Sargent World Sport Performance Seat Kawasaki Versys 650

Continuing in the tradition of meticulously designed seating options, Sargent is pleased to offer the Sargent World Sport Performance Seat.

Utilizing advanced digital modeling, computer design techniques, precise manufacturing processes and superior materials, each World Sport seat pan is precision-molded for superior fit and outfitted with high-quality hardware. Also featuring Sargent’s signature vacuum-formed PVC acrylic alloy seat pan, this super tough, lightweight material provides an exceptional high-performance seat foundation.

Gel-Free! Each Sargent World Performance seat offers superior comfort and suspension without the thermal retention and extra weight of gel. The Super Cell Atomic Foam suspension is a unique and proprietary blend of resilience, firmness, and vibration-absorption qualities. Most stock seats suffer from a crowned shape that centralizes pressure and creates discomfort. The level, wider and slightly cupped foam shape of the Sargent World Sport Seat distributes pressure evenly and eliminates hot spots for incredible long-distance comfort.

All Sport Performance Seat features marine-grade, UV-stabilized, color-coordinated upholstery - hand sewn specifically to maximize the qualities of the Super Cell Atomic Foam.

Features:

  • Widened PVC seat pan for more lateral support
  • CarbonFX vinyl
  • Super Cell Atomic Foam for improved riding comfort
  • Eliminates forward slope and provides a more neutral seating angle for the driver
  • Made in the USA

Best upgrade so far
I bought the Versys because I wanted a bike that I could do almost anything with. I've ridden several day long road trips and after a couple hours the original seat became uncomfortable. After a long ride, my back side would hurt for a couple days. The Sargent seat looks absolutely perfect, huge improvement over the original. The foam is different than the original seat, in that it forms to my pelvis/sit bone and uncompressed is a more natural shape. I opted for the low seat, I still can't quite flat foot it, but it IS an improvement. I've been on several day long rides since getting the Sargent seat and no more hurting butt. I've done a few other upgrades to my bike, but I now wish I would have got this seat sooner. This seat isn't a cheap upgrade, but it was worth it.

Good seat
I bought a 2015 Kawasaki versys 650 the seat was very soft but really uncomfortable on long rides. This seat so far is far better then my factory seat. I out it on and took a drive my tail bone no longer hurts and i am not always looking for the right spot in it. Very well made and took care of my tail bone problem.

Best upgrade on the Versys
The stock seat is designed to be *very* comfortable... in the dealership, for 10 minutes. After that, and for long rides, it doesn't cut it.
The Sargent is narrower up front, making it easier to flatfoot the bike. The material is very durable (not my first Sargent), and it's slightly firmer, and slightly wider - improvements in just the right places, over the stocker. I've ridden all day - 7 hour trips, with no fatigue, soreness, or need to 'walk it off.'
Great seat!
(Would be nice if this seat had the under-seat storage cylinder, as my Sargent for another bike did).

Night and day difference
It cured the forward slope, it looks great and after 3 hrs straight in the saddle I'm glad I made the purchase. One of the best purchases I've made for my Versys.

Better than stock, but expensive.
Bought this for my Versys 650. I hated the stock seat. On the stock, I felt tilted into the tank, and positioned in a way where I sat directly on top of my balls. It took 90% of the joy out of the ride.

No question, the Sargent is a better seat. I'm tilted a little back, and it feels much wider. That being said, I'm still right on the tank, and it hasn't solved the problem of feeling crowded on the seat.

It's an improvement, but not a slam dunk, potentially not worth the $$. Also, MINE DID NOT HAVE A DOCUMENT HOLDER AS ADVERTISED.

Wonderful seat
Wonderfully made seat in every aspect. Hoped that it would lower me on my Versys so I could reach the ground better...it did the trick! So happy with this purchase! Thanks.

Great seat
Just completed 1500 mile trip after purchase. Seat was everything other reviews stated. Can't address durability at this point. Low version seat does lower you some, maybe 1/2 to 1 inch. Very pleased with purchase and workmanship is excellent.

sore butt
This made it better but not buy a lot. The product is worth the money but if you are swapping out seats it is to much money for a little better one. Does not latch in as easy as stock. Stock one hour ride now two hour ride with this one. I did notice better balance with it.

Does this seat eliminate the forward slope on the Versys 650? That's my only gripe about the stock seat but sliding forward completely ruins the ride for me
Justin C on Jun 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have the 2015 Versys and I believe it does eliminate the forward slope of the stock seat. The Sargent seat is also noticeably firmer (which I like).
Is the passenger seat for the Sargent Versys 650 saddle flatter, wider and less forward sloping?
Tom D on Jul 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It leans forward about the same. The seat has a dip in the middle for the tailbone though. It is a very comfy seat though better then the stock can ride for hours.
please advise, how many inch does the low version seat lower the overall seat height? for 2015 Kawasaki versys 650.
Peng C on May 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I bought the standard height seat. That said, it's still a much better seat than the stock seat and I'd recommend it to anyone. Call Revzilla and asking the experts. They'll be able to help you.
