Schuberth C3 Pro Racing Helmet

The new Schuberth C3 Pro has been redesigned to improve on the original C3, which was already one of the quietest and most technologically advanced helmets ever produced.

The rear spoiler, which has been further optimized in extensive wind tunnel testing, turns the C3 Pro into a real sport helmet which also demonstrates outstanding aerodynamic properties at high speeds in excess of 100 mph. With its enhanced aeroacoustics of 82 dB(A) at 100 km/h the C3 Pro is one of the quietest helmets in the world. The C3 Pro also incorporates two integrated antennas for increased ranges and better FM radio reception – prepared for the fully integrated communication unit SRC-System. The inner lining, made of carefully selected materials such as COOLMAX, Interpower and Thermocool, has been extensively re-shaped and redesigned and sets new benchmarks with respect to comfort.

New or Updated Features:

  • Redesigned shell is more aerodynamic and provided more downforce at higher speeds with little buffeting
  • Interior helmet sound levels have been reduced to 82 dB(A) at 60 mph {C3 84 dB(A)}
  • Interior liner has been completely redesigned with fewer seams and a more universal, interior fit
  • Improved EPS with integrated antenna for SRC-System which improves radio and Bluetooth range
  • New micro-lock ratchet chin strap
  • Larger reflective panels on neckroll
  • Improved faceshield ratcheting
  • Integrated sun visor has a new look and improved quality

A quiet helmet means active safety for the motorcyclist. This permits the rider to concentrate on riding – particularly at higher speeds. Many hours in the Schuberth acoustics wind tunnel have ensured that the C3 Pro is quiet. The comprehensive acoustics package with optimized helmet shell, wind deflector and ergonomic shape of the neck padding make the C3 Pro – at 82 dBA – one of the quietest helmets of all.

  • Acoustics package makes helmet quiet
  • Installation of a wind deflector enables the aeroacoustics and consequently the noise level to be improved still further.
  • Only 82dB(A) at 100 km per hour (with naked bikes)

Outer Shell:

The outer shell of the Schuberth C3 Pro is offered in two helmet shell sizes and combines an aerodynamically optimal shape with excellent protection. It is manufactured using Schuberth's typical compression molding process and thus permits great stability and a low weight.

  • Shell material: S.T.R.O.N.G. fiber
  • Helmet shell technology from SCHUBERTH permits low weight
  • Glass fiber with a special resin added is compressed in a vacuum at high pressure to form a helmet shell which is exceptionally sturdy
  • Perfected aerodynamics for higher speeds
  • Upward lift = 0!
  • Directionally stable
  • No oscillatory tendency
  • No buffeting
  • Spoiler integrated into the helmet shell

SRC-System Ready:

The C3 Pro is by default equipped to accommodate the SCHUBERTH SRC-System C3 Pro (sold separately). To guarantee ideal radio reception for you, the C3 Pro is already equipped with two integrated antennas to boost reception and a Bluetooth® connection.

  • Optimum reception at all times
  • Bluetooth antenna for wireless mobile, GPS and intercom connections to other SRC-System owners
  • FM and Bluetooth antennas integrated into the helmet for optimum reception

The helmet shell of special EPS foam is modular in design to ensure optimal shock absorption. This complex segmentation guarantees enhanced force absorption and distribution and maximum safety.

  • Made of specially optimized EPS foam
  • Complex multizone foaming allows optimal shock absorption

Inner Lining:

A special inner lining of the C3 Pro which was developed according to the innovative Comfort Fit concept ensures that the helmet fits comfortably and securely in all situations. The combination of carefully selected COOLMAX and Thermocool materials and the additional use of Interpower coatings also make the inner lining a highly-effective moisture removal and cooling system.

  • COOLMAX pad system, completely removable and washable (hand wash, 30°C)
  • Optimized fit
  • Variable for effective ventilation
  • Adjustable for summer/winter
  • Allergen-free
  • Antibacterial
  • Removable comfort cheek pads and head band pads

The C3 Pro is equipped with a further development of the proven C3 ventilation system. Thanks to the new design of the ventilation elements, the supply of fresh air is increased by up to 60%. The combination of multipath channels in the EPS foam shell and the head/chin/mouth ventilation  ensure that fresh air is distributed effectively over the entire head area.

A.R.O.S. and Neck Strap:

The Anti-Roll-Off System (A.R.O.S.) especially developed by SCHUBERTH is provided as a safety feature in every SCHUBERTH motorcycle helmet. It ensures that the chinstrap is closed and correctly adjusted:

  • The helmet cannot pivot off the head from behind
  • The risk of contact between the chin section of the helmet and the chin or throat of the rider is minimized due to the small angle of tilt
  • The consequences of the helmet coming into contact with the chest as the result of an accident are reduced
  • Precise setting of the chinstrap length through adjustment on both sides
  • Micro-lock ratchet lock

The EasyChange visor mechanism makes changing visors extremely quick and simple without use of tools.

  • City position offers maximum ventilation while traveling at slower speeds
  • Pinlock visor prevents shield from fogging

DOT and ECE certified.

Schuberth C3 Pro Helmet - Solid 4.6 5 302 302
Headache The helmet is mostly fine. Noise level isn't drastically better than other helmets, but better than some. The helmet fits fine and feels like every other helmet I've worn. But after about an hour in it, i start to feel pressure in the center of my head, right above my hair line, which eventually turns into a distracting headache. So, I bought it for a touring helmet, but it's really only usable for short trips. June 24, 2016
very good helmet If you pocket can afford this C3 Pro, it is well worth the money. The helmet is very quite, much more than my last one. It is easy to replace the visor and upgrade to the SRC system that is built into the neck roll. Love the flat blue color. June 18, 2016
Good, but not great - Over-rated noise level This is a good helmet, it would be fantastic and meet expectations if it wasn't $800 dollars. As far as expensive helmets go, I think these Schuberth modular helmets are a bit over-rated simply because I think the noise levels are louder than advertised unless your in ideal conditions. The weird thing is, is that this helmet is louder behind most wind-screens than it is when i'm riding a naked bike. Any wind buffetting on any of my bikes greatly increases helmet wind noise for me. I have several helmets and they all have reduced wind noise behind a screen - this helmet is a bit of an anomoly in this case. Other than the noise level, I think the fit and finish if this helmet is second to none. June 7, 2016
Schuberth C3 Pro - quieter again! For the last 4 years I have used the C3 (not pro) all around the world. Its lasted extremely well and coped with all sorts of conditions and scenarios. But a recent floor drop meant that I really needed to replace it. I looked at others, but I had to go back to Schuberth again - with the later C3 Pro model. They say its got better airflow - it does. They say its quieter - it is, and they say its a better flit - and it is. Small upgrades across the board and its a better helmet. In fact, I would also say its actually a bit less prone to the small vibrations and gusts on the freeway. Expensive in comparison with others, but its way better - and worth every cent / penny. Worth what it cost When I bought mi first Schuberth C3 two years ago, I was in doubt about the price, 'cause it seemed to be a little expensive. Sadly (and also painfully) I had an accident on January and ... nothing happened to my head (I wish I can say the same about the rest of my body :P) It is simple. It worked! Now, the new Schuberth Pro C3 offers the same level of protection, with better ventilation and noise reduction. Definitively, my option (hope I never have to proof again its shock resistance) May 17, 2016
Nice, but not worth the price I received this helmet as a gift and while it's nice in some ways, I'm not sure I would buy it myself. Cons: -Very loud, lots of wind roar and buffeting -Non-removable chin dam -Build quality issues with sun visor Pros: -Very light -Ratcheting chin strap -Slim shell size -Good venting This helmet is VERY loud, with significant wind roar and buffeting around the brow and nose/chin area. It's possible this is a function of the interaction between my specific bike/windshield and the helmet, but I have two other modular helmets from different manufacturers and neither of them exhibit the wind turbulence noise and buffeting that this Schuberth helmet does. There also seem to be some build quality issues regarding the internal sun visor. I've been wearing the helmet for three months now for daily commuting, and the drop down sun visor sometimes makes a screeching/scraping sound when being retracted the last 1" into the helmet, like it's rubbing on something internally. There are two parallel scratches that have developed on the sun visor itself that seem to confirm this, although they are fairly light and do not impede vision (see picture) The chin dam is frustratingly not removable, which makes this helmet very unpleasant to wear in hot weather. A removable chin dam is a feature of nearly every other modular helmets (many of which cost less than half what this Schuberth does), so why they decided to make theirs fixed I'm not sure. There are some nice things about this helmet. It's light, very light. Noticeably lighter than my other modular helmets, and the overall dimensions are significantly smaller as well. The ratcheting chin strap is a blessed upgrade from D-rings, and the ventilation ports on the top and chin of the helmet are extremely effective (although they make the already loud helmet even louder when open). However, for the price I would have expected much better. I would not recommend this helmet. June 28, 2016
Updated review I've ridden with this helmet for several thousand miles in heavy rain, high winds, snow and now i'm suffering through the blight of summer time FOD. (Flying objects & debris) The positives: The stock lid allows lots of airflow but there is very little if any seal around the bottom, so if any stuff is floating about in the air, it's highly likely to enter your helmet and blind you. The vent designs in this helmet is impressive and simple. Very light, the lightest helmet I have ever held in my hands. The fit on mine is solid, doesn't wiggle. The negatives: The fit is perhaps a tad tighter than i'd like but the neck padding wears down enough over time to allow easier entry. I would recommend those who have had experience with Shoei, go one size larger than is recommended in a equivalent Schubert size if this the helmet you feel you must own. The amount of noise in the helmet is not much better to my own ears than my very old (and much cheaper) shoei helmet that it replaced. The anthracite blue is what I chose, I am finding it difficult to keep it clean, dirt appears to stick to it and it's prone to scuff marks. The front of my face mask during the spring/summer months so far, looks like an all you can eat buffet for frogs. The lack of a proper seal around the top and bottom parts of the lid causing objects (FOD) to invade the interior of the helmet and potentially blind the rider (has happened a few times already) is a serious concern. I have had bugs, rain, bits of ice and other Debri go inside my helmet, it's almost caused some accidents. It's far more common than it was for my Shoei helmet (it had a very good seal around all sides). A minor Nitpick is that the skin of the modular helmet around the hinge joints is semi lose and occasionally rattles as the wind catches on it while moving at speed. I'll keep this one but I can't honestly recommend them due to the safety issue and the very high prices. The com systems should have been included if they are going to charge this much money. At 750+ dollars, these other items are a deal breaker and inexcusable. I really wanted to love this but only managing a lukewarm response to it after extended use and will not be buying another Schuberth in the future. May 13, 2016
Great Fit This is one great helmet for fit and comfort. I have 2 Shoei's, a Neotec and Jcruise. It is slightly quieter than both but still need to wear ear plugs. I have noticed that the sun visor vibrates some what when the face shield is up. Not an issue with the Shoei's. I have 2 bikes and this will not be an issue when I ride my Ultra. Now my pet peeve. The neck roll has some cheap plastic retaining pins. When I received the helmet I had found one broken. Made some new spares out of aluminum. Ordered a spare from Rev. I want to say to Revzilla what an outstanding job on shipping. I got my helmet in 2 days. Awesome guys...Thank-You June 26, 2016
