Schuberth C3 Pro Racing Helmet

The new Schuberth C3 Pro has been redesigned to improve on the original C3, which was already one of the quietest and most technologically advanced helmets ever produced.

The rear spoiler, which has been further optimized in extensive wind tunnel testing, turns the C3 Pro into a real sport helmet which also demonstrates outstanding aerodynamic properties at high speeds in excess of 100 mph. With its enhanced aeroacoustics of 82 dB(A) at 100 km/h the C3 Pro is one of the quietest helmets in the world. The C3 Pro also incorporates two integrated antennas for increased ranges and better FM radio reception – prepared for the fully integrated communication unit SRC-System. The inner lining, made of carefully selected materials such as COOLMAX, Interpower and Thermocool, has been extensively re-shaped and redesigned and sets new benchmarks with respect to comfort.

New or Updated Features:

  • Redesigned shell is more aerodynamic and provided more downforce at higher speeds with little buffeting
  • Interior helmet sound levels have been reduced to 82 dB(A) at 60 mph {C3 84 dB(A)}
  • Interior liner has been completely redesigned with fewer seams and a more universal, interior fit
  • Improved EPS with integrated antenna for SRC-System which improves radio and Bluetooth range
  • New micro-lock ratchet chin strap
  • Larger reflective panels on neckroll
  • Improved faceshield ratcheting
  • Integrated sun visor has a new look and improved quality

Acoustics:

A quiet helmet means active safety for the motorcyclist. This permits the rider to concentrate on riding – particularly at higher speeds. Many hours in the Schuberth acoustics wind tunnel have ensured that the C3 Pro is quiet. The comprehensive acoustics package with optimized helmet shell, wind deflector and ergonomic shape of the neck padding make the C3 Pro – at 82 dBA – one of the quietest helmets of all.

  • Acoustics package makes helmet quiet
  • Installation of a wind deflector enables the aeroacoustics and consequently the noise level to be improved still further.
  • Only 82dB(A) at 100 km per hour (with naked bikes)

Outer Shell:

The outer shell of the Schuberth C3 Pro is offered in two helmet shell sizes and combines an aerodynamically optimal shape with excellent protection. It is manufactured using Schuberth's typical compression molding process and thus permits great stability and a low weight.

  • Shell material: S.T.R.O.N.G. fiber
  • Helmet shell technology from SCHUBERTH permits low weight
  • Glass fiber with a special resin added is compressed in a vacuum at high pressure to form a helmet shell which is exceptionally sturdy
  • Perfected aerodynamics for higher speeds
  • Upward lift = 0!
  • Directionally stable
  • No oscillatory tendency
  • No buffeting
  • Spoiler integrated into the helmet shell

SRC-System Ready:

The C3 Pro is by default equipped to accommodate the SCHUBERTH SRC-System C3 Pro (sold separately). To guarantee ideal radio reception for you, the C3 Pro is already equipped with two integrated antennas to boost reception and a Bluetooth® connection.

  • Optimum reception at all times
  • Bluetooth antenna for wireless mobile, GPS and intercom connections to other SRC-System owners
  • FM and Bluetooth antennas integrated into the helmet for optimum reception

EPS:

The helmet shell of special EPS foam is modular in design to ensure optimal shock absorption. This complex segmentation guarantees enhanced force absorption and distribution and maximum safety.

  • Made of specially optimized EPS foam
  • Complex multizone foaming allows optimal shock absorption

Inner Lining:

A special inner lining of the C3 Pro which was developed according to the innovative Comfort Fit concept ensures that the helmet fits comfortably and securely in all situations. The combination of carefully selected COOLMAX and Thermocool materials and the additional use of Interpower coatings also make the inner lining a highly-effective moisture removal and cooling system.

  • COOLMAX pad system, completely removable and washable (hand wash, 30°C)
  • Optimized fit
  • Variable for effective ventilation
  • Adjustable for summer/winter
  • Allergen-free
  • Antibacterial
  • Removable comfort cheek pads and head band pads

Ventilation:

The C3 Pro is equipped with a further development of the proven C3 ventilation system. Thanks to the new design of the ventilation elements, the supply of fresh air is increased by up to 60%. The combination of multipath channels in the EPS foam shell and the head/chin/mouth ventilation  ensure that fresh air is distributed effectively over the entire head area.

A.R.O.S. and Neck Strap:

The Anti-Roll-Off System (A.R.O.S.) especially developed by SCHUBERTH is provided as a safety feature in every SCHUBERTH motorcycle helmet. It ensures that the chinstrap is closed and correctly adjusted:

  • The helmet cannot pivot off the head from behind
  • The risk of contact between the chin section of the helmet and the chin or throat of the rider is minimized due to the small angle of tilt
  • The consequences of the helmet coming into contact with the chest as the result of an accident are reduced
  • Precise setting of the chinstrap length through adjustment on both sides
  • Micro-lock ratchet lock

Faceshield:

The EasyChange visor mechanism makes changing visors extremely quick and simple without use of tools.

  • City position offers maximum ventilation while traveling at slower speeds
  • Pinlock visor prevents shield from fogging

Schuberth C3 Pro Helmet - Solid 4.6 5 294 294
Worth what it cost When I bought mi first Schuberth C3 two years ago, I was in doubt about the price, 'cause it seemed to be a little expensive. Sadly (and also painfully) I had an accident on January and ... nothing happened to my head (I wish I can say the same about the rest of my body :P) It is simple. It worked! Now, the new Schuberth Pro C3 offers the same level of protection, with better ventilation and noise reduction. Definitively, my option (hope I never have to proof again its shock resistance) May 17, 2016
Updated review I've ridden with this helmet for several thousand miles in heavy rain, high winds, snow and now i'm suffering through the blight of summer time FOD. (Flying objects & debris) The positives: The stock lid allows lots of airflow but there is very little if any seal around the bottom, so if any stuff is floating about in the air, it's highly likely to enter your helmet and blind you. The vent designs in this helmet is impressive and simple. Very light, the lightest helmet I have ever held in my hands. The fit on mine is solid, doesn't wiggle. The negatives: The fit is perhaps a tad tighter than i'd like but the neck padding wears down enough over time to allow easier entry. I would recommend those who have had experience with Shoei, go one size larger than is recommended in a equivalent Schubert size if this the helmet you feel you must own. The amount of noise in the helmet is not much better to my own ears than my very old (and much cheaper) shoei helmet that it replaced. The anthracite blue is what I chose, I am finding it difficult to keep it clean, dirt appears to stick to it and it's prone to scuff marks. The front of my face mask during the spring/summer months so far, looks like an all you can eat buffet for frogs. The lack of a proper seal around the top and bottom parts of the lid causing objects (FOD) to invade the interior of the helmet and potentially blind the rider (has happened a few times already) is a serious concern. I have had bugs, rain, bits of ice and other Debri go inside my helmet, it's almost caused some accidents. It's far more common than it was for my Shoei helmet (it had a very good seal around all sides). A minor Nitpick is that the skin of the modular helmet around the hinge joints is semi lose and occasionally rattles as the wind catches on it while moving at speed. I'll keep this one but I can't honestly recommend them due to the safety issue and the very high prices. The com systems should have been included if they are going to charge this much money. At 750+ dollars, these other items are a deal breaker and inexcusable. I really wanted to love this but only managing a lukewarm response to it after extended use and will not be buying another Schuberth in the future. May 13, 2016
Mostly Impressed I went for it, the $800 helmet. I am impressed with the design and workmanship, and it fits me nicely, so all is well. Very quiet as advertised, but also very smooth while riding. No buffeting to speak of, and great in choppy air. A few items that I wish were better, for me at least: If you want to know what goes into an $800 helmet, one place to find it is the lining of a C3 Pro. Wow. There is a world of intricate workmanship in there. Very impressive, but it meant a lot of stuff under my jaw. I had to do some trimming. Also trimmed is some padding where my glasses pass through. (It's nerve-wracking cutting up your new C3, but it's much better now.) And lastly, the "Urban" visor setting (the lowest notch) is way too high for my taste. I would like it to be about 1/4" open, and it's closer to 3/4". For me, it's hard to ride with that much open. Otherwise, it's a beauty. May 9, 2016
Best helmet I've ever owned Brief summary: 20 years riding experience, always using full-faced helmets. This helmet is bar none, the most exceptionally constructed and comfortable helmet I have ever owned. Details: When I first started seeing the modular helmets, I was disgusted. I couldn't believe how dumb / silly they looked. I would see these old guys wearing these helmets, and I would laugh to myself as I ripped by them on my sport bikes with my racing helmets, and my attitude. Man, how things have changed. Let me 'splain a little... I have a 59cm head, and bought a size large. Revzilla doesn't have it right now, but I bought the "North America" C3 Pro in black, and everyone that sees it loves it. This helmet has all the features and comfort you could ever want in a helmet. It has the flip-down visor when it's sunny out, the full-face flip for kissing the wife or getting a drink without taking your helmet off, the unique strap which can be operated with a single hand, and the QUIET in this helmet is amazing! I put a Sena 20s Bluetooth on this helmet, and I can listen / chat, and ride all day long WITHOUT ear plugs which I have ridden with for more than 20 years. At 95mph, this helmet barely even makes noise compared to my other helmets. At < 65, you can't hear anything but your exhaust. Perfect. Only complaint is that my neck is a little larger than most, and I have to loosen the strap just a bit so that I don't feel it on my throat / Adam's apple area when I look down. No issues when riding though. Buy the helmet. Forget about your racing helmets - they suck for comfort and quiet compared to this and you're not really a racer anyways, are you?!! May 9, 2016
Replace Shoei Neotec with Schuberth I purchased a Shoei Neotec and had the strangest issue with my right ear/upper jaw hurting tremendously. Was never sure what caused the pain, but after two hours of riding the pain was debilitating and pulling off the helmet was really bad. I purchased the C3 Pro with the Sena 10U and immediately felt that the fit was better. The C3 Pro shape better suits my head and is very comfortable. I also found that the C3 Pro is a quieter helmet then the Neotec. The only thing that the Shoei does much better than the C3 Pro is the tab to flip up the module face shield. The C3 tab is both harder to find and harder to "work" to get it opened. The Sena 10U with the 20 U speakers is definitely a sonic improvement over the speakers used on the Neotek (10U speakers). I know it's not either manufacturer's fault and that it is ear opening size. The main difference between the Neotek and C3 is the battery pack which protrudes a bit more on the C3 then the Shoei. Good Helmet the fit its the biggest they have and its tight. the lens fogs all the time so i have to crack it open to keep it clear. I like the strap locking device. very easy to clip on. overall its a good product. I'm in Alaska so it keeps my ears warm. May 4, 2016
You have no idea what you're missing If you haven't worn this helmet yet, you're missing out. I upgraded from an older 08' Arai helmet (which I loved) and this C3 Pro blows it out of the water. Once you put the helmet on it's like sticking your head in a sound booth; super quiet! The helmet is extremely light and the aerodynamics are excellent. (I ride a 15' monster 1200s) Try it, you'll love it. The only complaint I have is it took me three helmets from Revzilla to get one which I thought was acceptable. The first was too big, the second was damaged. The third was just right... except for the inner sun visor had a blemish which Revzilla replaced for free (warranty). April 28, 2016
Great Fit This helmet fits great and is very comfortable to wear. When I measured my head I was in between a large and XL so I ordered a XL to be safe and it was too big. Revzilla was very helpful with the exchange and since it was my first purchase they waived the return shipping cost. April 12, 2016
