Good supports, lacking bolts
These supports do the job well. They are pretty simple to install and have a good finish. I had to buy longer bolts to fit my Vulcan. These come with:

(2) M10x70 Hex bolts
(2) M10x50 Hex bolts
(4) M8x30 Hex bolts
(4) M8x45 Hex bolts

If those won't work for your bike expect to buy other bolts.

Fits the subject bike fine, does the job of keeping aftermarket nylon bags off the wheel. Included bolts were not an ideal length -- difficult for a "universal" package to truly be universal I suppose. You may need to purchase bolts separately.

Serves its purpose well, especially for vintage bikes!
These brackets were a life saver since my Yamaha Maxim is 30 years old and parts can be quite difficult to find. I went to a fab shop for an estimate for having brackets fabricated, the labor charge was about $200! I thought I was doomed to never ride with saddlebags until I found these. I had to get alternate bolts as the ones that came with them were not the right fit, and had to drill my sissy bar to get them to fit, but otherwise it was a smooth install. Pictures and a more detailed set of instructions would have been very helpful though. They're riding well and I'm happy with this purchase, def would recommend! :)

Perfect Fit Honda Rebel
I purchased these to mount my Tour Master Nylon Cruiser III Slant Saddlbags (size M) to my Honda Rebel... or rather to have my husband mount them for me. They worked great but we did have to cut down and then re-thread some of the bolts.

Doing the job
As described, one set of 4 screws fit my bike, no other hardware needed.
I have large leather hard-sided bags (inherited with my used bike), and the horizontal arm of these brackets hits the bag right in the middle. Since there is a hard plastic liner inside the bags, and using small bungies on the attach points, the bags hardly move at all in or out, front or rear.
Finish issue - one of these supports had some chipped chrome at the bolting bracket end, came in the package this way, I guess a bad day at the QC dept.

It does the job.
It would have been nice to have better instructions with a picture. This is my first bike and I am learning as I go how things work. None of the bolts included would fit my 2005 Honda Shadow 600vlx. I had to go to Lowes for longer bolts to replace the stock bolts. But all in all after working with it for a while I got them on and they seem to work fine.

Unacceptable
Unless your saddle bags are tiny these will not work for you. If you are using anything larger than a kids lunch box these will not work.

Is there any video or guide on how to install this? I've been searching for it with no luck. I want to see how it's installed before I order it. Thanks in advance!

BEST ANSWER: I recently put these brackets on my bike. Vstar 650. Install was very EZ. and the instructions that came with them was pretty clear. You might try looking up videos in You Tube but really its rather straight forward. Just remember the brackets have a slight angle to them. You want that angle pushing the saddle bag AWAY from the frame. Hope this helps.
Will these work on an 84 Honda VF 500F ?

BEST ANSWER: I would be careful here...I was told they would fit my 2006 shadow...they did not and I returned them for an in store credit.
