Best upgrade to my bike..ever This seat is about the best thing you can do to make your VFR more comfortable. The seat is MILES better than stock. The craftsmanship on mine is perfection defined. Not a stitch out of place or piece of material cut poorly. The foam is firm, but still soft on your bum. I was able to do an all day 450 mile ride last Sunday and when it was all over I had sore spots in places, but my bum and back were not one. July 28, 2014
Good seat. A bit slippery. I replaced a BMW "Comfort Seat" with this Sargent. Similar in shape and fit, but considerably more comfortable. The BMW seat was too hard and hurt after about 200 miles. Sargent is good for 300, and the discomfort after that is manageable. Only complaint is that the vinyl surface is a bit slippery during hard braking; you have to brace to avoid slipping forward. I don't ride off road, but I suspect the slipping would be annoying for that. The somewhat more expensive "enduro" model of the seat might be a better choice. July 28, 2014
No more smashed junk The original seat on the bike forced the rider into the back of the tank, thus obliterating one's package, particularly in stop and go sort of riding. The main reason I got this new seat was to remedy that, and thankfully it has. In addition to not sliding forward, I feel much better anchored to the bike through my bottom and legs in such a way that I noticed I am putting less weight on my wrists - thus giving me better feedback from the bike and better control. The fit and finish on the seat is good - I would not say it fits as well as stock because I had to smack the seat pretty hard to get it to lock into its latch. But once its on it looks good, like something that could have come from the factory. Time will tell how durable the seat is and if when it breaks in it feels even better. July 23, 2014
Easy to install, different pressure points than stock, 15 minute increase in ride time. Everyone has a different shape which makes trying different seats an expensive guessing game. I am 6'4" @ 250, 36" inseam. Seat went on easy, fit to tank not the best. Seat does not have middle clipping hooks on pan underneath which might count for some of the wiggle in the rear section. Seat is better than original but very disappointed with only small increase in comfort verses dollars spent. Item taken on test drive so it does not qualify for the return policy. I am less than impressed with my experience based on all the good reviews Sargent seats have by others. July 21, 2014
Great OEM replacement! I am really glad I went with the Sargent, it makes the Hyper more comfortable because it levels-off the seating area, you are not forced towards the tank. It did make the bike feel slightly taller but it was fine for me. I shopped price and function (thanks to Revzilla product reviews) and Revzilla was the logical place to buy. A must upgrade for your S1000R Important note - I put this seat on a S1000R not an S1000RR. the Sargent part number is the same for both bikes and the fit is exact. After having put 700 miles on my S1000R I noticed that the stock seat was pretty uncomfortable on longer rides. It has a distinct slope forwards which continually pushed me against the tank. BMW has a comfort seat available, which retails for well over $300. in my opinion this is a better option. The seating position is flatter and so you don't get pushed forward, this makes for a more comfortable ride. The finish is great, and the tag in BMW racing colours is a nice touch. Sargent seats are known for quality and comfort and this seat doesn't disappoint. July 17, 2014
Street Triple R - Seat locking post slightly misplaced The biggest headache I encountered was after putting it on it seemed to be stuck on the bike. The mounting place for the lock is just a milimeter off or something and it causes it to be difficult to lock down and difficult to remove. The trick is to turn the key and then whack the top of the pillion seat with your fist to disengage the lock. This is a bit of a pain given the seat's high price point, and many other Triumph owners complained of the same issue in forums. Oh well I can manage. The seat itself is very nice. High quality materials, foam, and ergonomically much better than stock. The stock seat is slanted too far forward for the overall ergonomics of the bike, causing you to slide into the tank when breaking or hitting bumps, this is no longer a problem. July 14, 2014
Better than expected! I have a 2013 ZX14R and am 6'4". The stock seat is supportive, but forces me forward due to the forward slant at the rear of the seat. This forward bias creates extra pressure on my wrists and knees. I bought this seat hoping to just have equal support less the forward slant. This seat does indeed eliminate the forward slant. It snaps in place just like the stock seat with a little pressure on the back portion of the seat. It is a little firm, but is easy to move around on while riding. It eases pressure on my wrists & knees due to the more level seating position. I am very happy with the purchase, as my long distance comfort has increased greatly. Also, the seat is really supportive under acceleration as it is raised higher than the stock seat at the rear of the rider's seating area for the lower back. If your not expecting miracles, but want a quality improvement from a non-custom seat, you can't go wrong with a Sargent seat. July 8, 2014

Jeffrey M: It certainly helps the passenger, puts them in a more reclined position. According to my passenger, the backrest, however, is essential. I bought the sargent backrest. You can also install a topcase with a backrest, but beware of the OEM topcase rack. Tends the cramp the rider and not compatible with the sargent backrest, which really requires the rear grab bar. I'm installing the Givi rack (and reinstalling the rear grab bar) to move the topcase up and back. Also, the passenger pegs are a bit high and tight. Thinking about lowering them. Hope this helps. Peter C: I have the Sargent seat on my GSX 650 AF and the driver's seat is much more comfortable than the OEM. However, I have nor compared the passenger seat comfort. I expect it would be better, but not as substantially as the Driver's seat.. Jun 30, 2014
