Schuberth C3 Pro Racing Helmet

The new Schuberth C3 Pro has been redesigned to improve on the original C3, which was already one of the quietest and most technologically advanced helmets ever produced.

The rear spoiler, which has been further optimized in extensive wind tunnel testing, turns the C3 Pro into a real sport helmet which also demonstrates outstanding aerodynamic properties at high speeds in excess of 100 mph. With its enhanced aeroacoustics of 82 dB(A) at 100 km/h the C3 Pro is one of the quietest helmets in the world. The C3 Pro also incorporates two integrated antennas for increased ranges and better FM radio reception – prepared for the fully integrated communication unit SRC-System. The inner lining, made of carefully selected materials such as COOLMAX, Interpower and Thermocool, has been extensively re-shaped and redesigned and sets new benchmarks with respect to comfort.

New or Updated Features:

  • Redesigned shell is more aerodynamic and provided more downforce at higher speeds with little buffeting
  • Interior helmet sound levels have been reduced to 82 dB(A) at 60 mph {C3 84 dB(A)}
  • Interior liner has been completely redesigned with fewer seams and a more universal, interior fit
  • Improved EPS with integrated antenna for SRC-System which improves radio and Bluetooth range
  • New micro-lock ratchet chin strap
  • Larger reflective panels on neckroll
  • Improved faceshield ratcheting
  • Integrated sun visor has a new look and improved quality

A quiet helmet means active safety for the motorcyclist. This permits the rider to concentrate on riding – particularly at higher speeds. Many hours in the Schuberth acoustics wind tunnel have ensured that the C3 Pro is quiet. The comprehensive acoustics package with optimized helmet shell, wind deflector and ergonomic shape of the neck padding make the C3 Pro – at 82 dBA – one of the quietest helmets of all.

  • Acoustics package makes helmet quiet
  • Installation of a wind deflector enables the aeroacoustics and consequently the noise level to be improved still further.
  • Only 82dB(A) at 100 km per hour (with naked bikes)

Outer Shell:

The outer shell of the Schuberth C3 Pro is offered in two helmet shell sizes and combines an aerodynamically optimal shape with excellent protection. It is manufactured using Schuberth's typical compression molding process and thus permits great stability and a low weight.

  • Shell material: S.T.R.O.N.G. fiber
  • Helmet shell technology from SCHUBERTH permits low weight
  • Glass fiber with a special resin added is compressed in a vacuum at high pressure to form a helmet shell which is exceptionally sturdy
  • Perfected aerodynamics for higher speeds
  • Upward lift = 0!
  • Directionally stable
  • No oscillatory tendency
  • No buffeting
  • Spoiler integrated into the helmet shell

SRC-System Ready:

The C3 Pro is by default equipped to accommodate the SCHUBERTH SRC-System C3 Pro (sold separately). To guarantee ideal radio reception for you, the C3 Pro is already equipped with two integrated antennas to boost reception and a Bluetooth® connection.

  • Optimum reception at all times
  • Bluetooth antenna for wireless mobile, GPS and intercom connections to other SRC-System owners
  • FM and Bluetooth antennas integrated into the helmet for optimum reception

The helmet shell of special EPS foam is modular in design to ensure optimal shock absorption. This complex segmentation guarantees enhanced force absorption and distribution and maximum safety.

  • Made of specially optimized EPS foam
  • Complex multizone foaming allows optimal shock absorption

Inner Lining:

A special inner lining of the C3 Pro which was developed according to the innovative Comfort Fit concept ensures that the helmet fits comfortably and securely in all situations. The combination of carefully selected COOLMAX and Thermocool materials and the additional use of Interpower coatings also make the inner lining a highly-effective moisture removal and cooling system.

  • COOLMAX pad system, completely removable and washable (hand wash, 30°C)
  • Optimized fit
  • Variable for effective ventilation
  • Adjustable for summer/winter
  • Allergen-free
  • Antibacterial
  • Removable comfort cheek pads and head band pads

The C3 Pro is equipped with a further development of the proven C3 ventilation system. Thanks to the new design of the ventilation elements, the supply of fresh air is increased by up to 60%. The combination of multipath channels in the EPS foam shell and the head/chin/mouth ventilation  ensure that fresh air is distributed effectively over the entire head area.

A.R.O.S. and Neck Strap:

The Anti-Roll-Off System (A.R.O.S.) especially developed by SCHUBERTH is provided as a safety feature in every SCHUBERTH motorcycle helmet. It ensures that the chinstrap is closed and correctly adjusted:

  • The helmet cannot pivot off the head from behind
  • The risk of contact between the chin section of the helmet and the chin or throat of the rider is minimized due to the small angle of tilt
  • The consequences of the helmet coming into contact with the chest as the result of an accident are reduced
  • Precise setting of the chinstrap length through adjustment on both sides
  • Micro-lock ratchet lock

The EasyChange visor mechanism makes changing visors extremely quick and simple without use of tools.

  • City position offers maximum ventilation while traveling at slower speeds
  • Pinlock visor prevents shield from fogging

Schuberth C3 Pro Helmet - Solid 4.6 5 311 311
All is Not What it Seems The Helmet itself is a little snug an hurts my ears after about 2 hours. The airflow is non-existent, there is no exit vent so you can feel the air enter the helmet initially, but it stays there, heats up and then your head is just hot with no additional flow. Yes, you can call in and they'll have you fold back small tabs of the liner back covering the holes, no change. I even cut them off completely, no change. NO AIR FLOW! Something to consider that the piece of this helmet most prone to needing replacement is the face shield, which is $89 for a clear shield. When you buy a $600 helmet and the face shield replacement alone is about 1/6th of the entire price... they gouge you to death with the face shield. The SRC system is where they really take you to the cleaners. Any updates needed to change settings, etc and you have to go to a specific website for this, which is IN GERMAN ONLY! Brilliant, right? Any call to support is extremely limited, Mon - Fri during business hours only - so you would literally have to take time off of work just to get tech support. I did this... he said he would research a method of updating the device on a non-German website, and he never called back. NEVER. So if you buy this, you're on your own. They also play the "go to your retailer for support" game. So this way, nobody has to take ownership of your issue. So again, if you buy either the helmet or the SRC for this helmet, you're on your own. Good luck. August 14, 2016
great helmet No doubt a great product all around! This is my first Schuberth helmet but I will no doubt be getting more! July 26, 2016
Very snug! Very snug! Ordered the gray shield. Seals off air well. Would like it to be a bit quieter, but will suffice! July 19, 2016
Great purchase Purchased this helmet last year and it has well been worth the money. 2 weeks ago, I took a nasty spill in the mountains tumbling over rocks. The helmet held up great only leaving me with a bruise on my forehead. Will be purchasing another one here very soon. July 1, 2016
top notch helmet, not a lot to complain about. very quiet and comfortable with lots of well managed airflow. this is a compilation of reviews for this helmet i did for my riders group, these are thoughts ive posted over a few months time , its long but fully detailed #1 AIR this thing flows more and better air than any lid Ive used, the top vent is good you can feel air incoming on a 72 degree day. the front vent flows nearly too much it really puts a lot of air in your face and its on/off no adjustment. I have a gmax gm58 which was webbike worlds pick of the year that has like 7 big vents on it, this works better. #2 fit, medium fits my 57cm head a bit tight, 57 falls in the medium range but its well fitted shall we say, if in between sizes definitely go up. ‪#‎3 fit‬ and finish, fit and finish are what you would expect from a lid in this price range, that is to say perfect. the liner feels like the stuff another premium maker that starts with a A used to use, very soft and comfortable. no loose threads no loose snaps or other things that you find on lower end helmets. the people with jay leno-esqe jawlines are gonna have problems, its tight going on and off and with the top swinging down and the built in chin curtain doesnt leave a lot of room forward. you will learn to pull outward on the straps going on or off or have stinging ears. really stable in airflow, standing in full airflow at 80mph I twisted my head up and down and sideways full range of motion and couldnt get it to to pull or buffet. #4 noise, supposed to be the quietest lid on the market, is OK a little quieter than my shoei qwest but not the end all be all super quiet thing. its good but not outstanding on noise. odd whistle on left side where the wind will catch the inner shield mechanism. doesnt do it constantly just in rough air behind trucks mostly. theres a little extra noise with the top vent open and the front makes a whoosh sound, but given the amount of air that flows thru the front vent some noise is a given. ill live with a bit of noise for the amount of air this thing puts inside on your face. Overall I have to rate it as overall as a really good helmet. the price is eye watering but you would pay that for a top line arai or shoei and you get a built in sun visor and a flip front so its price comparable with other premium helmets. dont regret spending the $$ on it after the first day. time will tell if it holds up to its initial promise. i need to get my sena 20s mounted on it if I can find the sticky mount and see how that affects the overall noise levels. update 1. have to add, got out on the klr today and did the standup test, with much less shield and clean air going over it it is the quietest helmet i've ever ridden. if i needed a lid to ride a naked bike this is the one i would buy just for that aspect of it. i thought the claims of super quiet were BS, its not it really is quiet in clean airflow. a 2nd update, i rode this lid to the national rally in helen ga.and back , a weeks worth of riding 2000 miles in between. it holds up to its promise. only issue is the ear pockets for speakers and my sena 20s. the speakers are not especially thin and the cutout pockets arent quite deep enough, thought it was good to go at first but after a few hours they press in too much making my ears hurt. ill have to take out maybe 3mm of foam and get them further away from my ears. other than that no issues, no fogging with the pinlock in and given the amount of air flowing thru the chin vent i dont see it being an issue anyway. the ability to swing the front up and get some air on your face while trolling thru town is great. leave the inner visor down and no bugs in the eyes. this also works on the highway behind a big shield but its not recommended, theres even a sticker on the helmet saying dont ride with it up. August 11, 2016
Headache The helmet is mostly fine. Noise level isn't drastically better than other helmets, but better than some. The helmet fits fine and feels like every other helmet I've worn. But after about an hour in it, i start to feel pressure in the center of my head, right above my hair line, which eventually turns into a distracting headache. So, I bought it for a touring helmet, but it's really only usable for short trips. June 24, 2016
very good helmet If you pocket can afford this C3 Pro, it is well worth the money. The helmet is very quite, much more than my last one. It is easy to replace the visor and upgrade to the SRC system that is built into the neck roll. Love the flat blue color. June 18, 2016
