Best helmet I own!!!
This is by far the best helmet I have bought. Its very comfy and quiet. Coming from a Icon alliance this thing feels like a feather on my head. The air flow is pretty good enough to keep me cool but not anything special. The features this thing comes with are the best part: the visor closure, air fit system, easy to remove visor, and the the quality and comfort of the interior. helmet does great on the highway and is comfortable with headphones in. highly recomend this helmet but on the fitment side I was between a small and a medium, I went for the Medium and it fits just as it should.

Awesome Helmet, One Gripe.
This helmet is a very good quality piece of motocycle equipment.<br>Fit and Finish:<br>The helmet design and coloring are very pleasing to the eye. The finish of the helmet has even seasoned riders come up and start asking me questions about it. I just got back from a 650 mile round trip to Santa Fe wearing this helmet and performed very well. It flowed air when I wanted it to and blocked out the chiliness when I needed it. This is where the one gripe comes in. On long trips I (as well as others) enjoy listening to music during the ride. This helmet fit is tight, it kept knocking out my earbuds when I put the helmet on, however, once the helmet was on with the earbuds the earbuds had no place to go to fall out.<br><br>Venting:<br>All of the vents work very well. You can definitely feel the air flowing through the helmet. The top vents scoop the air and the channels in the top of the helmet flow it effectively cooling your head. Due to the fact that the majority of the trip took place at or around 30 degrees farenheit, the top vents stayed closed (which they effectively blocked the air from coming in) unless my head became too warm. The brow vent allows the air to vent directly to the forehead and brow area very effectively cooled this area down. There is one thing that will keep the air from hitting your skin with the row vent, the inner visor when it is in the down position. The chin vents work very well (when your windshield isn't blocking the air) and allows the visor to remain clear.<br><br>Visor and Inner Visor:<br>The visor that comes with the helmet is clear in color and provides a clear view of the road. Does it fog? Yes it does but that can be dealt with using the chin vent or the visor detent lever. The inner visor that comes with the helmet is a light smoke color. When returning to El Paso from Santa Fe the sun was constantly in my eyes. I was wearing Oakley sunglasses, the inner visor was down as well as the outer visor and it was still hurting my vision. When I got home I promptly got onto Revzilla and ordered a light smoke outer and a dark smoke inner visors.<br><br>This helmet is very good quality and I reccommend it highly. Bang for the buck? Full of bang.<br><br>The helmet is also very quiet with the usual bufffetting due to the air agitated by the bike and the windshield.<br><br>2005 BMW K1200S

I bought this helmet to replace my first helmet I owned. I'm very pleased with the helmet and you get what you pay for! Scorpion EXO-1100 Helmet - Good buy
Hey 'Zilla, Thanks!!<br><br>I have had this item for almost a year now.<br><br>I am not sure what to say about this product. The only true test of a helmet is protecting your 'noggin from the random bits of flying road debris and immovable objects that suddenly appear in your path of travel. Honestly, I do NOT want to test that aspect of my headgear. ;)<br><br>In every other regard, I find the helmet to be more than adequate! Airflow is great, sits snug and securely (thank you Anthony/Zilla for the sizing guides!!!), doesn't feel too heavy on the head. Sun shield has been handy a few times too.<br><br>Now it does, IMO, have one or two weak areas and these are probably completely subjective, in no particular order:<br><br>1) High speed, say around 75-80 mph or higher, you will feel the wind force pushing on your head and neck. Sometimes my head feels like a bobber...lol.<br>This is my first full face rig, so that may be completely normal, IDK. But I bring it up in relation to the fact that I have neck issues and only once has the bobbing been too much for me to tolerate, high crosswinds too (I just slowed down a bit and continued on my merry way).<br><br>2) I feel peripheral vision could be a bit better. I have to turn my head a bit further than I really feel comfortable doing, in order to see behind me but that again, could be due to my neck issues. Haven't had any problems because of it, just an aspect I am aware of and deal with.<br><br>3) Visor has occasionally gotten stuck in the down position, like it's locked closed, not much of a safety concern but can be annoying.<br>ie: night ride in FL, stop at light, visor starts to fog a little, slip into N, reach up to open visor...wont budge<br>try again...still wont move...one more attempt...nada..ugh!<br><br>Mild panic attack hits as for a brief second the thought that I am trapped in this head casket forever flashes through my mind...omg<br><br>Breathing rate doubles as I try the visor again and again, dramatically increasing level of mist now gathering on the inside of visor...OMG<br><br>Somewhere down a hazy tunnel in my vision, a warm red glow suddenly turns blaring green...omfg<br><br>I realize I am effectively blind at an intersection and the light is now green with traffic all around me...OMFG<br><br>I smack myself on the side of my helmet encased head a few times, near the locking mechanism, conjuring up an image of Luke or Han doing the same thing indicating they were having communication issues, then imaging what the drivers behind me are thinking watching me smack myself around and start to laugh, out loud, fogging whatever minute space of visor that may have escaped my panic driven pant earlier...lmao<br><br>Trying the visor again, it pops open and I can breath again (YEAH!!)<br>but I realize my glasses have also completely fogged over (argh).<br><br>Pulling my glasses forward, so they are on the end of my nose, my vision goes from misted over to completely out of focus...fml.<br>I go into 1st, throttle up, clear the intersection and pull over.<br><br>!!!SIGH!!!<br><br>Without getting a single "honk" :)<br><br>Good times, good times!! I still chuckle remembering it :D<br><br>Since then, I have learned that when it gets stuck, to grab bottom of the chin piece and use a little extra pressure on the visor and it opens right up, with a crack sound. In a year, it's gotten stuck maybe 4 or 5 times...the above narrative was the only incident of note :)<br><br>Aside from the above, it's been a great helmet and I have worn it on every highway ride since purchase (just under 5k miles). But again, I have not tested it's only true feature...safely protecting my head.<br><br>Here's to always keeping both wheels upright and rollin'<br>2009 Shadow 750

Great features and looks good
I got this helmet at a significantly reduced price, which put it in my price range. The helmet has great airflow which also equates to more noise. I keep my top vents closed at higher speeds. The internal sun visor is a must for me, though I wish it was darker. The helmet is also relatively light. While it is comfortable, I have noticed that it causes pain behind my left ear after about 5 hours. The anti-fog works very well with one horrible side effect...it causes a lot of condensation (doesn't spread out for faster evaporation). This isn't a problem if you crack the visor (which it has a switch to lock this position). I ride with this helmet all seasons (in Missouri) and I'm happy with it.

Great helmet, good features, quiet but fits small
This is a great helmet. I've only had it a few weeks but it's comfortable and has great features. I really like the internal sun visor. The flip down mechanism is easy to use with gloves on. Changing out the medium smoke for a dark smoke was easy. The helmet does fit small... I measured my head at just over 22 inches and according to the Scorpion site, that's the upper end of small, but I got a large helmet and it's still a bit snug. Still new though so when it's broken in it should be great. Especially with the inflatable pads to take up the slack.

Great Helmet
Great bang for the buck helmet. I live in Southern Arizona and we have had a couple 100 degree days so far this year. This helmet, with all of its intake and exhaust options, flows extremely well. At cruising speeds in excess of 80mph this helmet is not too loud but still lets enough sound in to let me feel comfortable knowing I can hear if something is around me. The air fit system is awesome as is the drop down visor. The visor provides just enough tint to make riding during the brightest parts of the day bearable. I would highly recommend this helmet to anyone thinking about purchasing it.

Best helmet for the price and features
This is my second Scorpion; first was the EXO 500. The EXO 1100 is lighter and quieter than the EXO 500, and better handles head turning while traveling at 65 mph. IMHO, just as goo as Shoei, or any of those brands $360+. Visor is great...not too dark, not too light. Air flow is excellent, and even with all the vents, open, was not too bothered by noise traveling at 70 mph on the highway for about 30 minutes. Fits my head perfectly and more securely than the Schuberth C2, but that is individual-based...my choice was down to those two models. Head is 60 cm, and the LARGE was perfect...no hot spots or pressure points. It is difficult to fit into 34L side cases though. I went with the EXO 1100 since I can use it if I return to Europe to live or travel in the near future as well. Highly recommended scorpion to two other friends who ended up buying EXO 1000s, and they are both extremely satisfied too. Best bang for the buck, and I hope they keep churning out quality products and reasonable prices.

I'm a new/returning rider and need a good alround helmet at the right price. my head shape is more oval than round so this model seems to be more for that shape and along with the extendable sun shades, venting and inflatable internal padding theres a lot of helmet to be had in this model.

Keith J on Oct 2, 2013
Bought this a year ago because I wanted a helmet that provided improved ventilation, wide angle vision and a drop-down sun visor. The EXO-1100 provides excellent ventilation ... I no longer feel the need to stop every 45 minutes on a hot day to wet my head. The field of vision on the helmet is superior. I like the sun visor, but I wish it were darker than it is. However, I don't think any of the helmet manufacturers make their built-in sun visors very dark.

If my head measurement is 23", which size should I order? Do these helmets size a little large so I should go with a medium or would I be better off with a large? Also, is this a good choice for a touring rider (BMW 1150rt)? I like the kevlar fibers in the shell, removable liner and sun visor.
A shopper on Feb 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Not sure about the size, I took a large for my head 23" head and it fits fine. Always a little snug the first hours of wear.
Works great for touring. I ride a HD Dyna and have 2 different windshields - never ride without. This is a definite improvement over the other 2 Scorpion Helmets I owned that were geared more towards the sports bike position. Decreased wind noise. Love the sun visor, really helps on those days when it is setting. Can ride with face shield open and visor down so even when you are riding in the city you can get air and block the sun. Removable liner a nice feature. There are better helmets out there but at a much higher price. Hope this model is still around the next time I need to replace mine.
is the EXO-1100 SNELL rated?
Neil F on Jul 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It is not Snell rated. It is only DOT and ECE rated. I believe it too light (it's a kevlar shell). It's a great helmet but there's a lot of wind noise at high speed.
I presently have a Exo 500 helmet that fits me great. Is the exo 1100 the exact same fit as the 500 but just a high up model? If so, it's perfect.
Thanks
David N on Oct 30, 2013
BEST ANSWER: hmm, it fits larger. My biggest concern is I have an odd shaped head that is slightly wider at top and flat there. hard to imagine I know lol.. .Anyhow, the exo 750 felt like it was lying on the outside corner of my head as supposed to the 500 which was perfect all around, just felt like it sits there perfectly. I tried like 15 helments in store and only this on and the $700 Shoei fit... so I got the 500 of course b/c of the price. I can chain pans for the chin but it's more the internal shape I worry about.
Is there a cutout for speakers like the ones with the Sena SMH10
A shopper on Aug 13, 2011
BEST ANSWER: The word from Scorpion is that the EXO-1100 will have speaker cut-outs for communications systems.
What is included with the helmet? Like does it include a bag or other spare parts?
A shopper on Oct 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Helmet comes in a box, with a simple cloth bag. No spare parts included.
I am upgrading from my Scorpion EXO-1000 and am concerned about fit. The EXO-1000 has ALWAYS given me a sore spot in the front middle of my head just below the hairline, so it seems that a helmet more suited to the narrow oval (?) would be more comfortable...just a guess though. My head circumference is 24 in and I ride a cruiser, usually for at least an hour at a time...any suggestions you could provide for helmet selection would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
George

BEST ANSWER: Hi,
I have the same problem (oblong head) I use the Arai Signet Q helmet and bought it to fit snug proper fit. No issues whatsoever with hot spots. I highly recommend the Arai signet q. Pricey but worth every penny!
Is the shell size for a Medium and Large the same? Just different interior padding? Curious if I could swap the interiors between my Medium Kranium and a Large Solid to make a Large Kranium?

BEST ANSWER: I can't answer that question, but I can tell you the first helmet I received had inoperable inflatable cheek pads. Revzilla promptly replaced it, but the second also had faulty cheek pads. I bought it for winter riding because of the shield qualities but was disappointed because to much air flow, (I could tape the vents). Another reason I bought it was to try a different helmet because of buffeting with my Bell and cruiser windshield/lowers combo. Did not help- not the helmets fault.
Other than that, I like the quality, style and flip-down sunscreen.

I am currently using a Scorpion EXO1000. The features on the helmet are nice and other then fitting a little too tight the shape fits my noggin pretty well. My gripe with the helmet though is the wind noise coming from the top spoiler, even with ear plugs it is annoying. The shape of the EXO1100 looks identical, is it any quieter than the 1000?

BEST ANSWER: This helmet is pretty loud cause it's made with a lighter weight kevlar. Anything over 30 min going ~60 mph I would recommend earplugs. It's not a bad helmet but I wish it was quieter.
What are the shell sizes for this helmet? If I get a large, is the shell going to be huge?

BEST ANSWER: I wear a large helmet and this fits comfortably snug. My head is little longer than normal however, so every time I wear it I get the red imprint on my forehead, but that's a minor complaint of a great product. If you wear a large normally this will fit just fine!
I am looking for a helmet for a moderate/intermediate oval shaped head with a flip-down sun screen.
