Sargent Seat KLR 650 I love this seat. It feels wider and eliminates the pain caused by the stock seat. It makes the bike feel taller - but that's ok for me as I am tall. March 23, 2015
Easily installed, a perfect fit, looks beautiful, comfortable. I have a 32 inch inside leg. This low height KLR650 Sargent seat has transformed my commuting ride in terms of safety; I can now plant both feet flat on the ground at a standstill. No more tip-toeing. Installation took 15 mins. The clean lines of this seat transform the appearance of the bike. I shall not miss the OEM seat at all. My Sargent seat is comfortable and well made. I am very happy with this product. Delivery was efficient. January 19, 2015
As comfortable as advertised Installed this seat prior to long ride and was immediately impressed with the comfort versus the stock KLR 2 x 6. Previously the sore buns started around 20 miles out, not with this seat. Easily go 200 miles without stopping. November 17, 2014
So much better than stock Haven't done more than 100 miles in one day yet but after 20 minutes on the stock seat I was squirming or standing up. On the sergeant I haven't even thought of doing either. Was really tight putting it on the first time but after using it for a week it went on much easier the second time and is now as easy to install as the stock one was. October 13, 2014
Doesn't fit my 2008 KLR 650 Fast shipping and the seat arrived well packed. I have tried several times to install, it just will not fit on the prong and clip that are on the bottom front of the seat, I will likely return it since I am tired of trying to install it. September 17, 2014
Very good quality Happy with purchase, comfortable. Glad I bought it. September 8, 2014
Essential upgrade I got the low seat and I immediately felt at home in the saddle. Definitely recommend this seat over the stock seat. It makes a huge difference on comfort for long or short trips. August 4, 2014
So much better that stock. After 4000 miles on my stock KLR 650 seat I finally gave in and bought this seat. I can't say enough how much more enjoyable it is to ride now. On the old seat, after 50 miles I would start getting numb bum and tingling in my legs. Would need stop and walk around and NOT look forward to getting back on after a few stops. Rode 100 miles straight yesterday and could have easily gone another with no discomfort. The wide pan and gel like padding makes all the difference. Looks great too. Install was easy enough once I realized the fork type thing on the from of the seat needs to go under the bracket that holds the gas tank. It tended to try and go between the bracket and the tank. I put the original seat back on and noted how it's suppose to go. Once I saw that, its was pretty easy to get the forks under the bracket with a little pressure on the top of the seat. then is all snapped into place. July 20, 2014

Greg T: The most comfortable seat I have had. I have one on my DR650 and I have had one on a previous KLR. Always top notch quality and all day comfort. Mar 9, 2015
Alfred A: This is my 4th Sargent motorcycle seat. I have had excellent results with installing Sargent seats on my bikes. A tad lower that stock, stylish and WAY more comfortable. Mar 5, 2015
Kerry R: i called corbin they couldnt tell me if there low seat would fit a 2014 klr new addition Feb 27, 2015
Samuel S: It seemed to be the best reviewed low seat for the KLR650 Feb 11, 2015
Keefe R: I'm short. And I confirmed with Sargent that this seat fits the 2014 KLR new edition. Nov 14, 2014
Jason G: Read nothing but good reviews from many KLR 650 riders in several forums. I was looking for a lower seat then stock because I am only 5'8" and also a seat that was going to be more comfortable then stock Nov 4, 2014

Jon B: The stock KLR 650 seat is notoriously bad. Reading a substantial amount or reviews this seat won out. Aug 20, 2014
Jose P: Recommended from KLR650 forums. Aug 18, 2014
Danny B: great reviews from other riders.
My old butt needs all the help it can get, on long rides.

Charles P: Reviews and price. Mar 29, 2014
Roberto S: good reviews Mar 10, 2014
Jason H: Hoping to find a better long distance seat. Particularly for two up riding of 400-600 mile days on a KLR650. Jan 13, 2014
Robert M: I chose this seat because of the reviews I read and the stock seat is not suitable for extended rides. Jan 13, 2014
Peter S: Mistakenly thought it would be a huge upgrade from my wearing-out stock seat because of how great my Sargent seat for another motorcycle is. For me, wrong assumption. I much prefer the stock KLR seat. Nov 11, 2013
Kent D: The Sargent and Corbin replacement seats for the KLR650 both get good reviews for comfort and appear to maintain the adventure bike look and functionality. At $314 (Sargent) versus $417 (Corbin), I went with the least expensive. The Russell seat is really beautiful and appears to be very comfortable, but I can't picture using it in the back country where we often ride. Oct 7, 2013
A shopper asked: I actually only need to know how much more it lowers my reach to the ground when sitting at a light. Some lower seats are wider, and don't really help you reach the ground better. I am inseam challenged, and cannot "flat-foot" on the stock seat. I also find the stock seat uncomfortable. I don't mind the height, except when on gravel, because my tip-toes don't have enough of a "footprint" for traction, and I'm always slipping whenever I am stopped on gravel.

I have to ride on gravel roads everyday, as well as stop. Will this seat improve my leg's reach to the ground? I'm thinking two inches should do it, but I don't want to lose any suspension travel by lowering the bike.

syaoran: I was looking for the same information then I came across the following review.

Based on the information within the review, the low profile seat will drop you down 2 inches.

Hope this helps.

RevZilla: The low seat is approximately 1 inch lower than stock. The true benefit is that the front of the saddle is tapered and more narrow so that your legs are not forced apart as much while stopped with your feet on the ground. Jul 13, 2012

OKREDNECK: I have 30" legs, on my KLR650 I can back it up in the gravel. I live out in (BFE) Oklahoma, so I'm on gravel 90% of the time. Jan 21, 2013

A shopper asked: Hello! I have a couple of questions.
1) Does this seat fit a 2014 KLR?
2) Which seat is more comfortable for long rides, the low or the standard?

Jorge L: Good day I bought this seat because the standar seat it is really uncomfortable, I have SARGENT WORLD SPORT ADVENTURE TOURING SEAT "STANDARD" and works excelent. Its fit perfect as the OEM seat. Is very confortable for long rides. I have 2000 miles with it and no complains. Also is very confortable for the passanger. From 1 to 10 I will rate it with 9.
