Scorpion EXO-500 West Helmet
This is my first full face helmet. A bit on the snug side for my round nugget but with smaller cheek pads it's just right. Face shield got some scratches after 3 months of use but not noticeable while riding .

Love the helmet!!
I wanted an EXO since trying on a 500-series about 6 months ago in a BMW showroom. Love the internal visor (I have sensitive blue eyes) and the dedicated de-fog position for the visor. Very comfortable to try on, but I haven't spent any extended time in it yet. It seems a bit tight right now, but I'm hoping it'll loosen up a little once "broken-in". If not, it's still acceptable.
The graphics that I preffered, the WEST, are apparently not very popular, because I got mine for about $50 cheaper than other graphics; mine was on close out for $159 delivered.
Fit and finish is as nice as ANY helmet I've owned or looked at. Graphics are under a nice gloss coat, they look good!
Visor swapping (I bought the mirrored one for it) was harder than they make it sound, but it was probably just me doing it wrong. If you want an extra visor, they are more than $50, so that's an issue considering some companies offer theirs for less than $15! (At $50 each, I won't have a collection, that's for sure)
Quality of the visor mechanism seems really solid, with positive detents and a good feel.
Interior is, again, of very high quality. Cheek pads are really nice and snap out easily. I probably won't use the AIR BLADDER system, due to the snugness of the helmet right now, but maybe after some time (and miles) pass.
I would definitely recommend this helmet, especially at the price I got it for! Just consider the extra shield price if you don't want clear (included).

It did its job.... I'm not dead
I had been riding for a about a year, had my permit, insurance the whole package. I was never too reckless. Only used my bike for my 7 mile community to the university. Unfortunately while on my way to class one morning i was in an accident. I woke up 3 days later in the hospital with a breathing tube in my mouth unable to move. I had broken both my legs, both my ankles, fractured my hip, dislocated my shoulder, broke my wrist, displaced my kidney, tore my bladder, and fractured my spine. Later realizing that I had been thrown over 100ft off my bike, and nearly bled to death. I was not distraught with my situation, only grateful that my spine was not severed. My head was was not critically injured but my neck was incredibly stiff and I did have a 2 inch cut going across my forehead, most likely from the initially smack to the ground. I was a track running, 300lbs benching 500lbs squating animal, all that muscle on me LITERALLY kept me alive, but this is just my story. There is no right or wrong. Only Experience. Decide for yourself what you think you need to do. Its a Great helmet, I loved it very much. Great quality, fit so well, was very comfortable.

Incredibly tight cheek pads
So let's get the negative out of the way first:
I ordered according to my size on the chart and found it to be too small. So I ordered the next size up
And was rewarded with a helmet that fit my head.
But with cheek pads that put so much pressure on my neck, I felt like I was being choked out.
I can't understand the reasoning behind nearly doubling the thickness of the cheek pads (29 mm in the L to 42 mm in the XL). I am not exaggerating when I say the width of the helmet was more than an inch narrower on the XL than the L. Apparently Scorpion thinks people with bigger heads have significantly smaller necks?
The styling is good; the internal sun visor is OUTSTANDING; and the lock open for the main visor is pretty useful.
While I recommend this helmet, I would be very aware that you will have to buy different cheek pads, at least for the XL.

Nice helmet for a nice price
I bought this helmet just a couple of weeks ago to replace an older Bell Vortex that I have been riding in for several years. I feel like this helmet has a slightly better build quality than the Bell, but has a slightly more narrow field of vision, and is also slightly louder.
This helmet fit me very tight in the cheeks initially, but after swapping the cheek pads out to the "Large" it fits perfect! RevZilla was great to work with on getting the cheek pads to me quick and without shipping charge. The whole inside of the helmet seems well made and of a quality material. Another small negative is the small opening that you must cram your head through when putting the helmet on. Not a big deal but an hindrance.
The sunvisor is a cool feature, but I feel like it is a little bit of a gimmick. I am not really sold on its functionality yet, but at least it looks cool. Seems to cause some glare...
I was hoping for there to be less wind noise when on my naked bike (Triumph Speed Triple) but its pretty loud. So I guess I will keep wearing my ear plugs.
The paint on this helmet looks great! the trim fits well and seems like it is going to stay in place.
Overall I think this helmet was a good buy. I gave it 4 stars because 5 would be darn near perfect in every way, which I dont think I have ever experienced that in any safety gear. I will update this in a few months to let everyone know how well it holds up.

For the price I paid, this is a steal. Great quality and looks.

Purchased this helmet for the internal visor and air flow. I love the lever-down option that adds a small gap below the visor. The helmet definitely fits rounder than my head (I am slightly narrow), but I knew that when I purchased it. The cheeks and foam will feel very tight initially, but now it fits perfectly.
At high speeds (75 mph), it becomes fairly loud, but the helmet doesnt feel like it is dragging or lifting off of my head.

Good helmet for the price
I bought this to replace an EXO-1000 that I was wearing during a crash. I wanted to save a bit of money while still getting that awesome flip down sun-visor. While the fit and comfort are comparable, this helmet is definitely a bit louder. An easy fix with a pair of earplugs, but if it's something that bothers you, I'd go up a step.
