Sargent World Sport Performance Seat Ducati 696
Great upgrade for my 696
The stock seat on the 696 is actually pretty good but has a forward slope that funnels you into the tank so the flatter Sargent allows more room to move around and less pressure in sensitive areas. The covering is a bit slick so won't prevent you from sliding into the tank under braking but this seat was definitely a step up over stock. 350+ mile days are no issue with just a bit of soreness that no seat could ever honestly eliminate. Can't speak to durability because I've only had it for a week but my prior experience with Sargent seats tells me that they do scuff pretty easily so care should be taken when swinging a leg over it.

Great Fitment, Great Comfort
The seat over all fits great, looks great and eliminates the sliding down the seat until your genitalia is up against the tank in a very uncomfortable fashion. I got the Low seat and I am 6'0" and my knees are perfectly in the cut outs of the side of the tank. I would recommend this seat to anyone. I read online a ton about Ducati performance seats and everyone still said that they slid you down into the tank. So let me sum all that up so not everyone has to read as much as I did. Buy this seat.
I bought this seat for my Monster 1100 Evo. The 1100 is equipped with the exhaust flapper valve servo up under the seat. The 696 is not and if you buy the seat for the 696 you get the under seat storage with the flapper valve removed (RevZilla sells the eliminator too! ;-)
RevZilla, I would suggest posting this review on not only the 696 seat but the 796/1100 fitment seat. It fits perfectly without the servo (no cutting or anything needed) and you get the under seat storage for stock tools and what not.

Seat is a bit wider and keeps you from sliding into the tank, so it makes long rides more comfortable. I rode for 5 hours and had no problems. Where as with the stock seat I would find myself shifting around trying to find a comfortable spot about 30 minutes.

Expensive, but does the job...
As many Ducati 696 owners know, the stock seat is great, except that it slopes forward making it uncomfortable and annoying to ride with. This seat is very different. It sits flat from front to back, so no more "sliding" toward the tank. It's comfortable because of the way it's shaped, but it does have limited padding, so it's definitely not soft and cushy. I like the seat a lot and I'm glad I purchased it, but it's pretty expensive for what it is.

Rohan S:The seat is for a 696 ducati my partner rides this bike she is 5 foot tall the seat is not only 2 inches lower it contours the body shape so yes it is as good as you could get the rear cowl bolts strait back on the fitting takes about 30 minutes the red stitch goes well with the red bike , it is far better than the oem seat as you don't slide around

Travis, I've had Sargents in the past, and the cushioning is bike dependent. I swapped out a V-Strom seat for a Sargent, and my saddle time went from an hour at a stretch to all day... The reason wasn't so much the cushioning, as the contouring, which was better thought out, and better adapted to more time on the bike (wider butt, narrower front). I was no longer perpetually sliding into the tank, due to the more upright "nose" on the Sargent. Additionally, the under seat storage is a *huge* plus on the Sargent... Like anything else, YMMV...
