Sargent World Sport Performance Seat Yamaha FJR1300 2006-2015
I am very happy with these seats. I am going to divide this review in four sections, to better explain the reasons why I feel very satisfied with this product.
Comfort: First a fair clarification. Not all butts are created equal, meaning that, what works for mine, not necessarily will work the same for everybody else’s. I find this seat very comfortable. With the stock seat, I couldn’t ride more than 150 miles without having to take a break. Since I bought these seats, I have taken two long trips, and each time I have been able to ride 10 hour days, stopping only to refuel, use the restroom and eat. They are wider and firmer than the stock seats.
Fit and finish: I think these seats are really pretty and they fit on the bike like a glove. Very easy to install. They blend perfectly with the motorcycle. Quality and materials are very good. In my opinion, they look much better that the Russel or the Laam. (see the pictures I uploaded)
Price and value: I paid $494,05 for the seats, minus a $20 credit for a future purchase at Revzilla, total of $474.05, plus free shipping. The dual, all-vinyl Russell costs $605, plus both ways shipping $95, total of $700. The dual all-vinyl Laam is $439, plus one way shipping $40, total $479. Another very important fact is that, with the Sargent seats, you get to keep the stock seats, which are very expensive.
Convenience and service: I got these seats in 3 days. With the other two brands, you place the order and then, need to seat back and wait for 2 to 4 months to get your seats. You need to send the stock seats in advance, which means you can not use the bike for a couple of weeks, at least.

Comfort, comfort, comfort....
Stock seat hurt after 50 miles. I can ride all day with no discomfort. Great product.

Way better than stock.
This seat is way better than the stock one without going to a full custom. It allows me to ride several hours without any discomfort where the stock seat was a 45 minute ride at best. I had neither the time nor money to go to a full custom seat so this is a very reasonable alternative.

With just one change, this seat would be fantastic!
Put this seat on my 2014 FJR just before a road trip of 1500+ miles through the Smoky Mountains. I never got sore, never became uncomfortable ... no complaints what so ever. The one thing that could be improved on is the passenger's seat. My other half told me that the seat was comfortable except that the cover for the optional backrest bugged her. Definitely not a deal breaker, but my Corbin on my 2006 Concours really was the perfect seat, but took forever to break in. Just wanted to try something different to see if I were missing anything. The Sargent is an excellent seat which I would recommend in a heartbeat.

A Nice Upgrade from stock
Seat fit right on out of the box. no adjustment required. It is more comfortable than stock seat. Was only able to ride an hour to an hour 1/2 with stock seat. Now 2 hours plus which was my goal. very happy....just a little slick...not a lot of "grip" is why I didn't give as high of a score on performance, finish, or durability. Given that...I would still buy it again. A nice upgrade from stock

Great upgrade, should have done it a long time ago
First service from Revzilla was second to none. Great customer service and pricing was the best out of all Internet and local sellers.
The seat mounts perfectly. I had the old seat off and the new one on in just a few minutes. Initially, the seat will seem a bit firm. Over time, it continues to soften up and provide better comfort. The Sargent seat has a cup towards the rear of the seat and keeps you a bit away from the tank. I prefer this default seating position over the OEM seat position. I always found that I was sliding towards the tank with the OEM seat.
I haven’t sat on the back seat. However, my wife tells me that it is an improvement as well.
