It makes more of a diff for the better than I thought it would.
I was skeptical as to how much a seat would be noticed by my butt and upper hamstrings. Seems expensive where I come from, but now that I am well off, I can risk the money to find out for myself what an aftermarket seat is all about. I believe that the price is low for the product I received. Huge bang for the buck at MSRP and even more at Revzilla. The seats latched in firmly, more than the stock front and rear did. The best part about the front and rear both, for the 2012 Yamaha FZ1, is the concave or bowl design that keeps me in place. Didn't realize how much the stock seat slid me toward the tank until I sat on the Sargent. Its wider from left to right of my centerline aka my crack and spreads my weight more evenly to relieve pressure on my lower butt and upper groin and upper hamstrings. The material and fit and finish is excellent. The rear seat seems a lot better for a passenger or cargo net load because of, as I stated earlier, the concave design. I do not carry passengers though, just small bags on my tail seat. I assume a passenger would feel more secure as well. Its a noticeable improvement if you can afford it. Wish I would've got it sooner than I did. My riding position is better too and that takes stress off of my body and mind as I ride. Legit 5 star rating.

Better than expected!
I have a 2013 ZX14R and am 6'4". The stock seat is supportive, but forces me forward due to the forward slant at the rear of the seat. This forward bias creates extra pressure on my wrists and knees. I bought this seat hoping to just have equal support less the forward slant. This seat does indeed eliminate the forward slant. It snaps in place just like the stock seat with a little pressure on the back portion of the seat. It is a little firm, but is easy to move around on while riding. It eases pressure on my wrists & knees due to the more level seating position. I am very happy with the purchase, as my long distance comfort has increased greatly. Also, the seat is really supportive under acceleration as it is raised higher than the stock seat at the rear of the rider's seating area for the lower back. If your not expecting miracles, but want a quality improvement from a non-custom seat, you can't go wrong with a Sargent seat.

James C:Sargent makes seats for the BMW K1200 bikes - maybe check the Sargent website and once you are sure they make a version for your year model, then call RevZilla and ask if they have it ... they are usually drop shipped directly from Sargent. I have a Sargent on my 2012 BMW f650gs (800cc) and find it to be really comfortable. If it is an option, you may want to consider the heated version.Jun 16, 2014
William C:I bought a Sargent seat for my Honda ST1300 in 2012. It's the most comfortable seat I've ever had on a motorcycle. Revzilla's price was lower than other companies and the shipment arrived in just a few days. I think you will be happy with the seat for your BMW.Jun 17, 2014
Daniel M:I've got the same seat for my sv650, yes. The pros to the seat are it's great quality, durable, and quite comfy. The only con is that the for wasn't perfect on my bike, I really had to work it to get the screw holes to line up properly. But overall a good seat. Jun 16, 2014
