neck roll is starting showed significant wear, the sun visor have maintained its anti fog qualities. Had to change the visor few times due to scratches that with time can be a bit annoying. The cheeks pad are getting worned out but mainly due to facial hair. The wind deflector around the neck roll started to detached but nothing that some super glue can fix. Overall I am very content with the helmet, the grease neon paint scheme still attracts a lot of attention from drivers, wished it had better wind interaction but being a sort of round helmet I guess is prone to do so. I highly recommend this helmet specially if you are in a budget but with protection consciousness.

This is my third EXO. Started with the 700 then 1000 and now the 500. I have tried other helmets and these fit my noggin pretty good. Only issue I have with the internal visor is the extra room it takes up pushes the padding a little tight on my temples making it hard to get glasses on. On the 1000, I cut a small hole in the side padding and used some hemostats to pull some of the foam out of the temple pads which makes it easier to get glasses on. I will do the same mod to this one.

Good overall helment
I've had this helmet for 10 months now, overall great helmet. Biggest complaint is that the sizing, went one size up to an extra large kind of wish I would have stuck with the large but the break in would have been unbearable. Can't say enough about the drop down visor, I do not think I can ever go to one without the sun visor. It does get slightly loud at higher speeds unless you close all the vents. Good product for the money!
