Great helmet Love all the little things the helmet offers, great fit for my huge head rellay great comfort, noise level cannot believe how quiet is and now my phone calls are a lot clear with my scala system cheers to you guys and to schubert August 24, 2015
Awesome helmet!!!! I will say this is an extremely comfortable helmet, could use a bit more airflow but I'll live with it!! I saved hundreds!!! August 24, 2015
The most amazing helmet that all but choked me out This was an amazingly light and comfortable helmet until I tightened the chin strap. I immediately felt a lump in my throat which only worsened the longer I had it on. I had to struggle to swallow - hence the low rating on comfort. (Whoever thought it was a good idea to put a ski boot binding on your throat needs the contents of his/her helmet examined). Some recommended putting velcro on the padding under the strap but I can't see how the velcro would make a difference since the protection pads were at least initially in place and didn't seem to help. Otherwise, clearly well made helmet to be sure. The face opens easily and feels very secure when locks. The build in sun visor is great and the inside liner and cheek pads were very soft and comfortable. A little on the warmer side but at speed was OK. Again, very light and everything but the chin strap screamed quality. I have a 7 5/8" hat size and usually go with a large in the Shoei but this one I really needed the XL. But first and foremost, I bought this helmet for the claims that it was amazingly quiet. I was not impressed. It is still crazy loud at speed and I had to start wearing ear plugs, which I did not do before. I would venture that if other companies were willing to put their decibel rating on their helmets, you'd see may others with 84 decibel or lower. It was not any quieter than my 10 year old cheep-o HJC! All and all, I was left dissatisfied after spending top dollar for a helmet that did not meet the hype and choked me. Do yourself a favor and wear the thing for like an hour in the dealership. Try to take a drink/swallow, sit on a bike and see how it feels after sitting in a full tuck, or whatever your riding position is. August 20, 2015
This helmet was expensive but worth the investment. The helmet fit as described and, luckily, my head matched the shape. It's a little noisier than my last Schubert, a C2. The air flow through the vents is excellent! 90 plus degree days are quite tolerable as long as I am moving. I installed the Pinlock insert to keep the thing from foging up in early morning traffic. I hope it does as good a job this fall and winter! August 17, 2015
Great quality. Lightweight & Comfortable. It is noticeably lighter and smaller than other modular helmets. The chin-bar, face shield, sun shield, and other moving parts work great. On size: When I first received it, I thought I was going to have to send it back because it was so tight, especially in the cheek-ped area. It broke in a little, and now it is very comfortable even when worn all day. The vent on the top works well. Even on a hot day, I get a cool spot on the top of my head. However i have to keep my windshield adjusted down to keep a good airflow through the top vent. One gripe: Neither the sun shade or the face shield is polarized. If I'm heading west in the evening, or east in the morning, I need to wear polarized sunglasses to reduce the glare off the pavement and cars ahead. This is a glaring omission in a high-end product like this. August 9, 2015
Perfect Helmet for me I moved up from an HJC IS-MAX that I had bounced on the ground a couple of times with my head in it. It was gravel that caused me to go down and my riding buddy told me about the head bouncing. The helmet was not damaged to the untrained eye but I was not taking any chances. I thought about getting another HJC since that one had saved my noggin but I saw this C3 on sale and after thinking it over decided to try something that would have better sound control and was engineered to a different level. I was right, this helmet fits like a glove, does not squeeze me but does not allow movement of the helmet on my head. It has very nice interior materials and just feels solid while being lighter than my HJC. For the price this could not be beat and I am very happy that I went ahead and paid the extra to get the better product. My ears thank me, it is so very quiet that non-freeway driving is actually pleasant without ear plugs, on the freeway there is still just enough that I want the ear plugs since I ride long distances but it is more like riding in a luxury car than an old pickup sound that my HJC had. Good helmet for my head, all around 3X fits my big head very comfortably. The locking mechanism for flip-up face-shield has positive snap when locked in properly. Chin strap release works well even with my gloves. Tinted sun-visor works well and is adequate even when facing directly into a morning or afternoon sun. The Hi-Vis Yellow pops, you can't miss it! This is the only helmet I have ever owned so I can't compare to others, but I am very happy with the fit and features and would repeat the purchase even at the current price. I wish there was a little more airflow, but I haven't had any fogging so far and it seems quiet (relatively speaking). July 27, 2015
Awesome Helmet! This is definitely a testament to German Engineering. The fit and finish are exceptional. You get what you pay for and this helmet proves it. July 27, 2015

Gilbert B: The best helmet that I could find, how many $ it cost was an indication to me of it's overall quality. You normally get what you pay for. It also has a retractable sun shade to boot. And It is stylish in it's graphic designs as well. Check out all the features, I left out most of the good features for you to discover them on your own. Heads up! Apr 2, 2014

A shopper asked: Considering this helmet and wondering is it being discontinued/if so why?

Thanks

Don G: If it is being discontinued it's like everything else, there is a new model available and hopefully an improvement over the old one. I haven't tried the new version but I understand they improved the fit for American riders. Hence hot spot pressure on your forehead. I have a med - to oval head so I experience the hot spot. Other wise this is the best helmet design I have ever worn. Hope that helps! Oct 24, 2013

A shopper asked: I own the helmet and would like to add a communication system, I would like to use the Scala G9 so I can use it on my snowmobile helmet too. Is this possible? My concern is the sun visor slide. Apr 27, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: The G9 will not work on the C3 Helmet because of the visor button/slider if you use the clamp. You do, however, have the option of using the sticky pad and attaching the module that way. Keep in mind this isn't the most sturdy option, but at least it's something. In all honesty, your best bet is going with the Schuberth SRC System for C3 May 1, 2013

A shopper asked: the SR10 to a portable CB and bluetooth it using the PTT to the helmet. I'd also like to stream music and calls from my iPhone 4S. Would the SENA SR10 paired with the Schuberth SRC communications system accomplish my goal?
Thanks,
Dave
Feb 29, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: No, you will not be able to pair the Sena SR10 with the Schuberth SRC Communications System. The SR10 offers only a mono connectivity. Also, the SR10 will only work with FRS and GMRS frequency for CB communications. May 2, 2012
