As advertised much more comfort for much longer. No more hot spots and now the sv650 doesn't smash my junk into the tank on decel
As advertised. Great product ,easy install. My sv650 would be uncomfortable after about an hour and unbearable after and hour and a half. I don't know how long I can go on the sergeant because I just haven't hit its limit yet. Looks good fit perfect.

Would buy again
Last year I took my SV650 (n) on a 1,300 mile round trip and found out first hand what folks were saying about the stock seat being uncomfortable.
My experience with the stock seat is that it's comfortable for about 20 minutes, at which point shifting your weight buys you another 10 minutes or so of comfort. Around 40 minutes to an hour though, there's no comfortable position left and even stopping to walk around is only a temporary help.
Comparing that to the Sargent seat, I find that I can ride for about 40 minutes before I start noticing my rear end falling asleep. Shifting my weight fixes this for another 40 minutes, and as soon as I stop to walk around there's no lingering discomfort.
After reading the reviews I built my expectations up to thinking this seat would allow me to ride all day in comfort. I'm slightly let down by the fact that this isn't quite true (especially considering the price tag) but I do believe it's the best option out there for the SV.
Installation was a piece of cake, and the finish is very nice. I can't speak to durability too much (had the seat for ~2 months) but I believe it will last based on the apparent quality.

Great seat.
This seat will lower you almost an inch, but in doing so it really prevents you from getting your crotch smooshed against the tank with every bump in the road. The foam in it does conform and is quite comfortable. A must have for any stock seat riding SV650 owner.

Much More Comfortable
I was considering a Corbin but I am really happy with the Sargent seat. I ordered it with the black piping and it really looks great, and a whole lot cheaper than the Corbin. More importantly, unlike the stock seat which seemed to encourage sliding forward toward the tank, the Sargent is flater near the back of the seat. I am looking forward to testing it on a long ride. As a side note I also ordered the rear cover to match the pilot set and the installation was easy as long as you have a power stapler. As always Revzilla is awesome in terms of quick shipping and customer service.

Best upgrade for my SV so far
As most riders know, the SV-650 stock seat isn't very comfy after about an hour on the bike. I researched options through word of mouth and message boards. Through these avenues, it seemed the consensus was with Corbin, Suzuki gel seat, and Sargent.
I decided to go with Sargent because I read that it lowered ride height less so than the Corbin, and that the gel seat got really hot while left in the sun.
My experience so far has been great. At first I was skeptical, and thought the seat lowered ride height. I put the original back on, and I think the Sargent actually is about the same height.
As far as comfort, I immediately felt the difference. The firmness is there, and after a few hundred miles, your rear actually gets used to it quite well. I can now ride for hours and not have to stop and rest my butt, or squirm and look awkward trying to find a better position.
Totally recommend this seat. It's pricey, but I feel it is worth it if you plan on any kind of day trips or touring on the SV.
